Chapter 11: Let Go

Chapter 11: Let Go

"Joyce!"

When Nathan saw the child falling, before he could rush over there, Joyce had already plunged down.

With all his strength, he bent down and grabbed Joyce's wrist.

Half of his body was hanging outside the building. His other hand was holding the fence tightly. His blue veins could be seen clearly, and his eyes became red as the blood flowed back.

Watching Joyce sway in the wind, he used all his strength.

Joyce heard Nathan's voice, looked at him anxiously, and couldn't help crying.

Her arms hurt a lot , but it was nothing comparing with her worry.

Her pale lips trembled:" Mike fell down. I'm going to save him. He was so young that he didn't know he has a mother.”

Nathan gritted his teeth. Every muscle of his body was stretched and he dared not relax a little. Although Joyce was slim, however, at that time, he felt her weight and began to plunge downwards.

Fortunately, several policemen got there quickly, and pulled his leg one by one. Soon, they were dragged upwards.

Joyce felt no fear when falling, instead, she felt a joy of reunion with Mike. After all, it was on the 12th floor. How can a child still be ok after falling? Besides, she didn't hear Mike crying.

But this sudden increase of strength suddenly blocked the way for their reunion. She struggled with her legs:" Nathan, let me go, I'm going to find Mike."

Nathan released the hand grabbing the fence. He wanted to grab Joyce with both hands. He could never let this woman die. Besides, it was the child of another bastard.

He gritted his teeth and tried to pull up the woman who had hurt him and slap her in the face to sober her up.

He stared at Joyce, with sweat on his forehead. His sweat gathered and fell on Joyce's pale and desperate face." Listen to me, take it easy...The child...he is all right. There is grass on the ground. The soil is very soft. It won't hurt him very much. He may just feel dizzy.Joyce, listen to me , don't move.”

The glittering sweat pounded on her heart, and she was a little bit surprised.

"Nathan, you care about me, right?

A vague feeling rose in her heart, which was painful and filled her heart.

But she knew that it was useless. Their son was dead. She felt ashamed in front of him. She frowned, and her tears were pouring out of her eyes continuously.

She kept her eyes open, there was no light in front of her. Her thin body swayed at the edge. The wind blew through her hair: "I own him!"

When thinking of Mike, she shut her eyes .It seemed that something had torn her broken heart to pieces in an instant.

“He was so young that he had never called her mother.”

If it weren't her...

Only when her death can compensate him.

"I'll pull you up first. Mike will be all right. The doctor has come." After hearing what he had said, she still felt worried.

After seeing her calm down, Nathan continued, "Since you feel guilty, you should live well and take care of him so that he can feel the warmth of his mother."

"He...is really alive?" Her voice was trembling and her scarred hands held his wrist. At that moment, she was greedy for the warmth in his palm.

"Yes, believe me, he's still alive. He'll be all right."

The broken building had already cut his arm, and his hands were covered with blood.

He didn't feel pain. His eyes were full of worries and the determination to save her. He clearly hated her and wanted her to die, but at this moment, he wished she lived well.
