She’s Married, Sir (Scarlett and Sebastian)

Chapter 57

Chapter 57

The thin white shirt wafted a familiar scent that was uniquely his, and she froze in place.

Subconsciously raising her head, she looked at hus collarbone, but there was no Azure Dragon tattoo,

She lowered her eyes in disappointment, realizing it wasn’t him after all.

Sebastian, with one hand, grasped her shoulder and nudged her aside.

“You really know how to throw yourself into the fray!”

It seemed that he just saw her leaning into Dev’s armis,

“L..

Scarlett opened her mouth to explain, but he seemed to have got his fingers in something dirty, as he

took out a wet towel and frantically wipe his fingers.

He wiped it hard, then flung the damp towel onto Scarlett’s face.

His cold, gloomy eyes looked at her as if she were a lowly creature, then he strode into the private

room.

She didn’t have to open the door this time, the brief pause just then had been solely for her

humiliation.

Scarlett, her face cold, took the wet towel off and threw it into the garbage bin beside her, her

expression unprecedentedly ugly

Calming the anger in her chest, she clenched her cell phone and reseated herself.

No one and nothing could easily knock her down, for she had

patience.

When Sebastian entered the private room, the Gatsby Group’s vice president and executives were all

taken aback.

They had not anticipated Sebastian’s attendance at the Napier Group dinner party.

After the shock, the group quickly grasped the significance of Napier Group.

Gatsby Group had been aming their sights on Napier Group all along, and Sebastian was present to

back up Scarlee.

Since Sebastian had stepped in, the Gatsby Group no longer posed any difficulty for Scarlee.

Contrarily, they warmly invited Sebastian to the seat of honor, praising him and toasting him with wine.

Sebastian’s expression stayed impassive.

When Dey returned from outside, he coldly raised his eyes and gave him a cold glance.

Dev had just gotten a message from Mr. Baber in the restroom informing him that Sebastian had

arrived.

Seeing Sebastian, he was not surprised; rather, he had anticipated it.

He was unaware of the details between Scarlee and Sebastian, but he was aware that the Jackman

and Napier Groups were to be joined in matrimony in the near future.

Sebastian, being Scarlee’s partner in marriage, would naturally come to support her; otherwise, he

would be at a loss.

Raising his glass in a hurry as he saw Sebastian sizing him up, he toasted him.

Although Sebastian replied, his demeanor was haughty and contemptuous.

Upon seeing this. Dey remained silent.

He had long heard of his reputation for being bizarre.

He was aloof and haughty, never showing respect to those he disliked.

His response to the occasion indicated that he still held himself in high esteem.

However, to a large extent, it was probably because of Scarlee that he gave him such face.

Scarlee was adept at navigating the lively atmosphere, and with just a few words, the people on both

sides quickly became acquainted.

He deliberately guided everyone from life, to work, projects, bidding meetings, and the recent issue of

Gatsby Group targeting Napier Group.

Sebastian remained largely silent throughout the process, his deep, malicious eyes occasionally

darting towards the door. Scarlee noticed Sebastian glancing toward the door periodically, so she

followed his gaze and looked over.

Just as she spotted Scarlett’s slender back, she furrowed her brows. “Sebastian, what are you gawking

at?”

With a cold face, Sebastian picked up the phone and shifted his gaze to the phone screen. “What’s the

end time?”

Scarlee thought that he was gazing at the sky outside and quickly uttered, “Hang on for me a bit

longer.”

After she finished speaking, she looked at Dev and the executives he brought with him, “Mr. Gatsby,

Mr. Baber, you can be sure that the situation in the west of the city is in good hands. Mr. Jackman has

always been fair and just when making decisions, and he will never be biased. If the two of us want to

secure the development rights, we will have to rely on our own merits to win the bid. What do you

think?”
