Three Year To Love (Emma Johnson and Ethan Carter)

3 Year Love Novel 2

Ethan Carter's gaze sharpened on Emma's face, observing her earnest and stubborn eyes. He nodded slowly, "As you wish, I'll arrange for the agreement to be redrawn."

Emma secretly breathed a sigh of relief. "Good."

She continued, "Before I leave, I want to see Grandpa Carter." "Uh-huh," Ethan agreed.

The two of them headed to The Manor together. As they passed the mall, Emma made several purchases, almost all of which were Grandpa Carter's and Ethan's favorites. She wanted to make them a nice dinner before she left. Upon arriving at The Manor, Grandpa Carter was delighted to see Emma and asked with concern, "How was your day?" This contrasted with Ethan's reserved attitude.

While Emma was busy in the kitchen, Grandpa Carter snorted, "What's wrong with my boy? It's been three years, and Emma still hasn't gotten pregnant. I'm waiting for my grandchildren. Is he going to make me wait forever?"

Hearing this, Ethan felt vaguely uneasy. When he had sex with Emma, he had never taken any precautions, but she hadn't gotten pregnant in three years. However, unbeknownst to him, Emma had been secretly taking birth control pills, not wanting a child to be a shackle on her. It wasn't until a few months ago, when she accidentally found the divorce papers in his drawer and realized their marriage was doomed, that she stopped taking the pills, hoping to keep a child for herself.

While concent rating on stir-frying, Emma suddenly heard laughter coming from the living room. She couldn't help but look out and saw a woman in a long beige dress chatting animatedly with Grandpa Carter.

Grandpa Carter was scolding Ethan, but the girl in front of him had come uninvited. Since the Brooks and Carter families had a friendship, Grandpa Carter wouldn't embarrass his juniors.

"Grandpa Carter, I asked my friend to bring you this tea. You must try it," Olivia said, handing Grandpa Carter a box of top-quality Da Hong Pao. It had taken a lot of effort to buy such a large box.

"You're a thoughtful little girl," Grandpa Carter smiled and waved his hand. The butler behind him understood and immediately stepped forward to receive the tea.

He looked at Olivia with a smile. On

the surface, he was amiable, but inwardly there was a bit of

shrewdness and detachment. Grandpa Carter had been in the

business world for many year

and

had honed his ability to see through people. Although the girl in front of him had a crush on Ethan, her heart might not be entirely pure.

A short while later, Emma finished the meal and brought it out with the maid. The people in the living room moved to the dining room. Ethan walked on the right side of Grandpa Carter and when Olivia wanted to walk to the left side of Grandpa Carter, Grandpa Carter spoke up, "Emma, don't go so far. Come and say hello to the guests."

He waved at Emma to move to his left, which Emma did.

Olivia was a bit embarrassed, but she couldn't walk directly to Ethan's side, so she moved back a bit.

"Emma's cooking is very good; it makes one's appetite grow!" Grandpa Carter praised her with a smile on his face, his words full of satisfaction and love.

The butler, who was also very good

at reading people, agreed, “Yes, young lady always remembers your and young master's tastes and is very attentive every time. Since young lady personally cooked today, you must eat a few more bowls."

Grandpa Carter heard this and smiled even more happily. Emma looked at his loving eyes and felt a warmth in the bottom of her heart.
