Lustful
“Oh! Melissa, what is wrong with you?” With a deep sigh she fell on the bed burring her face in the pillow. “How could you let him get under your skin that easily?” Dragging herself from the bed, she lamented walking to the bathroom.
After having the longest shower, she got in bed but couldn’t sleep.
Still remembering her make out session with Mark, she touched her lips reliving the kiss and feeling disappointed at the same time of how easily he pushed her away.
“You’re so stupid Melissa, how could you let your guard down like that? You can’t fall for him, this is no time for love.” She reprimanded herself for thinking about that kiss.
Since that night four years ago she was wary of men touching her. Turning down every man that asked to be more than a friend, but tonight she let Mark touch her, and it felt right and natural to lose herself in his arm’s.
Melissa had never let her mind think of what happened that night, but while lying in bed her thoughts took her back to the small apartment she shared with her best friend.
Back then she was not into partying like her childhood friend Diana, but she was dragged by her to different party’s most of the time.
Being the end of another school year, there was a party organized for the graduand at the university, and Diana’s boyfriend as part of the organizing team offered to get them free tickets, and as always Diana had to take her along.
“Mel I bought a beautiful dress for you for tonight’s party, let go get dressed.” Diana pulled her from her study table to the closet.
“No D I really can’t go to the party tonight, I have to study for the exams.” Melissa tried to protest but Diana couldn’t hear any of it.
“You study all the time, why don’t you relax and have some fun. We won’t stay for long, come on get dressed, Josh is waiting for us.” She urged her placing the dress on the bed. “You are the smartest student I know Melissa, even if you don’t revise for the upcoming exam, you will still pass anyway.”
“Okay, okay D, you win, I’ll come with you but we have to be back before midnight. You know I don’t like staying out late.”
With her agreeing to go, Diana took her phone and sent a message.
“Who are you chatting with?” Looking at Diana, Melissa thought her behavior was suspicious but didn’t press on it so much.
“It’s Josh, I was telling him to wait at the entrance since he has the tickets. Let me help you with the makeup.”
“Okay, but please don’t put too much.” She instructed sitting at the dressing table as Diana got her make up kit.
The party was at one of the most prestigious hotels in the city. Taking a cab to the hotel they met Josh at the lobby, and he walked them into the party.
The place was lively with the disco light, the loud music, people dancing and drinking. It was too noisy giving Melissa a light headache since she was not into those kind of things and didn’t drink alcohol. Closely following Diana and Josh they went to a secluded corner and sat on the seven seaters coach.
“I’ll go get the drinks.” Diana offered excusing herself leaving Melissa at the company of her boyfriend. She knew Melissa didn’t drink but she had her own plans for the night, and promising to get her non alcoholic drink she went to the bar.
As Melissa sat there beside Josh waiting for Diana to get back, she felt uncomfortable at how he kept checking her out.
Though they didn’t talk much, he commented on how beautiful she looked in the blue dress she wore, which was short barely covering her thighs, forcing her to keep pulling it down, making her feel uneasy having her legs exposed and all the men in the room looking at her with lustful eye’s.
When Diana brought the drinks, she pulled her boyfriend to the dance floor leaving Melissa all alone.
“I don’t like how your looking at my friend.” She heard her complain to her boyfriend who tried to deny the obvious.
“Hey lovely, like to dance with me?” Left alone, some guy approached her but she declined.
Looking at the many men and women dress in almost nothing drinking and dancing clinging to each other, Melissa felt out of place. Like a rabbit in a wolves den, she sat quietly at the corner with the drink in her hand. Sitting all alone made her an easy target as many men hit on her but she declined all of them opting to staying out of trouble.
Looking around the room feeling more tired than she felt walking in, her eyes met the most handsome guy she had ever seen. She didn’t know if he sensed her staring at him but he turned, and their eyes met locking in a gaze as she inadvertently bit her lower lip.
He had the most captivating eyes and from across the room, they could only see each other, but the contact broke when one of the guys accompanying him, pulled him out the door.
“He’s Mark from one of the richest family in the country.” Leaning from the back, Diana whispered in her ear.
Diana new almost everyone in the higher society in campus, making Melissa wonder if she had some business in campus she didn’t know about.
Though Diana was her childhood friend and shared the apartment, they didn’t spend much time together. Most of the time she didn’t stay in the room with the excuse that she was out partying with some of her friends whom she never introduced to her.
Hearing Diana’s words, Melissa didn’t say anything as she took the drink she had handed her before and kept drinking. She didn’t know what was added in the fruit punch, it was so sweet but had some hint of alcohol which she didn’t mind at the moment, since it relaxed her in the chaotic room.
As Diana and her boyfriend sat beside her, she excused herself to go to the restroom but swayed almost falling when she got up.
“Mel, what wrong? Are you feeling sick” Diana asked helping her up and supporting her to the bathroom leaving Josh behind.
“I feel so hot and dizzy, it’s so uncomfortable.” She said fanning herself.
“Maybe you drunk a lot. Let me support you.” Not responding, Melissa kept walking, but when they neared the bathroom door, everything went blank.
With her eyes half opened, she felt two men lift her up.
“Wait, where are you taking me?” She questioned trying to keep herself a wake but they didn’t respond and she thought maybe Diana had asked for help to take her home.
Minutes later she woke up in a dimly lit room.
Looking from the bedsheets to the things around, she realized it was not her room but the hotel’s. Feeling uncomfortable and really hot, she couldn’t stay on the bed nor could she stay in the room since she wanted to get back to her apartment.
She got out of the room but in the hall way she didn’t know where to go. It was the hotel where the party was held with a lot of rooms, with all the doors closed and no one around to help her.
As she walked a long the corridor, her condition worsened by the minute. Needing something to ease the uncomfortable feeling, she touched her body feeling like tearing her clothes off. As she stopped trying to catch her breath, she leaned trying to support herself still tagging on her clothes but the wall caved in. Losing her balance, she realized she was leaning on a door that was opened from the inside.
Falling on something warm, she felt relieve causing her to lose her senses, and attacked the person she fell on trying to ease herself.
“Please help me, can’t take it anymore.” She murmured unable to resist any longer and the person didn’t mind. He seemed to have lost his mind just has she had.
Being wasted from the wild party they had, his friend got the room for him to rest and sober up, and on his way out of the room to get his friend to drive him home, a young almost naked woman fell on him and started tearing off his clothes. Before he could protest they were both rolling in bed with him taking the reins.
He was never into the kind of women who jumped on men but he was so drunk to care, and the woman in his arms was no ordinary woman to him.
Opening her eyes as the first light hit her face, Melissa woke up with an headache and a sore body.
She tried getting up but something was holding her down, and as she looked down at the arm holding her in place she felt lost. Turning to look at the handsome man sleeping beside her, she realized he was the same man she had seen at the party, and for a moment she didn’t know how she got there but then the memory of what had happened between them came flashing back.
Crawling out of bed, she put on her torn dress covering herself up with a bathrobe and tip toed out of the room carrying her shoes before he woke up.
…
From that night she hated men, more so Mark for taking advantage of her but remembering how she got in the room, she realized, he may have been a victim.
At that party she only took the drink that Diana brought her, and after all those years she didn’t understand what had really happen.
Someone had drugged her but why didn’t Mark try to stop her when she got to his room? Was Diana working with Mark to get her to sleep with him?
She couldn’t get answers since nothing made sense. Diana was her best friend, she couldn’t harm her, but if she did drug her, Melissa wondered what she had planned to do if she didn’t get out of that room.
