Chapter 218 I'm Leaving Right Now

Chapter 218 I'm Leaving Right Now

Jane was curious when Ella kept hanging up the phone. She asked, "Mom, why aren't you answering

your phone?" Ella looked at her, noticing that she had similar eyes to her father.

"No. Let's get to sleep."

Ella edited a quick message and sent it before she went to bed with her daughter.

Samuel, in his car, was in a confused state when he read her message.

'Mr. Shao, I'm no longer a little girl who can easily be fooled."

He was helpless because Ella refused to answer any of his calls, unable to find out why she was angry.

He called home, but was told that Ella hadn't arrived yet.

Then he called Eden, only to be told that Ella left as soon as she finished working at around seven.

Where could she have gone?

An idea crossed his mind and he called Eason.

Eason was trying to cheer Anna up because she had been depressed lately because of Judith.

"Honey, don't be sad. It's no good for the baby."

Judith's appearance had resurfaced some feelings that Anna had wanted to keep hidden.

"Okay." She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to push away the thoughts from her mind.

When Eason's phone rang, Anna didn't open her eyes, but listened quietly when he answered it.

"Oh, hi, what a surprise!"

Eason's tone was playful, recalling Samuel's and Ella's passionate embraces that had caused an

internet frenzy.

"Eason, is she there?" Eager to know the answer, Samuel asked politely.

In fact, he didn't want to be that polite because Eason was a show off.

"Wow, pigs do fly? Listen to how polite you are being. It's quite unusual!" Eason teased him

dramatically.

Eason didn't stop making fun of him until Anna patted him on the shoulder.

"Samuel, what's the problem now?" He felt something was wrong with Ella when he saw her earlier, but

didn't want to pry.

It stumped Samuel too. He also wondered what he had done to make her angry.

"I'm not too sure. That's why I want to ask her." Judging from the way Eason was speaking, Samuel

concluded that Ella was at his house. Samuel continued, "Open the door for me in twenty minutes." He

hang up the phone then.

Eason put on his slippers hurriedly, ran to the room Ella was in and knocked at the door.

Jane had just fallen asleep but Ella was wide awake. When she heard the knocking at the door, she got

off the bed and went to answer it.

"Ella, Samuel is on his way. But Jane..."

The news startled Ella. Out of reflex, she said, "I'm leaving right now." At that moment, Ella realised that

she wasn't mentally prepared enough to have Jane and Samuel meet each other.

She was about to walk back in the room and change, when Eason pulled at her sleeve cuff, "What's

wrong with you two?"

He didn't want to see the two of them break up again.

Ella was stuck dumb. What was wrong with them? She didn't know, either. All she knew was that she

was angry and wanted to give him a silent treatment.

"Nothing serious. Just... He didn't tell me when he left this morning." The minute she said it, she felt

embarrassed and stupid.

Eason glanced at her in shock, "What? Come on Ella. Just go be with him."

Sensing the scornful look from her brother, Ella twitched her mouth in disapproval, "Eason, no need to

look at me like that."

"Cut the crap. And when are you going to tell him about Jane?" He could tell that Ella was still

struggling with the decision of whether to tell Samuel about Jane. But he would stay out of it and let

Ella solve it by herself.

He would support her on this matter.

Soon after Eason finished his words, Ella hurriedly closed the door and got back to changing her

clothes.

Seeing that, Eason grumbled distastefully, "But look! you are doing the same thing. Why were you

complaining about Samuel then?"

When an urgent case came up, Samuel would go to his company first to arrange all the documents that

were needed before he went to court.

Eason guessed that Samuel must have had a case in session today and that was the reason he was in

such a hurry that he left without telling Ella. But Ella got angry because she didn't understand.

Eason shook his head in disbelief, thinking that how much they were meant for each other.

When Samuel reached for the doorbell, the main door opened.

Ella, who he had been missing the whole day, was in front of him. He sighed in relief.

He put his hand on the back of her head, pulled her in and kissed her.

His hands moved down around her waist and pulled her tightly into his arms. Stepping forward, he

pushed her up against the door.

They were kissing passionately when they heard applause from up the stairs.

Ella was startled and pushed Samuel away.

"Sam, we have a vacant room upstairs tonight. But if you can't wait, you may use the one downstairs.

What do you think?" Eason, standing at the top of the stairs, looked down at them and teased.

Samuel turned to Ella and whispered, "Honey, what do you think?"

He was asking the same question, but only he himself knew what he really meant.

How Ella responded just fitted exactly with Samuel's wishes.

She pushed Samuel in haste to get away from the villa, "Eason, bye." She was so embarrassed, asking

herself how shameless Samuel could be. She understood clearly what the two men meant, and it was

inappropriate to stay with her husband in her brother's house.

After a brief goodbye, Samuel closed the door behind them. Eason walked back up the stairs,

chuckling all the way.

Ella opened the door of the Audi and got in. Just as she had put the key in the ignition, Samuel entered

the front passenger seat.

Ella turned to him, "Are you going to leave your car here?"

She looked at him, clearly still infuriated.

"Can you see my car?" Samuel asked with a playful tone in his voice.

He had asked Yang to leave in his car.

Ella rolled down the window and looked out, but didn't see his car.

She gave up asking, revving up the engine. "Don't forget to pay me when you arrive home."
