Will You Marry Me, Again

Chapter 309

Chapter 309 | Didn’t Dare Say It

It didn’t take long before several bodyguards arrived at Victoria’s room and put a tape over Fiona’s mouth so she couldn't scream. Then, they moved her out of there.

“Thanks for your help, Ms. Victoria.”

“I'm indebted to Cedric. It's only right that | help him.” She gestured at Baz and told him to forgo the formalities with her. “You should get to it. I'll clean up and head to the dining hall for breakfast. I’m starving.”

Baz nodded. He knew her well, so he left her room without a word.

Maia was still leaning on the television cabinet, checking her phone. The netizens was still talking about last night's The Horizon Awards.

Victor's actions were horrendous. More celebrities opened up about their stories. The entire internet went crazy. Mykonos Studio was facing the biggest crisis it has ever seen.

Many entertainment companies wanted to gain something from their downfall, but Maia was one step ahead of them and arranged for Buck to buy their shares. He stayed at Prismara instead of following her to Maya Cove.

It wasn’t just because of Hope attending The Horizon Awards. The netizens were having heated discussions about it, too.

“Don't you think Starlight Entertainment moved very fast? | don’t think any other companies in the industry can match their speed. Not only is Maia competent, but she also has a keen sense of the bigger picture.”

“How do you figure that? What if she set up the whole thing for Victor? The live stream was disconnected last night. We missed the latter part of the situation.”

“My friend, who works at the scene, told me that they continue to show the clips where Victor insulted Maia on the screen. What's more, it was a clip taken during The Horizon Awards. I'll leave it to you guys to figure out why it was shown on the screen.

“Hehe. It doesn’t matter if Maia set up the whole thing. She has my full support. Victor has poached many celebrities from her company. There was a time when Mykonos Studio was full of celebrities who had all transferred from Starlight Entertainment!”

“You said it. Victor's such a scumbag. He needs to be taken down a peg! Are we supposed to let him walk free? Even if Maia set up the whole thing, she should acquire Mykonos Studio! She deserves to have it for bringing justice to all the victims!”

“Starlight Entertainment has never mistreated its celebrities. They canceled Bruno’s contract back then. Their public relations department moved fast. Myrtle owed them her comeback into

Maia should be the industry leader!” +15 BONUS

Maia read through the comments. There were all sorts of comments, but none of them stood up for Victor. After all, everyone would seethe with anger after they saw the evidence!

Out of nowhere, another topic popped up on the trending search. It was a phone interview with Cedric.

Maia was startled and clicked it. A famous broadcast channel was critical of Victor’s actions. It also released a phone interview with Cedric.

“What's your take on the incident with Victor last night, Mr. Cedric?” The reporter asked politely through the phone. “He had it coming,” Cedric said coldly. It was just a phone interview, but his hostility was so intense she could hear it.

“Do you think this incident would affect The Horizon Awards and HL Corporation’s plans for Maya Cove Resorts?” The reporter asked politely again.

In his usual cold tone, he said, “There won't be any adverse effects. I’m happy | could provide a platform to expose Victor’s heinous acts.”

Both the resort and Sunny Videos belonged to his company. The reporter sounded a little stiff at this point. He could only ask Cedric three questions, but he never counted on the fact that it'd be this hard.

“What's your take on Ms. Maia, the CEO of Starlight Entertainment, who acquired Mykonos Studios?”

“It's a classic case of survival of the fittest. My wife is extremely tough.” Cedric’s answer was straight to the point, but there was a lot to unpack there.

“Another question, if | may.” The reporter asked nervously.

“Too many questions,” Cedric said coldly.

“|-It's something everyone cares about.” The reporter started sweating again. He had to ask it.

“Out with it.”

“Did you get back with Ms. Maia?”

Cedric said nothing and hung up the phone subsequently.

Maia chuckled at that. She gripped the blanket and opened the door to look for him. He was nowhere to be seen, though. 1219

‘Huh? Where is he?*

She was puzzled as she took a step out of the door. Just as her feet touched the ground, somebody pinned her on the wall. “What are you doing out here, looking like this?” Cedric said charmingly.

“Why did you hang up the phone in the interview?” Maia wagged her phone at him. Cedric frowned, caught her hand, and pinned it on the wall.

“| didn’t dare to answer him.” Maia was a little surprised, “Didn’t dare? Since when have you been afraid to say your piece, Cedric?” “| have a ferocious lady for a wife, after all. She’s a savage.” He smiled wickedly, but there was only warmth in it.

“Who are you calling a ferocious lady, Cedric?” Maia was a little frustrated and bared her nails at him. Cedric only had one of her hands pinned, so she could swipe at him with her other hand!

“Are you admitting that you’re my wife?” “Did you set me up, Cedric?” Maia stared at him.

“My ferocious lady is about to do her thing.” He gripped her other hand and pinned both of her hands to the wall. Then, he lowered his head and closed his lips on hers.

“Mmph?” Maia’s eyes widened. She was caught unaware by this kiss. There was joy and love in his eyes as he kissed her. “| didn’t dare to reveal too much to the reporter. | was worried you’d get mad and make me sleep on the floor.”
