Chapter 2487 Path Forward
Chapter 2487 Path Forward
It was a truly shocking insight.
Unfortunately, he had no idea whether it was actually true or not. The reason he arrived at this possibility was because of what he had done in order to comfort himself while he had been in the endless nightmare inside his mind.
He had constructed a predictive large language model of his mother, one that acted, spoke, and talked identically to the way she had.
It had even expressed horror at what was truly a taboo decision to pseudo resurrect a version of her in order to cope with the emotional distress he had been experiencing.
And yet, as chilling as his own decisions were, they led him to gaining the insight that if he had enough data, he would be able to recreate her with absolute identical perfection. He would be able to create a predictive large language behavioral model that was truly her for all intents and purposes.
It was horrifying and, yet, it was also enlightening.
It also begged the question—if he had then given her the predictive model and allowed her to fully master it, would she effectively have gained Enlightenment of Self?
Of course, since she hadn't been a Martial Artist, she wouldn't have gained power. But what if she had been a Martial Artist?
More generally, what if he was somehow able to do this with a Martial Master?
What if he was able to do this with himself?
He didn't know what would happen.
However, the more he thought about it, the more he felt like he was on to something truly earth-shattering.
If Enlightenment of Self was truly a predictive large language behavioral model on the sum totality of one's entire being, then he might have cracked the secret to triggering the breakthrough to the Sage Realm!
And yet, even while he grew more excited at his potentially revolutionary discovery, his cold rationality washed over him.
"Such a predictive model would be terabytes, if not petabytes, of data." He heaved a sigh. "It would be much more difficult to create than even the Tree of Life."
The process of applying the pattern recognition model to the inheritance of the Elder Tree to gain the enlightenment of the Tree of Life had almost turned him into a vegetable. And that was despite all the data being handed to him on a silver platter.
In this case, he would need to collect every ounce of the ocean of data that would dwarf even the inheritance of the Elder Tree.
Thus, it would be an extraordinarily difficult process.
Thus, even if he was right, he would not be able to run around breaking every Master under the Sun to the Sage Realm.
He truly felt like he was onto something.
The fact that the Tree of Life was as much of an enlightenment as it was a conscious system of thought only further served as more evidence that his thinking was in the right direction. It was an enlightenment that had changed the way that he looked at the entire world and all of life. It had changed what he saw at its very root.
It proved that predictive models and systems of thought could expand one's consciousness, understanding, and awareness in a way that could only be described as enlightenment.
Thus, it lent credence to the hypothesis that the Enlightenment of Self was a predictive large language behavioral model based on the sum totality of one's entirety being.
If that was the case, he had gained an extra tool that could potentially hasten his journey to the Sage Realm in a shocking way. A journey that was supposed to be almost impossible for him, could potentially be accelerated, allowing him to reach the Sage Realm despite the fact that he was still very, very far away from gaining Enlightenment of Self.
"I need to start creating a predictive model on the sum totality of my entire being."
Even if he was not able to create an entire predictive model, it could be compensated by the regular path to enlightenment.
Normally, the enlightenment came from a subconscious understanding of one's self. He could accelerate it by doing not just the regular subconscious understanding but also a conscious path to the Sage Realm by collecting data on himself in all dimensions and creating a predictive model on himself and then truly embedding that predictive model in his mind to the point that his entire mind is intimately familiar with every inch of it. "With how much brain power this task will take, I can't do it for anyone else," Rui murmured. Creating a predictive large language behavioral model on the sum totality of one's entire being was so taxing that he could not afford to run around doing mass breakthroughs for all Masters.
Hell, with how taxing it was going to be, he could barely do it for himself.
But if his hypothesis and conjecture into what the Enlightenment of Self actually were correct, then he would be able to cut down centuries of time that he would ordinarily need to understand himself.
"It's not going to be easy, but the sooner I start, the quicker I can get to the Sage Realm."
However, he couldn't neglect his own progression as a Martial Artist either and spend all his time trying to reach the Sage Realm.
Project Water was more important
"Besides…" Rui's eyes narrowed. "I can't afford to stagnate. I need to take the next step into adding a new dimension to my adaptive evolution."
His previous battle had given him much motivation to do so. It had been his first clean defeat in a long, long time and it fueled him to grow stronger unlike any victory could. It had also given him a lot of inspiration as to what he could improve as a Martial Artist.
"My Martial Art is too inflexible and stiff."
The first time he had truly felt was when he had seen Ieyasu adaptively evolve his techniques better because the latter had mastered countless techniques and thus could pick and choose among a huge variety.
Rui didn't have time to master so many different techniques. He also couldn't copy them like Ieyasu could.
Fortunately, he had already discovered the path forward in his battle with Ieyasu. Being pushed to his very limit, Rui discovered new ways to adaptively evolve unlike anything before.
"I can just spontaneously create new techniques in the middle of the battle that are perfectly antithetical to my opponent!" A wide grin of excitement appeared on his face.
