The Untouchable Ex-Wife

Chapter 2129

Chapter 2129

Leia crossed her arms, thinking that Liam and Renee had gotten crazy. They kept siding with a scumbag who cheated on Renee!

"Don't kissing and hugging mean he's cheated on Renee? Plus, they got tangled up with each other before. He insisted on divorcing Renee because of Briar back then. Isn't it normal for them to get back together? Maybe he can control his desires but can't stop himself from going back to his ex-girlfriend."

Yes, some men had a high morality. They wouldn't engage in ambiguous relationships with women so easily. Even then, they were always loyal. They couldn't forget about the women they once fell madly in love with. Stefan probably confirmed that he wanted Briar. Even if Briar's face was ruined, he could still be with her. 'There's no love between him and Briar. Of course they can't get back together with each other." Liam hit the nail on the head, pointing out the mistake in Leia's logic. "Remember. Briar was the woman of Stefan's brother. Stefan divorced Renee back then because he wanted to fulfill his promise to his late brother. He wanted to give Briar and her baby a complete family and a status in the Hunt family."

Although that excuse sounded weird, it meant that Stefan wasn't a scumbag who had no integrity.

Back then, they were unrelated. Of course they wouldn't get entangled with each other.

The more they thought about this, the more mysterious it seemed.

"So?" Leia frowned. She insisted on criticizing Stefan to make Renee forget about him. "Back then, he pretended to be with Briar for his brother's sake. But nobody knows his mind. Maybe he has long fallen in love with his sister -in-law. Maybe he likes a thrilling romance. He might find his marriage with Ren too dull, so he wanted to have some fun with Briar. As time went by, he fell in love with Briar and wanted to break up with Ren... I think this logic works. There's nothing to be suspicious about. Stop seeing Stefan as a good guy! You should stop having such a good impression about him."

Based on Leia's limited dating experience, there was another method to forget about someone other than letting time do its work or finding a new lover-and that was by not seeing the best in the person.

One needed to see what kind of demonic bastard they had fallen in love with. When they did, they would forget about that bastard and wouldn't be heartbroken.

When Leia was bewitched by Xavier, she kept looking at the ugly photos that she took of him and kept seeing him as an ugly man. She also imagined him spending time with other women or Shirley. As she did so, she found that she had stopped loving him.

"You can quickly forget about your failed romance with time and a new lover. You can also do so by stopping yourself to see the best of him. Trust me, it'll work!" Leia said casually, patting Renee's shoulders.

Leia felt that she could adapt to the situation better than Renee when it came to these things. She hoped that she could influence Renee, so Renee would suffer less bitterness in love.

"Did you forget about him?" Renee smiled. "When you were madly in love, you weren't very rational either. Of course, an outsider can see things better than the party involved. No one can help me to forget about Stefan except myself. Nothing else will work."

'Fine. I admitted it, you're right." Dispirited, Leia recalled how she tried to drown her woes because of Xavier. She didn't have it easier than Renee.

At the very least, Renee remained calm even if no one could confirm whether she had truly let go of Stefan or not. She was much stronger than Leia.

"It's not that I can't forget about him. I just don't want to be fooled." Renee's face darkened.

She looked at Liam and said, "I think the same way. I don't think he'd cheat on me so easily. Plus, he might not feel anything for Briar. Stefan and I overcame all obstacles-we should have been together, but he chose to push me away by being with Briar. There must be something fishy!"
