The Billionaire’s Maid Bride

Chapter 56

Chapter 56

Lucian crushed the cigarette in his hand and abruptly grabbed the woman’s slender neck, his voice full of anger, “Allison, I admit you saved me; you took a knife for me, so I should be grateful, and I do have some feelings for you, but you absolutely should not focus on my mother”

1…” Allison frowned, “I really didn’t…”

Just then, Lucian’s phone rang

Allison saw his phone on the shelf, and the incoming call displayed “Penelope“.

She struggled to breathe, ‘Mr. Lindberg… your phone’s ringing…

Lucian hit the answer button, but his eyes remained firmly on Allison.

Penelope’s gentle and cheerful voice came over the phone, “Lucian, I’m shopping and saw a tie that would suit you. I sent a photo to your WhatsApp. Do you like it?”

Lucian didn’t open WhatsApp and just said, “Your decision is okay.”

Then he hung up the phone.

Allison caught her breath, only to hear his icy voice, “Allison, I don’t care what you did, but if you ever target my mother again, I’ll make sure you vanish from Northfield.”

Allison smirked, her eyes tearing up, “Don’t worry, Mr. Lindberg, there won’t be a next time.”

She knew that he wouldn’t believe her even if she explained it was a coincidence.

Seeing her admit, Lucian’s anger intensified, and he shouted, “Get out!”

The car door unlocked, and Allison hurriedly escaped.

Lucian slammed a fist onto the steering wheel, upset at Allison’s tactics and even more upset at his own feelings for her….

He was even more upset with himself for actually developing feelings for such a woman!!

The next day, Grace had surgery scheduled

Allison was blindfolded, and her hands were bound. She was led onto a car, traveled a distance, stopped, and was helped to walk upstairs and out of an elevator. Then, the blindfold was removed.

There were four bodyguards guarding the operation room in front of her.

And Grace was already pushed inside.

Allison sat uneasily on the waiting chair outside the room, her eyes constantly on the operating room.

Mom will be okay….

The operation has to succeed.

From 9 am, to 4 p.m., seven hours in total.

The operation room door opened, and Grace was pushed out.

Allison rushed over; she hadn’t eaten all day and felt dizzy when she stood up, “Doctor, is my mother okay…”

The lead surgeon nodded, “The kidney transplant was a success, but she needs to rest and get through the rejection period.”

“It was a success… Allison breathed out a sigh of relief.

Thank you, doctors.”

Allison felt at ease as she watched Grace being wheeled into the ICU.

The family wasn’t allowed in.

So Allison could only stand at the ward door, watching her mother lying weak and pale on the bed through the transparent glass, with tubes all over her body connected to a breathing machine.

Tears filled her eyes.

Leah’s call came soon after, “I didn’t lie to you, did I? Allison, I’ve let you see your mother today, I hope you can do what you said.”

Allison bit her lip silently

What do yourwant me to do?”
