CHAPTER 19: THE TRUTH ABOUT TRANZ
A month passed quickly. I was released from the hospital last week and I currently live in the apartment that Tricia herself took. I don't even have a cent in my pocket because I left the money and my ATM and passbook at our home. Fortunately, Tricia owned the hospital so I didn't pay anything.
I'm having a hard time, especially that it's hard to forget what happened to me. For the rest of my life, I will remember my child. I don't even know what he looks like. This is the painful part, you know there is life inside you, and you're expecting it, but because of some negligence, you can't even see that life even for a moment. I'm blaming Tranz for what happened. There's a part of me that wants to get even, but it discourages me. And one more, call me dumb, but I want to talk to Tranz. I want to know his reason.
"What's your plan now?" Tricia asked as I caressed my son's tombstone. I am very grateful to the Capestrana siblings because even though my baby was only two months old, they gave him a proper burial.
"I want to talk to Tranz..." I answered directly so I heard her violent sigh.
"Are you crazy, Mina? Ah, you're crazy! For Pete's sake, Mina! Fix the screw in your brain! Fix your life! Have you forgotten what happened to you and your son ?!" she shouted at me.
I shook and let the tears trickle down my eyes. "You don't understand me, Tricia, eh..." I said as an excuse even if I'm not rational.
"What do I not understand, huh?" This time her voice was soft.
I did not answer. I looked at my son's grave and caressed my chest that continued to hurt.
What do you want me to do, baby?
"You want to know why your husband treats you like this? Or do you want to know who your husband's woman is?" she asked me without me answering her.
"I don't need to know who my husband's woman is because I already know who she is. Even before."
"Who? Lily?"
"Yes. Who else, Tricia? " I looked at her intently.
"Why is she on your mind, Mina? We know Lil-"
My gaze became sharp on her? What the fuck is she saying? Does that mean they already met ?!
I couldn't believe it as I looked at her.
"Do you know Lily?" She nodded so I smirked. "Ha! So, you're lying to me all this time ?! I trusted you, Tricia! We became best friends despite the little time we spent together! I trusted you because I thought you were honest. But I was wrong! You too, can't be trusted!"
"You have to listen to me, Mina. I know that you're frustrated and-"
"Yes, I am! Who wouldn't be frustrated, right? Has your husband cheated on you, have you lose a child?! And now what? I just discovered that the only person I thought was my ally in this place was just fooling me! And what's even worst, you sided with a woman you don't even know very well!"
I'm raging with anger right now. I wanted to hurt her, but I couldn't. Because I admit it, if it wasn't for Tricia, I probably wouldn't be here today.
But that's what you want, Mina, isn't it? You want to disappear forever because you're hoping Tranz to feel at least a little remorse in case you disappeared?
I pulled myself first before I turned my back on her. I will call Lele so we can talk. I will approach her first. For now, she is the only person who can help me talk to Tranz.
When I was in the cab I called Lele. I know that she was shocked because she could not speak right away. But in the end, I was able to tell her what I want. And that was to meet her.
I went to the café that was just inside the subdivision where we lived. When I arrived at the café I was even more surprised because Lele was already there. When she saw me, she immediately stood up and hugged me.
"My gosh, where have you been?! I'm worried about you, especially Daddy." The daddy she was referring to was Tranz's father. "What do you want to have?" The tension was so obvious to her that her voice almost trembled when she spoke.

Instead of answering her question, something else came out of my mouth. "Where is Tranz? Is he at home?"
She was stunned for a second because of what I asked, then confusion is visible on her face when she looks at me. "He's is in a trip. Business trip. I thought you had communication."
"Nothing. I have had no news of him since I had a miscarriage. My friend said he didn't even visit the hospital." There still seemed to be a thorn in my throat when I uttered the word friend.
"Is that so?" Lele's eyes weren't focused so I was wondering why she was behaving like this so I couldn't stop myself from asking.
"Why, Lele? Is there a problem?"
"I don't want to tell you this, Mina, but you have the right to know the truth."
I held her hand on the table because of what she said. I was so nervous. "What's that?"
"The news is all over the South Ridge Village that you have a man... And..." She looked at me as if she was estimating what she would say next.
"And what? Tell me everything, Lele. Right now, you're the only one I can run to."
"Tranz is filing an annulment ..."
I almost lost my heart because of the lingering pain in my heart.
"D-do you know the r-reason?"

Why am I like this? Why despite the pain I went through because of Tranz, I'm still here, trying to fit myself into him. Am I stupid, or just crazy?
"Mina, tell me the truth... I want to know the truth."
"About what?"
She shook her head. "D-don't. I don't have the right to ask you something personal. "
I felt irritated with the woman in front of me but I didn't show it.
"Lele, tell me the truth. Everything you know. And what are you going to ask?"
A loud sigh she let out first.
"Are you sure nothing happened to you with another man except Tranz?!"
I stood up. And out of shock at what she said I slammed my hand on the table causing other customers to look at me, but they're the least of my concern now. I don't care about them.
"What?! You know I love your stepbrother, Lele, so why would I betray him- "I was stunned by what I was saying because I remembered the first time I woke up in another room.
How can you make sure no one touched your body, Mina?
"But, Lele. You know me. I'm not that type of woman-"It was as if I was stabbed in the heart because of what she said, so what she said had not yet registered in my brain. "W-what did you say, Lele?" If I was brave a while ago, now all my strength seems to have been wiped out.
"Do you know that Tranz is barren?" Lele repeated what she asked earlier.
