Chapter 1: The Alpha’s lost mate
Xavier is the son of the great silver moon park. They’ve grown so strong within the years. Other packs of the lycans feared them greatly.
Xavier was the Alpha. Fearless and brutal. Xavier led the pack his way.
They had clubs that were run by groups of Alpha’s, each from their territory. From Xavier territory, there were no other Alpha. They either serve him or leave him.
Xavier became a top-notch quickly. Descending so high within a matter of time.
Those years, some weak lycans had to struggle under Xavier. Those who couldn’t, went far deep in the forest.
The Brooks were part of the family that ran away years back because they refused to submit to Xavier.
Xavier let them be but he knew they would start a riot soon. Xavier let them be for he had other things to attend to.
But not anymore, he eventually decided to chase them out and kill every werewolf that bears the Brooks as their last name.
“Here!” Wesley said and pushed Brook forward.
Xavier had found their hideout. He had killed all his family members. All that was left were Brook himself, his wife, and his daughter. He didn’t know Brooks had expanded so much that he made himself the Alpha.
Xavier walked closer, there were deep lines of injustice on his face or so they thought. He wasn’t a straightforward person but he wasn’t the type that would kill nonchalantly.
Something had to be amiss.
His wife and daughter were also brought and forced to kneel before Xavier.
Xavier felt the hotness rise in him again, his muscles contracting as he looked down at Brook, “Tell me where she is and I will spare your life,” his voice was scary and alarming.
Brook looked up at him, “I know not where your mate is. I’ve not seen her and I’m telling the truth.”
Xavier growled at him angrily. He doesn’t want to keep hearing the lies. He wouldn’t take it lightly if Brook wouldn’t provide him with his mate.
Bonnie looked up at the two men from where she was forced to stay. She had never seen Xavier before because her family ran away years before she was born. She couldn’t quite place what they were talking about.
What does he mean by his mate?
“Fine then!” Xavier’s voice rang dangerously and Bonnie shook with tremors as she feared what would happen next.
But instead of killing him, he merely turned over, “Kill his daughter.”
Bonnie’s eyes narrowed and her heart quickened at the word. She at first doubted what he had said. Perhaps her ears were playing tricks on her.
But the moment the men walked towards her, Bonnie couldn’t bear the hard lump that had suddenly formed in her throat. She closed her eyes against the tears that stung her cheek.
She doesn’t know why her father had refused to accept Xavier’s regency. If he had, he wouldn’t be framed and she wouldn’t have to die like this.
Brook wasn’t really the Alpha, he just headed the werewolves near his territory because of his intelligence. Xavier as she heard was everything. Powerful and deadly.
And Bonnie was just an Omega. She was soft and powerless. There was no way she could stand Xavier if she wanted to. And there was no point running, Xavier would get her wherever she went.
But then, she wondered what he was talking about.
One of the lycans moves near, morphing quickly into the beast-like form. His claws were coming close to her.
Bonnie sighed and arched her neck up, awaiting death. The tears wouldn’t stop flowing and they stunk her everywhere.
For a moment, she seemed to have zoomed out of the world. She felt no pain as she expected and she wondered if she was already dead.
Opening her eyes slightly, she looked up at a man staring down at her with eyes gone shocked and dark.
Bonnie wondered what he was looking at.
The shock seems to have made him morph back into the human form. She looked around her to find out what was going on.
Her mother, Annie lay beside her crying already. After that, nothing else was amiss.
“Kill her!” Xavier’s voice was hard and deep with a series of emotions.
Annie ran to Bonnie, she knelt before her, “Please, kill me and leave my daughter out of it,” she pleaded softly.
Brook’s muscles contracted a bit but he couldn’t cry. Maybe it was because he held a high position. As the elder, you are not meant to go soft as the rest. Crying and shaking are attributes of being weak.
“Please, I don’t know where your mate is. I heard she was passing through this area and only came to get her to safety because I was scared of this happening to her,” Brook said suddenly.
Xavier turned towards Brook again and made a rasping sound in his throat, “Are you seriously telling me to believe that?”
Brook looked up at him now, ” I’m not telling you to believe me. I’m telling you to make a proper search before concluding so easily.”
Xavier felt a rush surge of anger, he hated it when people try to correct him. He was the great Alpha after all.
He rushed to Brook and reached out for his neck, taking him so high that Brook had to struggle for air.
Xavier was being nice, so nice. He could have killed him right there. He didn’t have to ask him damn questions.
He would never forgive anyone that tries to harm his mate, he would never do.
Bonnie rushed forward quickly, desperately. She would rather die than watch her father do so.
Bonnie caught Xavier’s arm, something she shouldn’t have done. She stared up at him, “Please, don’t kill my father. Kill me instead.”
The words angered Xavier the more and blood shot out. He caught Bonnie by the neck and lifted her off the ground too, while still holding Brook in the other hand.
“Xavier!” Wesley called urgently and that was when Xavier was able to look at Bonnie.
His eyes went darker with shock. The anger he felt earlier was beginning to ebb away.
