Chapter 971

Chapter 971

“Ch. it’s no hassle at all!” Wendy waved her hands around. “It’s the least I could do.”

Marilyn didn’t know that Larissa had moved. Thus, Larissa had to go to her old apartment to wait for her before she came.

So as to not arouse Marilyn’s suspicions, Lewis drove Wendy’s car. He waited in a corner.

When Marilyn arrived, she called Larissa.

Larissa waited around on the first floor. She acted as if she’d just walked out. She ran toward Marilyn hurriedly.

Once Larissa was buckled up, Marilyn handed her a McRonald’s bag. “It’s still so early. You haven’t had breaklast yet, have you? I passed a McRonald’s and got you something.”

Larissa did not take it.

“Thanks, but I ate at home.”

Larissa didn’t dare to eat something so random.

“What?” Marilyn was stunned. She urged. “Why don’t you eat a little? It’s still warm. What about some coffee?”

“It’s okay.” Larissa was determined. “I had a big breakfast. I’m pretty full

“Fine.” Marilyn put the things into the backseat reluctantly.

She started the car and asked Larissa, “Do you know how to get there?”

Larissa shook her head and took her phone out. “We could use the GPS.”

“I’m pretty bad with directions.” Marilyn was laying the groundwork “Don’t blame me if I go the wrong way.

alright?

Larissa’s heart thumped on her chest. Something wasn’t night.

It felt like Marilyn was prepared to go the wrong way.

As expected, Marilyn soon turned in the opposite direction.

“Ch! I took the wrong way! Marilyn exclaimed. She began fumbling around.

Larissa knew that Lewis was right behind them. So, she wasn’t anxious.

The navigation app quickly showed them a new route.

Larissa pointed out the road for Marilyn. “Just make a U–turn up front.”

However, Marilyn missed the turn.

Larissa grew solemn. She no longer wanted to play this game.

“What are you doing?”

Now, Marilyn panicked for real

“Nothing!” She forced out a smile. “Didn’t I tell you I was bad with directions?”

“Then stop the car. Larissa tumed off the app and prepared to dial a number. “Otherwise I’m calling the cops.”

The smile on Marilyn’s face vanished.

“What are you doing, Larissa? An icy light flashed across her eyes.

At once, she dug out a pistol from under her seat and pointed it at Larissa. Coldly, she instructed, “Put the phone away.”
