The Supreme Man: Took Everything in Power

Chapter 909 The Last Supper

Chapter 909 The Last Supper

"Yulia, oh, Yulia, I don't even know what to say about you anymore," Hillary exclaimed, rolling her eyes. "You have so many talented young men to connect with, but you chose to associate with this kind of troublemaker! I think your judgment has gone astray."

She first pointed at Kendall.

"Look at Mr. Lawson. What kind of status and position does he have?"

Then, she pointed at Kingsley.

"Look at this troublemaker next to you; he's just worthless. I don't understand what you're thinking."

"Who said he's a troublemaker?" Yulia exclaimed. "He's a hero! He saved me twice!"

"A hero?" Hillary looked around the small shop and sneered. "This hero of yours is too pitiful. Bringing a woman to eat at a place like this? I'm embarrassed for him."

Yulia glanced at Kingsley's expression, afraid that he might feel embarrassed, and quickly said, "Who said he brought me here? I invited him for this meal."

This statement wouldn't have mattered if it wasn't said, but once it was spoken, Hillary burst into laughter. "Oh my, Yulia, you're so naive. You're even treating him to a meal at this rundown place. This guy is penniless."

Even the nearby diners look down on Kingsley with disdain.

They've already regarded Kingsley as a beggar who can't even keep himself clean.

Although they're also eating here, it's just a casual bite.

If they treat a girl to a meal, they will grit their teeth and go to a nice place.

What's more, having the girl pay is just embarrassing to talk about.

Hillary said to Yulia, "Haven't you realized yet? This guy is just a useless scoundrel. He saved you only for your beauty and wealth, but Mr. Lawson is different. He's the junior president of Lawson Group. If you're with him, you'll enjoy endless wealth and glory. The places you go will all be high- class hotels."

Upon saying that, she looked at Kendall: "Isn't that right, Mr. Lawson?"

Kendall revealed a proud smile. "That's correct. I would never allow my woman to dine in such a dirty place if it were me. Miss Ansley, I appreciate your innocence and purity, but I also hope you understand that you can achieve social advancement only by being with me."

"You will only harm yourself by following this hopeless troublemaker," Yulia said, disgusted by Kendall's arrogant demeanor.

"Mr. Lawson, my affairs are none of your concern, " Yulia retorted stubbornly. "And besides, I like it here. I have enjoyed eating here since I was a child. We are not from the same world, so please stop bothering me."

"I don't need to be concerned? "Kendall sneered coldly. "Miss Ansley, let me remind you that your scandal has not yet subsided. If you continue like this, I'm afraid you won't even be able to afford this Spaghetti Bolognese."

Yulia's lips trembled as she wanted to argue further, but Kingsley interrupted, "Mr. Lawson, let me give you some advice. Instead of worrying about others, you should quickly order a spaghetti to fill your stomach."

"What do you mean?" Kendall was puzzled by Kingsley's sudden and inexplicable remark.

Kingsley smirked slightly, "Because I have a feeling. This might very well be your last dinner."

Upon hearing this, Kendall's face darkened even more.

"I won't engage in verbal sparring with you!" he snapped, glancing at his watch.

Why hasn't Mickey Kray arrived yet?! As the junior president of Lawson Group, I can't personally engage in a fight with a "thug."

So, even though he was seething with anger, he could only anxiously wait for Mickey to arrive.

Just as Kendall finished speaking, a commotion suddenly erupted outside the shop.

It was Mickey and his men.

Even before they entered, their voices could be heard:

"Mr. Lawson! We're here! I'm curious to see which fool dared to offend you!"
