Chapter 101 Don’t You Want Coffee?
“Well, she, let me tell you how classic she is.” Aurelia threw the trash into the trash can, and she felt funny when she thought about what happened yesterday. “She asked her father for 10, 000 dollars to open a card, but her father transferred her 100, 000 dollars and added an extra zero. She was afraid that her father would find out and give it to her, so she immediately blacklisted her father after receiving the money. I guess she went out to have fun with the 100, 000 dollars last night.”
Liana laughed as she put on her clothes, “I think Uncle Mike will come to school today.”
“I guess so. Last time, Uncle Mike was saying that Cathy’s living expenses are seriously over budget.”
Liana seemed to have thought of something, and suddenly looked straight at Aurelia, “Weren’t you in a bad mood last night? Why are you so happy now? Did you run into your Mr. Finnegan when you got home?”
The difference is really huge. When Aurelia went to the bar with Briar to sing last night, she was still unhappy. Now she is smiling and all she needs to do is hum a little song.
If she said she was so happy because of Cathy’s matter, she wouldn’t believe it!
“Oh! Yes!” Aurelia did not hide it. There were only two of them in the dormitory. The other three were from other departments and had already gone to class.
“What happened? Did you apologize or did Mr. Finnegan apologize?” Liana knew a little about their quarrel, so she was even more curious.
Aurelia snorted arrogantly, “Of course it’s him!”
Liana smiled secretly, “Aurelia, Mr. Finnegan can bow his head and apologize to someone as bad-tempered as you. It seems that he really loves you!”
“Huh, he made me unhappy.” It was all because of that Laura.
I feel tired.
“Come on, Playing the Victim, I’m going to go wash up first and we’ll talk about it later when we get to the classroom.”
“Okay, go ahead.”
At lunch in the restaurant, Aurelia looked thoughtfully at the couple at the next table, who were showing off their affection. She put down her chopsticks, took out her phone and sent a text message to Callum, “Uncle Finnegan, I want some coffee.”
“Okay.” The reply was pretty quick, but after only one word, there was no more response.
Aurelia looked at the word “good” in a daze. What happened next?
Twenty minutes later, she came out of the restaurant and received a text message on her phone, “Go to Elliot’s office now.”
Aurelia asked confusedly, “What?”
“You’ll know when you get there.”
…
Aurelia put her phone in her pocket, “Liana, I have something to do, go find your top student first!”
After saying that, he trotted away.
Liana ate the sausage speechlessly. Her academic master was busy reviewing for exams recently and had no time to pay attention to her, a poor student, okay?
Arriving at Elliot’s office, Aurelia knocked on the door and heard a familiar male voice from inside, “Come in.”
This voice made Aurelia’s blood boil and her heart beat faster. He… is here?
When she opened the office door, she didn’t see Elliot, but instead saw a man who made her heart beat faster.
“Uncle Finnegan, why are you here?”
The man stood up from his seat, picked up the paper bag next to him and handed it to her, “Don’t you want some coffee?”
Aurelia held the warm coffee, her eyes red with emotion. In such a cold day, if he told her to drink it whenever she wanted, she would go buy it herself. Why did he have to buy it and deliver it to her personally?
On the way here, she had thought about whether he would ask someone to buy coffee and bring it to her when he asked her to come here… but she didn’t expect him to bring it to her personally. “Uncle Finnegan, are you cold? You’ve come all the way here in person.”
Callum rubbed her head, “It’s not cold. Assistant Gallagher drove here. Drink it while it’s hot.”
She carefully took the coffee out of her handbag, took a sip of the hot coffee, and then shouted in surprise, “Uncle, how do you know I like this?”
This is the coffee she drinks often and she never gets tired of it.
Seeing her surprise, he was in a good mood and did not explain, “As long as you like it.”
“Then you have a sip too.” She put the coffee to the man’s lips and looked at him expectantly.
Suddenly she remembered that the man in front of her was a germaphobe and would definitely not share a straw with her, so she took the coffee back and said, “Forget it, next time, I’ll buy two cups to drink together.”
He was about to lower his head to drink his coffee when she took it away. “Why?”
She said nonchalantly, “It’s just a straw.”
Then the man held her hand holding the coffee, and the two looked into each other’s eyes. Under the woman’s puzzled look, Callum bit the straw she had used and took a sip of coffee.
After drinking it, he gave a serious review, “Except for being a little sweet, everything else is fine.”
Aurelia looked at him and couldn’t help asking, “Do you mind?” She had seen his cleanliness obsession countless times, especially when he was at home, his room and bathroom were super clean, she didn’t dare to go in, for fear of polluting that holy place…
The man raised an eyebrow, “You’re my Sweetie, why should I mind?”
His answer made her grin foolishly, “Then drink another sip.”
As if to prove that he really didn’t mind, Callum not only took a sip of coffee, but also hugged the girl in his arms and kissed her deeply.
The aroma of coffee spread in both of their mouths, and Aurelia’s chest was filled with sweetness. It was nice when she and Callum didn’t quarrel or get angry.
It was snowing heavily outside, but the office was warm. The man sat on the sofa, holding the woman in his arms, watching her drink coffee sip by sip.
Aurelia rolled her eyes, “Callum let me tell you a story!”
“Um.”
If he guessed correctly, this little woman must be up to something bad again.
“Hehe, listen carefully. Once upon a time there was a fool who liked to say no. No matter what others asked him, he would say no. Oh, by the way, have you heard this joke?” The girl raised her head and looked at him seriously.
The man curled his lips and said, “You told me this story before.”
“No, I’ve never before…”
The man chuckled, and Aurelia realized that she had been tricked.
Looking at the smiling man, she was dissatisfied and hit and twisted him, “Ahhh, why are you so smart! You are so annoying, why did you call me a fool! ”
The man tightened his arms around her waist and smelled the fragrance of her hair. “Are you sure you’re not scolding yourself?”
Aurelia snorted, knowing she was in the wrong and not dwelling on the issue.
She didn’t believe that she couldn’t trick Callum, so she racked her brains to think about the jokes she had seen before. After a while, she asked him again, “Let me ask you again, if there was a beautiful girl with a good figure sitting on your lap, would you be moved?”
This time he answered quickly, “No.” She was the only person who could make his heart beat.
