The Rejected Luna: Daddy, Where is Mommy?

133

Calvin thought about Ethlyn’s situation calmly. And that was when he realized that Ethlyn’s memory loss wasn’t that a big deal for him. It was like a new and fresh chance for him to impress Ethlyn in a good and perfect way this time.

Last time, she had made a wrong opinion about him from the beginning, not that he didn’t give her a chance to do so. But this time, things could be different. Maybe that was because Moon Goddess had created this situation so that he could make everything right this time.

‘Fuck! Why the hell I didn’t think this way?’ He thought, taking this situation in a positive way. He quickly mind-linked Reva and asked her to come to his office.

“Oh, no!!” Reva shook her head after her Alpha disconnected the mind link.

“What happened?” Zordan asked.

“Alpha called me into his office. I’m kind of scared of his anger and the fact that he doesn’t think for a second before raising his hand, even on the woman in anger, is something because of which I don’t want to face his bad side.” She muttered.

“You’re the beta female of the pack, Reva. You can’t avoid facing him.” Zordan pointed out. “Moreover, we already know what could be the reason why he would be calling you right now. So, go ahead and let us know what Calvin is thinking or planning his next move.”

“I just hope that he wouldn’t be planning to kill Nathan,” Reva said in tension before walking toward Calvin’s office. ‘Poor, Nathan! He doesn’t have any idea what is going on here, and if Alpha Calvin would plan anything against him, then he won’t be able to figure out the reason behind it.’ She mentally thought.

After thinking about all this, she knocked on Calvin’s office door.

“Come in,” She heard and walked inside his office. She bowed her head to greet him.

“Grab a seat,” Calvin said, pointing at the chair in front of him. Once Reva settled on the chair, Calvin spoke, “Alpha Nathan and Ethlyn know each other from their young age, isn’t it?”

“Yes, Alpha.” Reva nodded her head, thinking that his jealousy was at its peak.

“Now, it’s your job to make sure that I know most of the things about Ethlyn. More than anyone. More than Nathan, of course. And in case you’re going to say that you don’t know much about your very own sister, then I will make sure that from tomorrow onwards, you will have to attend a training for no less than three hours.” Calvin already warned before he could get a chance to hear ‘NO’ from Reva.

Reva’s face paled upon hearing this. Now, she didn’t have any other option but to say yes.

“Perfect. Let’s start with her favorite food, then.” Calvin started, to which Reva nodded her head. Reva couldn’t understand why Calvin was making a note of each, and every likes and dislikes, favorite and not favorite things of Ethlyn because, to her, it was so childish. He started from Ethlyn’s favorite color, her favorite movie, her favorite season, her favorite visiting place, mountains or beaches, to many more very little tiny things.

After an hour, Reva was finally done with providing all the information that Calvin needed; Calvin asked her to leave.

“Alpha, Ethlyn was asking about Nathan. Can you ask him to…”

“Not happening,” Calvin said, cutting her in between. “If Ethlyn will ask about that coward who doesn’t have a backbone, then ask her to talk to me directly. Or, you can deliver my message to her that she is here for treatment, and only family members are allowed as long as she is here in my pack.” Calvin replied rudely.

‘And there goes his mood.’ Reva thought.

“Okay.” She agreed. “By the Alpha, I have to talk about the woman in the sketch. About which you were searching before. The same Isabella West.”

“What is it?”

“I don’t know much, but I have seen her once with Nathan,” Reva told him.

“Hmm. I know about that. It’s just that I’m currently busy with Ethlyn’s situation, so I didn’t get time to look at the other things. But thanks anyways.” Calvin said. Once she left, Calvin brushed that topic from his mind for a while. But he had to close the chapter of Elena from Ethlyn’s life once and for all before she would start planning something against Ethlyn again.

At that moment, he had more important work that he had to do today.

“You want me to lie to Ethlyn that her situation is serious and make her stay here in the pack,” Liara asked again to reconfirm what she had heard. Calvin smiled and nodded his head.

“Yes!! I don’t think that’s a tough job for you. You can do that, right?” Calvin asked her with a lot of hope. “I won’t lie, Lee, but I have messed up everything a big time. So, I’m thinking of starting everything fresh.”

“But why?” Liara questioned.

“What do you mean by that?” Calvin asked and frowned.

“My question is simple, Calvin. Why are you doing this or planning to do all this? Is it because you’re feeling guilty for hurting Ethlyn by judging her, or you’re grateful to her for saving your life, or you want a mother for Roselet who can help you in another way as well? You better know what I mean!!” She asked again, on which Calvin was blank. All he knew was that he wanted her, no matter what it cost; of course, it only included materialistic stuff.

He recalled each and every moment that he had spent with Ethlyn. He always felt happy and his true self around her by teasing her or irritating her. He was positive that Ethlyn enjoyed his behavior too.

That was it.

So, it was sure that he was definitely not in love with her.

But…

“I feel I’m falling for her,” Calvin replied, thinking about the feelings that he had for her. “I… I don’t know when and how this happened, but I obviously know what I feel for her. I… I’ve been jealous, frustrated, annoyed, and irritated from the moment that Nathan Python entered the picture. I’m scared that to lose her. Even though Rose doesn’t want her real parents to be together but… but I want that to happen. I won’t lie, but I don’t want Ethlyn just because she is Roselet’s mother. I want her because I want her. So, will you please help me?”

“Umm.. mm, Well, how can I say NO?” Liara said, shrugging her shoulder. Calvin couldn’t control his happiness and hugged her.

“I’m not a hugger,” Liara complained.

Calvin looked down at her before speaking, “Really? Don’t tell me that you haven’t hugged your mate even once.” he mocked.

“Actually, it took us three years to hug each other,” Liara said, breaking the hug.

“Three fucking years? Damn, it’s slower than a sloth. At the same time, I can give you three nieces or nephews in three years if I will count one pup each year and six in case of twins.”

Liara shook her head in disbelief and hit him lightly.
