Chapter 35 - A New Encounter
Chapter 35 - A New Encounter
Alicia murmured, pressing her back against Arthur's as they faced the five people surrounding them,
"You just keep quiet and let me take care of these five." She could feel his strength from behind; he
seemed formidable, not weak, and she thought to herself, "Do I really need to help him?"
"Hi, Miss," Arthur said softly, addressing Alicia. "I really don't want to drag you into my problems and I
would be grateful if you wouldn't offer to help me - it would only add to your own difficulties."
"Do you think I'm weak?" Alicia asked, her expression determined and her fists clenched, as if she
were ready to strike if the people in front of her attempted anything.
"Alright," Deacon interjected. "I don't think we need to wait any longer. Let's do it. Beat them both up,"
he said decisively.
However, he paused to take a closer look at Alicia, who appeared to have taken good care of herself;
her countenance was immaculate and her skin was smooth and radiant. He was confident that she
could endure a few rounds, even if five people tried to rape her simultaneously.
"But, let's not hurt her too much. We don't want our meal to be spoiled, do we?"
Alicia felt her ears becoming hot as her emotions rose sharply in response to Deacon's words. "Have
you got it into your head that women are only here to satisfy your desires?," she spat angrily. "I will
break your manhood until you can no longer even dream of touching women in your life!"
"Kiaaa!" Alicia screeched, lunging forward in a single, graceful motion. Her right leg shot up, delivering
three consecutive kicks that landed squarely on the chests of the three men standing before her.
"Shoot!" one of the men exclaimed in disbelief, astonished at how skillfully Alicia performed her kicks.
The man in front of Alicia attempted to protect himself with his hands, yet he felt the girl's kick had
immense strength. He tried to collide with Alicia. However, the girl swiftly evaded and counterattacked
with a knee kick.
"Kiaaa! Kiaaa! Kiaaa!"
Alicia fiercely and nimbly attacked the man in front of her, despite her small size compared to their tall
build. She made it seem as if the three men had been overwhelmed by her onslaught.
"Woah!" Arthur exclaimed in amazement, watching as Alicia flawlessly executed her kick. Taking her
cue, he attempted to replicate her technique when two men abruptly sprinted towards him.
"Kill him!" they shouted.
Arthur was quick on his feet, and with a swift kick, he managed to deliver a powerful strike to the two
men's cheeks, sending them both crashing to the ground in an unconscious pile.
Arthur acted without hesitation, standing up calmly yet looking intimidating to the five people who had
witnessed the scene.
"What the hell?! How is this guy so strong?" one of them said, shock evident in their voice.
"We definitely picked the wrong people!" another one added.
"What!" Alicia exclaimed in awe, her eyes widening in amazement at the sheer power of Arthur's kick.
"What kind of kick was that? It was so impressive!" she asked incredulously.
Alicia had the feeling that she'd seen someone use a move like that before, either as part of a martial
art technique or not. But the raw power of it was undeniable, rendering his opponent helpless in an
instant.
"Shit!" Deacon exclaimed as he realized that the two people in front of him were not opponents he
could handle. He then ran to try and rouse his two friends, who had fainted, and the five of them made
a desperate attempt to flee from Arthur's presence. "Next time I see you, I'll kill you, asshole!" he
warned.
"Hey, you idiots!" Alicia yelled angrily. "If you ever come near me again, I'll break your nose!" She then
kicked a can on the ground in their direction, which struck Deacon on the head.
"Damn it!" Deacon cursed, then quickly ran off.
Alicia then dusted off her sleeves and then rearranged the lock of hair that had fallen over her
forehead, a light sheen of sweat glistening on her skin. She raised her face with a smile toward Arthur
and said, "Hello."
"Man, this is the first time I've ever seen a wealthy person with such fighting prowess. Are you actually
wealthy, or are you just a stuntman? You certainly have impressive raw strength, but your fighting
technique is lacking; it seems you don't understand the fundamentals of either fighting or martial arts, is
that correct?" she asked.
Arthur smiled back at Alicia's greeting. "Thanks for the help, you're really cool. I didn't expect you to be
that good at fighting; maybe I can learn a lot from you. No, I'm just someone who likes to try different
things, that's why I haven't had any formal training in martial arts."
Alicia gazed at Arthur, her expression a mix of confusion and curiosity. She then bowed her head and
let out a small laugh. "Why are you being so kind to me? Have the wealthy lost their minds lately?" she
queried.
She extended her hand and introduced herself, "My name is Alicia Morel. If you don't mind, I'd be
delighted to make your acquaintance despite the fact that I am not particularly well-off."
Arthur accepted Alicia's handshake and, with a smile, said, "My name is Arthur Gardner. You can call
me Arthur."
He felt that even though she looked like a normal girl on the outside, with her plain clothing, there was
a special charm around her. The girl seemed composed, but her beauty could not be concealed. Her
hands felt soft and smooth, but there was the strength behind them.
Alicia retracted her hand abruptly, feeling a strange unease. It was her first experience of a man of
such high rank and remarkable combat prowess treating her so kindly. "Do you reside in this area?"
she inquired, her voice slightly uncertain.
"Yes, I live in this area," Arthur replied quietly. Wanting to leave the scene, he decided he should thank
the young girl for her courageous actions. Amazed by her bravery, he wondered to himself, "Could she
be under twenty years old?"
Meanwhile, Alicia was very curious about Arthur; she felt that she remembered his voice and the way
he moved. Was it too much to wish that the man before her was Mr. Glitzy, the one she was really
trying to identify?
"Why don't you show your appreciation by buying me a cup of coffee?" Alicia asked confidently, her lips
curved into a smile as she gave a light giggle.
"A coffee?" Arthur asked quietly, then nodded in agreement. "Sure, I think it's always nice to make new
friends." He began walking slowly. "Follow me, I've been wanting to try a new coffee place for a while
now."
"Huh?" Alicia questioned Arthur curiously. "How come you never tried that coffee place? Aren't you a
wealthy person? That should be easy for you, right? Or are you not actually wealthy? Then those
people must have been mistaken to try to rob you," she said, jogging to keep up with Arthur's long
strides.
