Chapter 27 The Smart Lot

Chapter 27 The Smart Lot

Funny and absurd. A murderer who killed her father, framed her to jail, and bit back and called her

ungrateful.

Emily greeted the fierce gaze on her, laughed so hard that tears were about to overflow her eyes, but

the words she said were extremely bitter, “I poisoned my father, slept with my sister’s fiancé,

persecuted my stepmother, and forced Mr. Clark to marry me. Any one of my sins is my ticket to the

bloody hell."

Dorothy hated it the most when Emily provoked her like this. Every time Dorothy saw this young

woman’s crazy appearance, her sensitive nerves hurt like burning.

"Emily, you hooked up with the Clark family... you think I don’t know that?"

"With love, it’s not a hookup. What do you know about love?" Emily hated the word hookup. Speaking

of hookup, this old woman was the master of it. "It was the same when you married my dad. You call

that hookup?"

Dorothy was so angry that the coffee cup was shaking in her hand. She reluctantly maintained a smile,

“What else do you have to offer Sebastian, bitch? He protects you like you are his whore."

Protecting her, what did that mean? What did this have to do with Sebastian?

"Do you really think that you can get rid of the murder charge for just two years in prison?" Dorothy

continued, with a worse murderous look, “Your dad’s old pals, have long lost their power. Besides, even

if they still got it, they would not help you out from a murder charge."

Emily was also curious about this matter. When she first sentenced, it was a suspended death

sentence, but then all of a sudden, it was changed to fifteen years, and she was finally released after

two years.

She didn’t do anything outstanding to have reduced her jail time. When she just came out, she asked

several old friends of her father, including Xander Rees. They all said it was her father’s best friend that

offered the help. But none of them told her the details of this “best friend”.

She had not given it much thought, since she had more to worry about.

Now Emily frowned, still in a cold tone, “What makes you think I should believe you?"

Sebastian treated her like shit. If she fell into the river, he would throw her a pair of dumb bells.

Moreover, she set him up more than once, so there was no reason for him to speak for her.

“Emily, I hope you can live well." Dorothy smiled again, with unspeakable gorgeousness, but

emotionless, “The game between us has just begun. I would feel very boring to lose my opponent so

quickly."

Emily really wanted to stretch out her hand and slap, but she had to endure, “I’m gaming."

After that, Emily walked out. When she passed by Louisa, she whispered softly, “Take care of

Grandma."

If Dorothy dared to hurt Maisie, Emily would definitely let the mother and daughter disappear forever.

Although what she could do was limited now, but sooner or later, she would take control.

...

Around 9pm, Oskar’s secretary called Emily again, for a “business meeting”. But it could not be more

obvious that it was never about business.

But this time, she didn't refuse. She accepted the order. She should be very grateful. Since something

like this would come sooner or later, she naturally hoped it could come by itself and be taken care of

sooner.

After arriving at F Hotel, Emily was led up to her way by a manager personally.

When she knocked on the door, the man inside replied "wait a minute" vaguely from the room, since he

was still taking a shower.

About two minutes later, the door opened, and Oskar showed up in briefs, with a mess of white towels

wrapped around his head. The situation was a bit funny and embarrassing.

She asked, "Am I here early?"

Oskar checked his water-proof waist watch, said this nonsense with a serious look, “It's just about right.

If you come a few seconds later, I will be more decent."

Emily rolled her eyes.

"Come in and talk." He said as he went in to find pants to wear.

She glanced at the room. It was a lovers’ suite, blossoming red roses on the snow-white bed.

Everything including the layout of the room, was all according to the standards of a couple.

It was really inappropriate for her to go in. She stood still and said, "I don’t think it’s very convenient for

you."

If she was an experienced gold digger, then Oskar must be an experienced playboy. He knew exactly

what she was thinking about.

"These are all complemented by the hotel. Don't think too much about it. I'm not going to be a prodigal,

and I can do just fine, even without a woman for a moment."

With Oskar talking, Emily took a few steps back further.

This was her bottom line. Things would be more complicated after she crossing it.

"Mr. Miller, I didn't mean that."

"Then what do you mean?"

Oskar looked at her with a stubborn look and began to run out of patience. He let out a long, lazy "Oh"

and added, “I know, Morris Properties does not have special services. The first time we met, you have

solemnly told me that."

He was in a pair of loosen jeans and that was all the clothes on him. His belly had obvious abdominal

muscles. With long-lasting and continuous exercise, his body shape was perfected to each piece of

muscle.

Emily stood there, staring at the man’s body of lust. She could neither avert her sight nor move her

steps. She laughed and teased him, “Can you put on some clothes? I can’t stand your... tempting

body."

Oskar was always playful and teasing women. This was the first time he was teased by one. Oskar

went blushed.

He was about to reach out and pull Emily in, but stopped. After a light flashed at the corner of the

corridor, and a figure disappeared not far away. After living under the spot light so long, Oskar could tell

a paparazzi when he saw one.

Oskar thought about it for a moment, then he asked, “When you came up just now, did you find anyone

following you?"

Hearing that, Emily’s first reaction was to turn her head. But Oskar stopped her, “Don't look."

Emily had no idea who she had provoked. She had no idea who would sneak up to snap shoot her at

night. So she simply shook her head.

Oskar's eyes suddenly became clear. If she was not the target, then he must be. No one else could do

this except his girlfriend Fiona Clark.

"We should do it another time, another day..."

Oskar’s cell phone suddenly began to ring, and when he saw that it was indeed Fiona Clark calling, he

whispered cursing, and then asked, "James will give you a ride.”

Emily was a smart woman. Though others couldn’t understand, she could. Oskar, like Sebastian, had

complicated family fairs.

At this moment, his real girlfriend was about to come. If she did not leave the scene fast, she would be

torn out.
