Chapter 10: Moving into the Davi Family
“Excuse me, has President Davi had his breakfast?” Octavia Gills asked in a slightly embarrassed whisper to the driver, who was as serious as a Tredan.
“Ms. Octavia, it’s the weekend and President Davi is usually sleeps in a little later than usual if there aren’t any engagements.”
“Oh.” Octavia Gills pleaded with a smile at Tredan’s driver. “Let’s go to the supermarket before we go there.”
“Okay.”
An hour later, the black Mercedes that picked up Octavia Gills pulled slowly into the old Group Davi house and came to a steady stop. The discreet driver helped Octavia Gills push her luggage with the groceries Octavia Gills had just bought, and led her inside.
The luxurious villa in front of her was the same, unchanged. The cobbled path led to the garden, which had a huge private pool with crystal clear water. Beyond the pool, you will see huge glass doors catching the sunlight making it glisten like gold.
“Ms. Octavia, if you don’t need anything else, I will go out first. President Davi said that you should make yourself at home when you come over!” Octavia Gills put away her luggage neatly, after which she tried to relax a bit.
Octavia Gills familiarly made her way to the kitchen with the fresh groceries she has just bought. Luckily, the kitchen was stocked with all the spices and all the cooking utensils were complete. Grabbing her pink apron and putting it on, she planned on making a warm breakfast for Tredan.
Tredan, who had a rare holiday when he could sleep in and not need to socialize, was woken up by the banging sounds coming from the kitchen. What was wrong with this woman? Was she going to demolish the house as soon as she arrived?
Looking annoyed and sleepy-eyed, with a few stray hairs on his forehead, Tredan went up the stairs to the kitchen in his robe and saw the busy back of the culprit who had woken him up. Then he smelt something so familiar??it was the first dish Lilian Drye had cooked for him 20 years ago – beef noodle soup! He had asked Lilian to cook it for him again many times, but she had always refused with the excuse that she hadn’t cooked it for a long time, and didn’t know how to make it anymore. His anger subsided quickly, and he wanted to try it… would it taste the way he had always wanted it to taste?
“You’re awake! Just in time. I made you breakfast, try it!” Turning to see Tredan, she looked so happy and relieved. She placed the beef noodle soup on the white wooden table and gave Tredan a seat. “Have you rinsed your mouth yet?” Tredan shook his head like a brother being supervised by a caring sister.
“Then hurry up and wash up in the downstairs bathroom so you don’t have to run up and down, the ones down there are your toothpaste, toothbrush and towel anyway.” Octavia Gills looked like someone who had lived here before and knew her way around, Tredan wondered, wasn’t this the first time she had been here? How did she know that the bathroom downstairs had everything he needed?
“How do you know that?” Tredan held Octavia Gills’ eyes, mindful of any hint of a lie.
“You’ve been…” Realizing she had said the something wrong, Octavia Gills hurriedly changed her tone, “Well… what I meant was I saw your toothbrush and towel there. And since you’re the only one living in the cottage, who else could it belong to!”
“Is that so?”
“Yes, now go and brush your teeth, the pasta won’t be good if it gets mushy later!” Octavia Gills watched a half-hearted Tredan leave to wash up before finally breathing a sigh of relief??she was scared to death! She would have to be careful not to spill the beans on that one, after all, her mother had signed an agreement with the Drye Family!
After washing up, Tredan looked at the bowl with small flowers carved out of carrots on top. He looked suspiciously at Octavia Gills, who said nothing. Getting the chopsticks, he picked a few up to taste them. How did she know how to make this noodle dish? Not only did it look the same, but it also tasted the same.
“Who taught you how to make this noodle dish? It tastes exactly like the one Lilian made when we were kids!”
Octavia Gills quickly concocted a story in her head to cover up the lie and explained half-truths to Tredan. “President Davi, you don’t know, but my mother was the cook’s aunt at Ms. Lilian’s house. My father died early, and my family was poor and didn’t even have a place to live, so we lived with the Drye family. Ms. Lilian loved this noodle dish as a child and once asked my mother to teach her how to make it.
It seemed reasonable to say that, though Tredan already focused his attention on the bowl of noodles in front of him. Watching Tredan enjoy eating the noodle soup she had made for him, Octavia Gills smiled contentedly, a soft smile that Tredan caught just in time, which prompted Tredan’s hot eyes look at her with raw desire.
Tredan lifted his hands and traced her brows with his fingers, running across her flushed cheeks, as vivid images of last night flashed through his mind. With a wicked smile, he whispered softly into Octavia Gills’ ear, “You’ve worked hard to prepare such a delicious noodle soup for me, and in return I should love you!”
“… President Davi, I…”
“Hush, don’t talk, Let’s enjoy the moment.” Tredan’s magical voice took hold of her soul and made her dance under his guidance like a good maid.
Tredan’s hand slid over her small chin to her charming collarbone and then grasped her fullness through her shirt. He bent his head and kissed Octavia Gills’ pouty mouth, prying her lips apart with his tongue and repeatedly nibbling and sucking it. The morning light poured in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, reflecting the whiteness of her skin and making Octavia Gills look completely adorable under Tredan’s caress. His lips slid down her neck and he gently nibbled at her nape.
“President Davi… it’s daytime, the glass windows…” Octavia Gills squirmed sensitively, an unfamiliar sensation making her body unconsciously hot! An inexplicable swelling began to spread through her lower abdomen, seemingly a bit painful but evoked an unconscious pleasure and excitement. She could no longer tell the difference, and was too weak to stop his rampage.
“It’s okay, there’s no one here but you and me.” His hot, wet lips pressed against her earlobe flirtatiously, leaving Octavia Gills stunned. Her eyes were dazed, and what was left of her sanity was wiped away by his passionate aggression.
Their bodies were so close; so close that their breaths mingled, so close that there was hardly any distance between them. He held her soft body firmly in his, and she kept snuggling into his arms, desiring so much to melt into his kiss. Unable to resist the urge to have her, Tredan picked her up and carried her across the room to the bedroom. Her sleeveless dress gently slid down her shoulders as he unzipped her from behind. He took out her tiara, and her dark hair tumbled down her back, making her look as sexy as a hibiscus flower.
