Chapter 443
"One million dollars, not a penny less," Ronnie said.
Gina took the bank card. "Alright, you can leave now."
"I want to buy buy back Miller Jewels, Ronnie hurriedly said as Gina finally agreed to stop and listen to him. "Wer Miller Jewels was registered as a sub- brand under Quaria, it focused on the low-end luxury market. However, its profits aren't very good, only maintaining basic revenue because it was a brand under Quaria. Why don't you sell Millor Jewels back to us! Name your price and I'm willing to pay."
"It's not for sale," Gina replied.
Ronnie was slightly stunned. "Why, Gigi?"
"Don't call me that. It makes me sick."
When she was with the Miller family, Ronnie never did anything overtly cruel to her, but he stood by and watched as others bullied her, which was also a form of hurt.
"Miss Miller, if you don't want to sell it, can you tell me the reason? Ronnie asked again after changing his form of address.
"Because you're part of the Miller family." Gina left this answer and walked into the hospital, ignoring Ronnie.
Ronnie did not follow and pester her, instead, he turned around and left.
Late at night, Jason woke up from hunger.
He thought that when he woke up, he would see the food prepared by Ronnie on the table. After all, for the past two days, even if he didn't go downstairs to eat, Ronnie would still serve him food like a loyal se vant Jason was used to it and even enjoyed it a little.
In the past, Ronnie's presence in the family wasn't strong. However, after he came back, their broken family finally looked like home again.
Jason lamented in his heart but immediately wondered why Ronnie didn't bring him food tonight. Jason was used to being served because when he was a big star in the past, he was surrounded by assistants and admirers. Even after the Miller family's standard of living declined, Jason never helped with chores at home. However, even when Ronnie didn't serve the dinner, Jason wouldn't be so angry to find trouble with Ronnie since Ronnie was his younger brother. After Jason went downstairs, he checked the refrigerator for anything to eat, wanting to fill his stomach first. However, he found it empty and could only go upstairs while feeling frustrated. When he passed by Ronnie's room, Jason wanted to go in and ask if there was anything to eat.
After knocking on the door with no one answering, Jason managed to open Ronnie's door since it was unlocked.
Jason looked around inside but couldn't spot Ronnie. The lights were on, n, but he was nowhere to be seen.
Seeing the open window, Jason wondered if Ronnie had gone out through it. "No, why would he go through the window when there's a door?' Jason mused, puzzled.
Then, he noticed a piece of bread on Ronnie's bedside table and decided to eat it. Although it tasted a bit off, he didn't pay much attention. However, after eating, he felt a bit choked and decided to go downstairs to the kitchen for water. As he turned around, he saw Ronnie standing at the door, Jason was surprised and asked, "Why were you so quiet when you walked? Are you downstairs? Why didn't see you earlier?"
Just as Ronnie was about to respond, he noticed the bread on his table missing. "Where's the bread? Ronnie asked with his eyes widening
"I ate it because I was hungry. Did you not cook tonight?" Jason replied "I wasn't home in the evening." Ronnie explained anxiously, "Spit it out, quickly." Jason was confused and immediately retorted, "I only ate one piece of bread. Are you asking me to spit it out? You're being ridiculous, Ronnie. You're too petty." "It's not about being petty. It's not that you aren't allowed to eat my food. It's about the bread, you can't eat it." Ronnie's tone grew slightly agitated.
"Why can't I eat it? What's wrong with it?"
Jason asked, bewildered Ronnie wanted to say something but hesitated.
Frustrated by the long silence, Jason stared at him and said loudly, "This is insanel Jason by pas ed Ronnie and went back to his room. Ronnie's chest heaved as he tried to calm down, rubbing his temples before silently closing the door. Jason returned to his own, feeling a bit hungry but having nothing to eat at home. He resigned himself to hunger until morning. Feeling increasingly irritated, he finally decided to sleep, even abandoning the idea of writing songs. Jason closed his eyes but found himself unnaturally energetic. Although he had been writing songs for the entire day which resulted in exhaustion and hunger, he couldn't sleep now.
His heart raced, and an inexplicable excitement washed over him. Despite doing nothing and just staring at the ceiling, he felt an overwhelming joy and a sudden urge to laugh out loud.
After laughing suddenly in the middle of the night, he wondered if he was going crazy or perhaps possessed.
As the night progressed, Jason's excitement heightened and he began to sweat all over, it led to a physical response and he found himself in a state of arousal. Then, Jason engaged in some self-pleasing behaviors while staring at the ceiling. When he was at the peak of his excitement, he felt like dreaming about standing on a stage as if holding a concert.
The fans below the stage were holding banners and shouting his name enthusiastically. It seemed so real that he couldn't help but smile while staring at the ceiling.
The more he laughed, the more excited he became, to the point that tears welled up in his eyes, The next day, Ronnie entered Jason's room to find him lying on the floor, disheveled but asleep.
The scene was unsettling.
breathing, feeling fortunate that Jason wasn't dead.
Ronnie went forward and helped Jason with his clothes before checking his Then, Ronnie helped Jason onto the bed and woke him up. "Jason?"
Jason woke up groggily. "What's up?"
"It's morning now," Ronnie replied casually.
When Jason woke up, he was still in a daze, rubbing his temples as he felt a slight headache. Suddenly, he seemed to have thought of something and Immediately got up to close the door before turning to face Ronnie. Ronnie raised his head calmly and looked at, Jason, knowing what Jason was going to ask next Jason stared at Ronnie, feeling a bit strange when he realized the usually quiet Ronnie seemed unfamiliar at this moment. ignorant and incompetent since he was young, he had never caused any major trouble, so their parents didn't pay much attention to him. Hence, Jason and his other brothers were also unaware of what Ronnie had been up to over these years.
