Stuck In The Wrong Marriage

Chapter 9

Happy reading….

The morning atmosphere was so beautiful. Accompanied by a cup of warm tea and the wind blowing is delivering a cool feeling. Elena smiled slightly as she closed her eyes.

“You don’t want to go home?” asked the figure after a pair of arms were perfectly wrapped around Elena’s waist.

“Later. I want to be here first,” said Elena enjoying how warm her lover’s body was by pressing her body tighter. Jayden was like a very solid wall on which Elena leaned against.

“Okay,” Jayden said, taking the tea in Elena’s hand and placing it on the table. Twisting the woman’s slender body so that their eyes meet. “I’ve prepared a dress for you to wear tonight at the party,” he said again.

“Should I come?” asked Elena doubtfully.

“Of course. You will be the most special guest,” said Jayden, pinching her chin.

“But, Hera….”

“She will come too.”

“And will be your wife you introduced to your business colleagues,” Elena softly snorted. It was a fact that made her want to eliminate Hera’s existence as soon as possible.

“That’s only until this project is finished. After that, you will bear the title of Mrs. Jayden Xavier … the only one,” Jayden said and kissed Elena’s cheek affectionately.

Elena’s hope seemed to resurface even she couldn’t hide the smile etched on her beautiful face.

“Okay, I’ll come,” she said nodding slowly with a faint smile.

“Then I’ll say goodbye. I have to take care of all the party preparations,” Jayden said after glancing at his watch.

Elena just cleared her throat, looking straight at Jayden who was getting further and further away from her. Until the man’s broad back has now completely disappeared behind the door.

Before coming to the hotel that will be the venue for the big event tonight, Jayden first went home. He couldn’t have come to the hotel in such a chaotic state. This can tarnish his authority as a CEO.

Actually he didn’t need to bother to control everything. After all, he had left the job to Roy and Jayden was sure he would never let him down.

“Where have you been?”

The first words Jayden heard as he entered the house.

“None of your business!” Jayden snapped without even glancing at Hera.

“Then where is Elena?” The question suddenly made Jayden stop his steps and finally turned to Hera.

“Why are you asking? Isn’t this what you wanted? For Elena to get out of this house?” Jayden asked in succession with a mocking grin on his face.

“That’s exactly what I wanted,” replied Hera.

“What?”

“After all, that woman is nothing. So she has no right to live in this house.”

“Watch your words, Hera!” Jayden shouted quite loudly.

“And you also take care of what you do, Jayden. You are still my husband. You don’t want this family’s reputation to be destroyed when someone finds out that you brought your mistress to live with your wife,” Hera replied, making Jayden speechless.

The figure of Hera that Jayden had never seen before. She turned out to be stronger than expected. Jayden is like finding a balanced opponent. And circumstances forced Hera to reveal her selfish side. It was enough for her to cry and hurt to see the husband she loved making out with another woman in front of her eyes. To fight them not with tears but with a fight back. Hera didn’t want to always be under the pressure of that shameless couple.

“You’re threatening me?” Jayden asked in disbelief.

“If you think of it like that … yes I threaten you,” Hera replied then walked away leaving Jayden who could only chuckle. What a brave woman.

Hera smiled faintly at her reflection in the mirror. The dress involved fits her body perfectly.

“Are you done?” Jayden asked walking into the guest room occupied by Hera. Even though Elena was no longer there Hera was still reluctant to move, besides she had no alibi to return to the room again.

“Yes,” replied Hera, smiling sweetly. Unknowingly Jayden continued to watch Hera. In her long peach-colored dress, Hera looked very elegant and beautiful. Her make-up wasn’t too much to make her look like a twenty year old woman. It didn’t even look like a woman who had just given birth.

“Shall we go now?” Hera asked bringing Jayden out of his thoughts.

Jayden is mad. “Y-yes. Let’s go!” he said go first. Jayden had to pretend to improve his appearance so as not to look nervous in front of Hera.

‘Unlucky! Why am I like this?’ Jayden asked himself.

As a couple who will be in the spotlight there. Jayden swiftly brought Hera’s hand around his arm. As usual, when they were in public like now they had to put on a charade that would make everyone who saw it either envy or impress.

“Welcome!” greeted the people who were returned by a brief hug from Jayden and a sweet smile from Hera.

“I want to meet mom and dad first,” Hera said goodbye to Jayden when her net found the whereabouts of her father and mother. Jayden just nodded slowly as a sign of permission and went back to busy talking with his colleagues.

“Mom, Dad!” Hera called making the pair turn to look at Hera.

“Hera! Have you come?” greeted the mother taking her daughter into her arms.

“Yes, Mom. I didn’t expect mom and dad to come.” Hera’s eyes wandered around again as if looking for someone. “Are Mama and Papa also coming?” Hera asked looking back at her parents.

“They’re there!” Andrew pointed at his who was also busy talking with some clients.

They just smiled at Hera for a while and Hera replied, waving slowly.

“Oh, yes, Hera … introduce this Mr. Haidar Pratama,” said Andrew, pointing to the man in a silver suit in front of him.

Hera smiled sweetly at the man and stretched out her hand.

“Hera Altezza, wife of Jayden Xavier,” Hera said introducing herself. Even though deep down she just wanted to introduce herself as Hera without the frills of Jayden’s wife.

“Haidar Pratama,” said Haidar shaking Hera’s hand.

Time seemed to stop there. Hera looked closely at Haidar as well as the man.

Why do I feel like I’ve seen those jet black eyes somewhere? Hera thought quietly.

The voice, the face and even the warm feeling created by their introduction was like Hera had seen and felt it before but she forgot where.

Haidar looks familiar. But it felt foreign to Hera. The woman quickly withdrew her hand making the hand and the gaze cut off. They didn’t even realize that they were alone there. I don’t know where Hera’s mother and father went.

“Sorry….” Haidar spoke making Hera turn to him. “Have we met before?” asked Haidar.

So, I’m not the only one who finds him familiar? Who exactly is Haidar Pratama?

To be continued….
