Chapter 35 I will be your date
“It is alright ma’am, you would be fine.” The maid consoled a groaning Tihana on the bed.
She was lying down surrounded by maids.
The menstrual pain started hitting on her with full force just few minutes she got home and here she was.
It was as if Aiden knew this would happen that he asked her to go home.
Three maids were with her in the room. One was rubbing her foot, the second one rubbed her hands and the other rubbed her head.
The door opened and Aiden came in. He was with a small nylon.
“What is happening here?” He asked with his left hand in his pocket.
“Welcome back sir.” The maids all got up from the bed and bowed.
“I asked a question.” Aiden said as he stepped closer.
“She is ummm, feeling…….” One of the maids tried saying but didn’t know how to explain it. He was a man for heaven’s sake!
“Step aside.” Aiden sat beside Tihana on the bed.
Tihana was turning uncomfortably to her both sides as she winced in pain.
“It hurts.” She cried. Her face was already wet with tears.
Aiden understood what was happening, the reason he asked her to go home because he didn’t want this to happen in the office.
He watched silently as she winced in pains and finally, her head landed on his thighs.
“Have you tried any remedy yet?” Aiden asked, facing the maids back.
“Yes, we were actually rubbing her foots and hands before you came in.”
“Get a glass of water.” Aiden ordered and one of them went to get it.
Aiden brought out the drug in the nylon he brought in earlier. He decided to buy it on his way home as he had a feeling this might happen.
He remembered when his mother used to tell him about these things. According to his mom then, he needed it when he gets married.
The maid came back with the water and a glass cup.
“Pour the water into it.” The maid poured the water into the glass cup and handed it over to her boss.
He managed to give the drugs to Tihana and handed back everything to the maid.
“Take care of her.” Aiden made to stand but wasn’t able to because Tihana was holding him back.
He sighed as he let her rest her head.
“I think we should use a ice on her, it might help.” A maid suggested.
“Then go and get it.” Aiden glared and she rushed out immediately.
She came back with the ice and put it on the side of Tihana’s tommy but due to how she was still groaning, Aiden collected it and did it himself.
He also rubbed her head as he put the ice on her tummy and just like a magic, Tihana slowly fell asleep.

“What are you doing here?” Diana asked with a strict face.
“Why don’t you listen to what I have to say?” Wayne stated calmly. He couldn’t get his head wrapped to why she was very mad at him.
“What is it? Start spilling, I don’t have much time here, as you can see, it is already late and I have to sleep early, to wake up early, so I can go to work tomorrow.” Diana gave flimpsy excuses.
She had gotten home and was about to park her car properly when Wayne came to her, saying he wants to talk something urgent with her.
“Why exactly are you mad at me? What did I ever do wrong?” It was obvious he was pained.
“If I did something wrong, why don’t you tell me what my mistakes are?”
Diana sighed, she now feels guilty.
“You didn’t do anything wrong.” She said lowly.
“Then why have you been avoiding me?”
“It’s just about a promise I made to myself.”
“Which is?” Wayne wanted her to continue.
“I vowed never to have something to do with anything that concerns Aiden Turner. So, when I found out he was your boss, I became mad at you for no good reason and I’m truly sorry.”
Wayne faced the gate in front of him and rested on his car as he stared into thin air.
“You don’t have to apologise, it is not your fault. I mean, this isn’t the first time.” Wayne said in a sad smile.
“What do you mean by that?” Diana asked with raised brows.
“I was once in a relationship but once she found out who I worked for, she started avoiding me like you did. I asked her about it and she told me to my face that she doesn’t want to have anything to do with Aiden Turner.” Wayne paused for a moment.
“I asked her why? Her reply was that I would also be like my boss who doesn’t care about women’s feelings. I tried to convince her that I was different but all proved abortive and that was how I lost her.” Wayne finished his narration and closed his eyes.
The memories were back but he was trying not to let it cloud his emotions.
Diana felt sympathy for him and she found herself soothing his back.
“It’s alright, it’s a thing of the past now and I have long forgotten it.” Wayne said after opening his eyes.
“I made you remember it today and I’m really sorry.”
“You don’t have to.”
“But why are you still working for him, if he has made you loose you something important?” Diana asked the question on her mind. She didn’t understand it.
“Maybe because he is like the brother I never had and again, I realized that you can’t actually force a person to stay. She left because she wasn’t the right person for me.”
“Wow!” Diana said surprised.
“I guess I was wrong.” She said again. Wayne turned to her.
“About what?”
“About you, you are totally different from Aiden Turner.” Wayne let out a light smile.
“Don’t you think we should change the topic now? It’s getting too boring.” Wayne laughed a little.
“I don’t know, you make that decision.” Diana replied and rested her back on the car.
“Yes.” Wayne said remembering something.
“Least I forget, there is this business party coming up this weekend and I would love it if you’d be my date.” Wayne said as nice as he could. He didn’t want to offend her again.
Diana smiled and pretended to think for a while.
“Yes, I would be your date.”
