Chapter 11 Friends

Hailey’s Point of View

Nurse Ally came out after she gave Raine treatment.

I felt sorry for Raine, but I didn’t want to repeat what happened when I trusted a student.

I have nothing to trust but myself. I don’t know who is trustworthy and who is a traitor.

“I’m thirsty.” Raine says.

My attention went to Raine, who is now regaining consciousness.

I immediately filled the bottle with water. When I handed it to her, she threw it away.

“I want to drink blood, not water.” She complained.

“Where can I get blood?” I asked disgustedly.

I swallowed because she looked at me. Her eyes were obviously bloodied.

I got away from her. She suddenly laughed out loud, so I looked at her badly.

“Your joke isn’t funny.” I said and rolled my eyes.

A man came in here. I flinched when Raine grabbed him and sucked his blood.

The man, on the other hand, was obviously enjoying what Raine was doing to him.

Raine says, “I’m satisfied now. You can go out now. ” The man nodded.

Raine now wipes the blood left on her lip.

“Yuckk!” I said disgustedly.

“Stop being artistic. Maybe when you taste blood you won’t stop drinking.” She was joking.

“I will never drink blood.” I say emphatically.

“The words can be broken. I’m sure the day will come when you’ll drink blood too. ” She said, grinning.

“Raine, I just want to say sorry.” I said sincerely.

“I hope you’re not mad at me. I didn’t mean for your friend to die just because of me. ” I added.

She says, “Don’t talk anymore. Because I forgive you. I should be the one to apologize for what I did wrong. I’m sorry.” I smiled at her.

“I hope that we can start all over. Can we be friends? ” I asked her.

She didn’t answer my question. Raine hugged me tightly. So I hugged her back.

“It looks like you’ve found a new friend.” Someone says.

I let go of Raine’s embrace. Then I realized that my friends were at the door.

“Guys, I’m happy because you’re here.” I said with a smile.

“We are not happy to see you.” Nadia states unequivocally.

“Why? I thought you weren’t mad at me anymore. ” I said sadly.

“Come on, don’t pretend that you really consider us friends.” Nadia says.

“Are you really a friend to me? Why are you hurting me like this? ” She was silent because of what I asked.

“Let’s go.” Theo says.

“By the time you walk away from me, you seem to have forgotten that I am your friend.” I said.

I look at them again. I hope they don’t walk away from me. I was wrong because they were just going straight away and they didn’t look at me.

My tears started to flow. It was as if something was punching my heart.

Raine hugged me, so I just leaned on her.

I say softly, “They are my friends. I don’t know why all this is happening. I love them so much and I am willing to give my life just to protect them.”

“Let them think first. Their minds will also be enlightened, unless something has poisoned their minds. ” I looked straight at Raine.

“What do you mean that someone poisoned the minds of my friends?” I asked.

“Everything you’ll believe, even if you’ve just heard it. Everything is realistic, but what you don’t know has a hidden secret in it. ” She says it figuratively.

“My friends aren’t like that.” I defend my friends.

“If they’re not like that, why are they saying hurtful words to you and why are you hurting now?” Raine asked.

I was silent because I didn’t know what to say to her.

I say, “Not everything is permanent. Everything changes too. Life has an end. The story has an end, even though our friendship will end and will end as well.” I smiled at her bitterly after I had to say those words.

“I need to know what’s really going on with my friends. Before a story ends, you can still change it and write a happier ending. ” I said to her.

I hurried out and chased after my friends.

I caught them heading to the backyard, so I blocked them.

“Get out of our way.” Ethan said.

“A plate when there’s a crack that can’t be fixed.” Agatha insisted.

“We’re not plates. Have you forgotten the ones we put together? The times and times we’re happy. ” They laugh out loud.

“We’re not your friends. You’re not our friends. ” Alejandra said, without emotion.

“I don’t believe you.” I said.

“We’re friends. You said there’s nothing to leave, but why are you leaving? ” They looked at me sharply.

Kent said, “We didn’t leave you just because we didn’t see the value in you.”

I bit my lower lip to stop my tears from falling.

I hugged Nadia tightly, but she pushed me away.

I would hug her again, but I stopped because she pulled out a knife.

They walked away from me, but I felt pain in my left arm.

I think it’s bleeding. As they walked away, Nadia secretly cut my left arm without me even feeling it.

I walk while holding my left arm that is still bleeding.

I was shocked when someone took my hand and pulled me closer to him.

“You’re not careful,” Demon said.

I was even more surprised when he sucked the blood from my left arm.

“Why did you do that?” I asked angrily.

“The knife used to cut your left arm is poisonous.” He said.

“You’re the one who I helped, but you’re still angry.” The Demon exclaimed.

“Thank you.” I thank him.

He laughed at me with an evil smile, so I slapped his chest before I ran away.

When I got away, I thought again of what the Demon had said. The knife Nadia used to hurt me was poisonous.

Why would she want to hurt me?

I also noticed that the eyes of my friends turned red. I think someone is controlling my friends. Who the hell are you controlling, my friends?
