Sorry, I’m not Cinderella

Chapter 56: Better condition

Zane is not much less than her, he doesn’t understand why he uses such a cold commanding tone with her, realizing that she seems to be scared, he suddenly feels bad about himself but doesn’t know how to handle it. How he cleared his throat.

“I don’t want to see other people fall in front of me. Especially people who are nice to me.”

“What did you say?”

Clara was once again bewildered, she originally intended to get out of bed, not wanting others to look at her and misunderstand. Unexpectedly, he opened his heart to her. Suddenly he reached out and took her left hand. Clara was startled and wanted to withdraw her hand, but he held it tightly and didn’t want to let go.

“At least until you’re fully recovered, I’ll let you go. Now lie down.”

Her face was burning hot, Clara hurriedly lowered her head to hide the emotional tears that had just fallen, the atmosphere was so stuffy. For the first time, someone made her cry.

He suddenly gave her a strange warmth. That made her happy, but at the same time even more scared.

“Is this your request?” She asked, at least preferring to follow his boss’s request than to receive his attention.

Frustrated, she confused him: “Yes, that’s a request.”

He satisfied her wishes.

“I know.” Clara obediently submits.

She leaned back in silence on the soft bed, at least for now.

Zane was bewildered again when there was no longer any sign of her resistance. She said nothing more. He hated the silence, it gave him a feeling of suffocating anxiety.

“Cinderella! Are you okay? Say something.” He touched the edge of the bed to get closer to her.

Clara lay still, her eyes closed and then slowly opened, she looked at the boy who was groping to come to her, his lips slightly curved, and a feeling of nervousness surged in her heart.

“I was lazy again and made you worry. I sincerely apologize.” She said she felt very guilty. Clara looked at him with concern, the feeling of neglect for the mission became more and more obvious.

“Don’t say that, you’ll be fine. Just rest assured, everything will be later.”

He quickly reassured her, then sat back down in the chair, receiving a howl. He was afraid that she would panic and lose consciousness again.

What is this feeling? It was so peaceful, it really made her feel relieved. Unknowingly, a slight smile appeared on her lips, and she looked at him again before drifting off into a peaceful sleep.

The silence broke in again.

“Cinderella!” He called when she said nothing more. Again, she made his standstill. Zane leaned in closer to her and heard the steady and harmonious breathing, he rests assured to sit back in the chair, it turned out that she was still not fully awake, only because the sense of vigilance was awakened just now. Just like that, he put his head down next to her hand and fell asleep when he didn’t know.

By the time it was already dawn outside, Clara, out of habit, woke up, looking at him for a long time, her heart rising with a strange agitation.

‘What made me meet you?’ She wondered.

Although at first she felt unapproachable, arrogant, or looked down on by others, gradually she realized, behind the mask that was displayed for everyone to see, hidden behind it was a completely different person.

After a while, feeling that everything was fine, she crept out of bed and left the room.

He is still fast asleep.

Zane slowly raised his head, the warm feeling made him want to sleep a little longer, seeing nothing made him forget where he was for a moment. Zane reached out and pulled the blanket… Wait, is it a blanket? Zane was startled to sit up, his mind was slow to grasp the situation around him, he was still sleeping on the chair, his head down next to her bed, but since when did he have a warm blanket on him, could it be? Zane shook his head in fear… the thought of oversleeping and the sick man on the other bed waking up to get the blanket for him made him feel extremely guilty and ashamed.

“Cinderella!” In a panic, he waved his hands wildly, noticing that the bed was empty. A feeling of dread rose again.

Clara disappeared again.

This time somewhere else.

“Mommy!” Hana frantically called Xenia. She rushed downstairs, cheerfully telling her something.

“Look at yourself, your daughter is a little soft-spoken.”

She raised her voice to correct the inappropriate behavior of a rich lady. Then she asked, “What’s the fuss about this morning?”

“Last night, Clara didn’t come home again.” She said with an eager face and had an excuse to entertain.

Different from her usual scheming, sinister expression, she was indifferent to that information.

‘How are you going to punish him?’ She suddenly asked, with excitement: “You have a great idea.”

Before she said anything, Sarah’s voice came from behind them.

-“What’s wrong mom? In the morning, Hana looks like she’s caught gold.”

“Yesterday Clara didn’t come home again.” Hana likes to give a quick tip: “I and my mother are discussing how to punish him. Do you have any ideas?”

Sarah looked thoughtful, very confused: “The last time she was abused like that, she still did it again? This is very strange. Maybe she left.” Sarah raised suspicion for everyone, and Hana immediately turned to look at her. Suddenly Sarah continued to startle both of them: “Have you checked his room? Is there any furniture?”

Sarah said it made her lose interest, like being on a cloud and being kicked to the ground. Looking at her sister Sarah’s face, she added: “Quick! Let’s go check it out, maybe it’s really gone.”

The two women looked at each other and hurried upstairs, but she was able to speak:

“No need,” Xenia called them back.

“What’s wrong mom? Maybe he’s too scared to run away.”

Hana stood on the stairs, looking down at her mother, and asked.
