Chapter 901: The Unnoticed Gentleness
The child was still awake.
Perhaps it was because of the fresh air outside, the child kept waving her hands and feet, full of excitement!
Grandma’s cheeks were extremely adorable.
“Are you this happy?”
Seeing the child in that moment, Orion’s face revealed a subtly unnoticed gentleness.
Luna promptly handed over the milk bottle.
Orion took it and started feeding the child.
As the baby touched the bottle, it grabbed, and rosy lips fumbled around.
She must be hungry.
Orion asked her, “Childcare provider, is there a specific way to feed the child?”
He turned his head.
Luna was smiling as she watched the child.
When their eyes met, Luna hesitated for a moment before taking over.
“Like this!”
Saying that, Luna demonstrated to Orion.
“The child is lying happily on the bed, there’s no need to lift him up, but we must be careful. If the position is wrong, he could choke!”
Watching Luna’s careful movements, Orion silently observed!
The bottle reached the baby’s lips.
Watching the baby drink eagerly, Luna smiled.
“Excellent!”
Luna lowered her gaze, wanting to touch the child’s cheek!
Just as her fingertips were about to touch the child’s face, Luna suddenly remembered the person behind her!
She was just a childcare provider and shouldn’t overstep her boundaries.
“How is she today?”
Ignoring Luna’s actions, Orion took a step forward!
“No crying, no tantrums, eating and drinking normally. She had a slight fever at one point, but it has subsided.”
Glancing at the teddy bear next to the child, Luna suddenly turned back!
“Mr. Russo, although the child already has a full name, it’s a bit formal to always call her by that name. Why not give her a nickname!”
Looking at the child’s smiling face, Luna couldn’t decide on a name.
She had been thinking about this for the past few days.
She couldn’t just call the child “baby” all the time; a nickname would be more intimate!
“A nickname?”
Orion seemed surprised by the suggestion.
A breeze passed through the window, his gaze flickered, and his voice was soft.
“That’s right!”
After pondering for a moment, Orion looked at Luna beside him!
“I’m not good at naming, why don’t you do it!”
“Me?”
Luna pointed to herself in surprise.
When she saw him nod, she felt a bit awkward.
“I’m not sure if that’s appropriate…”
She was a childcare provider and needed to be mindful of her position at all times.
“Let Mr. Russo come up with a name!”
She wanted to give her daughter a nickname, but she had already named her once. It wouldn’t be right to do it again.
“If you don’t want to, it’s fine!”
Orion didn’t insist, shaking his head and giving Luna a complicated look!
Taking a deep breath, Orion fell silent.
“You said before, Gloria Russo, that her eyes were like stars.”
Coming back to his senses, Orion looked at Luna. “In that case, let’s call her Star!”
Star… so casual!
He hadn’t given her a full name, and now he was giving her a casual nickname?
“Star!”
As Luna was silently dissatisfied, Orion smiled!
“My daughter’s eyes are as bright as stars. I hope she shines brightly in the future.”
That was meaningful. Everything had changed, and she and the past were no longer connected.
Orion wouldn’t see the child and think of the past anymore…
“Mmm…”
With sweat beading on her forehead from nursing, the baby was wiped by Freya!
Seeing the bottle in the baby’s hand empty, Luna finally smiled.
“She can really drink. Right now is the time when she needs nutrition the most, showing that her health is good!”
Babies were easily sleepy.
After finishing the milk, Luna cuddled and rocked the baby a bit, and Star was already on the verge of falling asleep.
“Star…”
Luna kept saying this name.
Watching Luna soothing the baby gently, Orion didn’t say anything. He turned and left the room!
He finished work early today and didn’t have time to eat.
He thought of checking the kitchen for food. As he turned towards it, Luna had already managed to lull the baby to sleep.
“Mr. Russo, would you like some food?”
After some thought, Luna walked towards the kitchen door.
“I finished work early today, so I came back sooner and didn’t eat outside!”
Orion was worried because he didn’t see Luna and the baby on the screen, so he hurried back home.
Now, seeing that both Luna and the baby were safe, his tense heart finally relaxed!
“There seems to be nothing to eat at home…”
Apart from a few eggs and instant noodles, there was nothing to eat!
At that moment, the doorbell rang.
“Who is it?”
He glanced at the clock; it was almost 8 o’clock!
It was already evening, so who could it be?
The doorbell rang again.
Seeing that Orion showed no intention of going, Luna went to open the door!
“Mr. Russo!”
With a click, the door was opened, and outside, Vivian was holding a not-so-small lunch box.
“Mr. Russo, I heard that you didn’t eat at the company’s restaurant downstairs today, so I made some for you…”
As she spoke, her gaze seemed to be assessing Luna.
Luna lowered her head and stepped aside.
Vivian discreetly averted her gaze.
“Why are you here?”
Orion was holding a glass of water, and he walked over.
“Mr. Russo…”
Seeing Orion, Vivian put on a smiley face.
Before entering, she even nudged Luna to the side!
Luna almost lost her balance but managed to steady herself.
Orion seemed to have not noticed and fell silent for a moment. Luna didn’t speak.
He pursed his lips.
“Mr. Russo, I heard that you’ve been working hard on those projects these past few days and need a good meal in the evening. I originally wanted the company’s kitchen to make you some nourishing chicken soup, but since you didn’t eat at the company today, I had to make it myself!”
Vivian checked the time.
“You worked late today, and I rushed home and made this for you now. Are you hungry, Mr. Russo?”
Luna stood at the entrance of the living room.
The warm light illuminated Orion and Vivian’s faces, and they seemed to be getting along.
Vivian’s lunchbox was already quite big.
When she opened it, there were several dishes, big and small, that looked appetizing.
