Chapter 9 – A Whole Lotta Explanation
"What have you been doing with your life?"
Jada was surprised when somebody spoke next to her. She didn't notice that Kobe had already gotten so close and he'd finally managed to ask what he'd been thinking about for hours now.
She smiled sheepishly at the man to somehow make him forget what he wanted to know, but it wasn't effective. He just sat there looking intensely at her and he seemed determined to get an answer. Jada suddenly felt scared, "Hon, Kobe's interrogating me!" she called, trying to get Honey to rescue her, but the woman didn't respond.
"He plays with men, Kobe," Bambi spilled. He even sticks his tongue out at Jada.
"Wow! Aren't you being rude? How was I playing with them when I was actually pleasuring them?" she tried to refute.
Jada knew what she said didn't make any sense. But she has to say something before Kobe starts scolding her.
If she lets him talk first, she'd probably feel lost and she might slip up. And with everything she knows, that's a huge no-no.
When the man was about to say something, the door of her unit flew open. It was Ada. Jada immediately stood up to welcome him, as if she saw her savior. But it was indeed just that, as if. "Jadanela Cuevas I'm talking to you!" Kobe said through gritted teeth.
"Woah! That's intense!" Ada butted in but Kobe just glared at him.
Jada walked back to the counter slowly and sat down on the stool. Pouting her lips, she turned to Kobe, "You scared me Kobekins, I thought it was my father who spoke," she tried to joke, but again, it was ineffective. As he glared at her, Jada felt like he was looking at her soul. He's looking deep within. It made her feel like she had no other choice but to answer whatever question he had for her.
She faced the man and shot her brows up. It's her asking him to bring it on. She's ready to lie to him and tell him whatever it is that he wants to know.
"So what exactly are you doing?" he asked authoritatively.
"I date!" Jada smiled sheepishly at him. There was nothing wrong with that and she was hoping that Kobe would finally let go of her case. Then again, she was wrong.
"How exactly do you date? One night stand?" he asked again. But the tone of his voice had become more serious.
"Nope! No thrusting. Just sucking and licking, then bye!" She stated while pointing a finger at him.
He slammed the kitchen counter hard and I was startled. Even Honey, Ada, and Bambi were surprised at what he did.

They all looked at Jada but none of them was ready to save her from Kobe. She tried looking at him but she couldn't stand his gaze. He was looking at her as if he was ready to wring her neck.
"What do you mean just sucking and licking, then bye? Are you a whore?" he asked, no holds barred.
"Hey stop! You're being too judgmental!" She tried smiling to calm everyone's nerves down but to no avail. This was the first time she felt this nervous in front of the man.
Her nervousness heightened when his gaze intensified. She then let out a heavy sigh, sipped her coffee, and looked straight at his face.
"I date. When it comes to the point that something's about to happen, I try my best to avoid them. Give them a head if needed. If they ask for anything more than that, then it's goodbye! It was that simple!" She ended her statement with conviction.
Jada's heartbeat doubled when he stayed quiet for like five minutes. He then let out a harsh sigh before looking at the woman again.
He scratched his forehead and lightly pulled his hair, he looked really frustrated talking to Jada. "And why do you have to do that?" he asked, brows knitted.
"What do you mean why? As bf-gf, we have needs that the other party has to provide. Should I just let anyone I get into a relationship with fuck me? Will that satisfy them?" she responded.
"And what made you think that way?" he followed up.
"Well, men need women to satisfy their lust and vice versa. As long as they're enjoying it. As long as it's driving them crazy that very moment. It doesn't really matter if it's passionate sex, some quickie, a handjob, or a blowjob," she stated, stressing the last word.
"Jada, not all men are like that for Pete's sake!" he blurted out.
"Well, Kobekins, people have different beliefs and that's what I believe in. And I don't mean all men. Just some of you, okay? I'm not generalizing. I know you're different!" She even wriggled her brows at him.
He was silent again. Bowing down the kitchen counter, he cupped his face with his hands. Combing his hair with his fingers, he faced Jada again.
"Does this have something to do with--" he tried saying, but she cut him off by putting a finger near his mouth.
"Sshh! Don't say bad words. And this has nothing to do with anyone. It only has something to do with me, myself, and I," looking at him and smiling sheepishly.
Jada then walked towards the couch to join the gossipmongering of Ada and Bambi. Honey, on the other hand, sat next to Kobe, whispering something.
She could see them glancing at her, whispering something at each other from time to time. Kobe seems to be asking her something, but she doesn't care at all.
Honey won't have the answers to whatever question he has anyway. Only Jada got the answers. It was only her, who knew the past, and she wouldn't let anyone in on that.
Telling people what she witnessed was like trampling on herself. Telling people what Lyken did to her will just boost that womanizer's ego.
And being the Jada that she is now, she won't let that happen. Not in this entire lifetime, not even in the next, not ever.
