Eavesdropping

Rebecca and George came back to the study. The walk seemed to have cleared Rebecca’s head a little, and she was not as excited as before.

“Yes,” George admitted without besitation.

Rebecca’s face turned pale. “Have you known about what happened between Edward and me?”

Some few minutes later there came a scream from the study that sounded like it came from a woman who had collapsed, which scared her.

Was it Rebecca screaming? What was going on? Had she been r*ped by George?

No, it wasn’t in Rebecca’s character to mind having s*x with George. What the hell?

After a few more screams, the room became quiet again, which made Sigrid more curious.

She knew she shouldn’t have eavesdropped! She hadn’t heard any actual dialogue and was so curious that she wanted to rush in and ask what the two of them were doing!

About ten minutes later, the door of the study suddenly opened.

Sigrid was shocked. She turned her face and looked into Rebecca’s eyes, which were red from crying:

“Go back to your room to rest. I have work to do.”

When Sigrid saw him closing the door of the study, she guessed that he might be in a bad mood after talking with Rebecca, so he did not want to face her.
