Chapter 95 Where Did She Go?
Chapter 95 Where Did She Go?
She kept smiling, but her heart became sad and numb because of his words. The indescribable pain
and coldness made her feel as if she had fallen into an ice hole.
She was surrounded by ice, which pierced her.
"A wife's right, is it enough?" After a long time, she raised her head and looked up at him, saying
slowly.
"A wife's right..."
It seemed that Beau had been moved a little by this sentence.
"But I don't know whether you regarded me as your wife or not. Maybe I overestimated myself again."
She said coldly and indifferently with a wry smile. But it sounded so painful.
He looked at the face in front of him. She looked so stubborn and cold. With an impulsive thought, he
wanted to reach out and touch her cheek. The feeling was so strong with a little unconscious pity.
After these words, she didn't look at them but walked straight into the bathroom and closed the door.
Leaning against the bathroom wall, she could clearly hear the sound coming from outside.
However, it was no other noise but the sound of breathing outside. After a while, footsteps were heard.
Two persons, one after the other.
She put on the smiling face too long that her face froze, so she moved the muscle of her face.
Then, she pushed open the bathroom door and walked out. Instead of going to the restaurant, she
went straight to the elevator and pressed the button on the floor.
What did his birthday have to do with her?
Besides, there were too many people who would celebrate his birthday. It was not a big deal to have
one more or less. Moreover, in his eyes, she was nothing.
She was an emotional person. As long as it belonged to her, she would try her best to defend and fight
for it.
But if it didn't belong to her, she wouldn't even look at it even if someone else handed it to her.
She thought that he was hers and that she was reasonable, so she spoke righteous and aggressive
words. But she lost because of one word from him.
She felt as if it was a stinging slap across the face which made her look like a funny clown.
Also, she would never cry in front of a man. She was not a soft person and would never be.
Walking on the street, feeling cold and bleak, Harriet lowered her gaze and stopped a taxi. She sat in
and looked out of the window, lost in thought.
Seemingly thinking of something, she took out her mobile phone and called Senya. "Where are you
now?"
"We're drinking at the Moonlight Bar. Do you want to come?" Senya had obviously drunk a lot and
couldn't speak clearly.
"Alright, leave me two bottles of wine..." The corner of her mouth twitched and her heart hurt that
much...
In the restaurant.
Mary went in first. After a while, Beau walked in and sat down.
Noticing that her eyes were slightly red, Sykes asked in surprise, "Mary, what's wrong with your eyes?"
Mary trembled slightly and twitched her mouth into a smile, then said indifferently, "The liquid soup
splashed into my eyes, and I rubbed them a few times. So..."
That was it. Sykes looked at the door of the restaurant and said, "Where's Harriet? It's been so long,
hasn't she finished the phone yet? The dishes would be cold soon..."
Hearing this, Beau's expression changed a little.
Mary, who was sitting by him, glanced at him.
Of course, Lainey looked dissatisfied with Harriet and blame her for the bad behavior in her heart,
"What an important party it is. How could she have answered a phone call for so long?"
Sykes wanted to go out and look for her, but when he saw Lainey's expression, he had to give up.
Today was his eldest brother's birthday, and he did not want to make the scene unpleasant.
As time went by, all the dishes were served, and they had begun to eat. Some of the dishes were no
longer warm, but Harriet still didn't come back.
Lowering his gaze, Beau looked down at the watch on his wrist. Then, his eyes narrowed bit by bit.
It had been more than half an hour since he came out of the bathroom...
Then, he stood up from the chair, said lightly, "I'll make a phone call..."
As soon as he stepped out of the restaurant, he immediately increased his pace and rushed toward the
ladies' room.
Looking at the disappearing figure, Mary drew back her sight and took a sip of the sweet soup.
Although it was sweet, it was extremely bitter to her.
She couldn't help but grip her jacket. She thought that he's not going to make a phone call, but to find
Harriet.
However, she could not catch up now. The only thing she could do was to sit here and wait.
The hotel waiter was cleaning the room. When she looked up, she saw a handsome man walking in
quickly.
She was really shocked and screamed. Just as she was about to remind the man of going to the wrong
bathroom, she saw him open all the bathroom doors. It seemed that he was looking for something.
"What a handsome man. Might he a mentally ill guy?"
The woman was a little panicked. She clung to the wall and moved outward.
Turning around, Beau stood in front of the woman, looking down at her, and said coldly. "Where is the
woman here?"
"Wh-what woman?" The woman was so nervous that she stammered.
"A woman in an apricot-colored coat..."
"I... I... When I came in just now... I saw her leave the hotel..."
His brows furrowed as a nameless rage rose in his heart and his expression became extremely cold.
Now the woman was so scared that she couldn't even say a word and trembled slightly against the
wall.
Looking away, Beau strode out of the bathroom with a straight face. He took out his mobile phone from
his suit and dialed the number.
For the first time, no one answered.
When he dialed again, the phone was turned off.
Hence, he looked angrier and walked into the living room, picked up his black coat, and said
indifferently to the three of them, "Let's go."
Lainey was a little confused. "Where are we going?"
"Back to the House of Wright..."
"You haven't eaten anything for dinner. Why are you in such a hurry to go back?"
Looking at the food on the table, he was not interested in it at all. He just said coldly, "If you are not full
yet, go back to House of Wright later. I'll go back first..."
