Serenity and Zachary York

Chapter 3234

"Let Dylan be your guide and take you around Wiltspoon. There are a few scenic spots on the outskirts you can visit," Serenity suggested.

Imogen huffed. “He doesn't even want to talk to me. It's most important to have fun when I'm traveling and I'm not going to cling to his moody ass when he doesn't even want me around. It'll just bring me down. Are you free? Can you go shopping with me? I want to buy something. Tomorrow, I intend to visit Old Mrs. York at Wildridge Manor."

She was not going there to ask her why she had chosen her but to see the revered personage for herself.

Serenity smiled. "Sure. I have to take an afternoon nap first, though. It's a habit of mine. If I don't, I won't feel energetic in the afternoon and will be prone to headaches and eye pain."

"Sure, we'll go after your nap."

"I'll take you to my bookstore later. Jasmine is there, she's my other best friend apart from Elisa." Whenever Serenity met a new sister-in-law and got along well with her, she would introduce them to her best friends.

"Okay." Imogen had nowhere to go and nothing to do, so she was happy to go wherever Serenity wanted to take her.

"Are you going to nap too?"

"I'll rest for half an hour."

"My office isn't that big and doesn't have a separate lounge. Normally, I just pull the sofa out to make a bed and put it back once I get up. It's enough for two to squeeze on."

Imogen helped Serenity pull the sofa out into a bed. "This sofa bed is pretty nice. You should go ahead and sleep. I'm not sleepy after that cup of coffee and I'm not working right now, so I can sleep early tonight. Don't worry."

Serenity yawned. "I'll rest for a bit, then."

“Alright.” Imogen was feeling a bit guilty because she had disturbed Serenity's peaceful life.

Serenity received a text from Zachary and chatted a little with him before lying down on the sofa bed. Unguarded in Imogen's presence, she quickly fell asleep.

After her cup of coffee earlier, Imogen was very much awake. Tiptoeing to the door, she looked out to see the floor mostly still empty for lunch, with the odd few sprawled across their desks, resting. It was quiet.

She did not walk out, afraid her footsteps would disturb them. She tiptoed back to her chair and sat down before pulling out her phone to look up the Yorks online. Even though she had asked someone to look into them, she still did not know much. Serenity told her so much that she wanted to know more about this big family.

Suddenly, her phone beeped with Dylan's text in reply, one after another.noveldrama

Imogen muttered to herself, "Well if pigs aren't flying. He's finally replying." Dylan was asking her when she was returning to Huntington.
