Serenity and Zachary York

Chapter 3231

“Nana said she would respect my decision and just told me not to regret it," Dylan said as he ladled some soup for his mother before ladling another bowl for his father when he saw him enter. "I've never done anything I regret."

Although he was conflicted before and did not know if he should choose Imogen or Chameleon Fox, he knew he felt particularly happy with the latter. He also looked forward to their meetings despite arguing every single time they met, which was noticeably absent when it came to Imogen.

He had forced himself to approach Imogen because she was Grandma May's choice, but reality proved that feelings could not be forced.

Rosella hummed in acknowledgment. "Just make sure you don't regret it in the future, then."

She knew it-there was no way Grandma May would have ceded to Dylan so easily. So he was still in the dark about the truth! He had even said he never did anything he would regret.

Grandma May never did anything she was unsure of.

Even Rosella understood her mother-in-law well, so Martin naturally understood his crafty mother better than Rosella did. The couple exchanged glances with a tacit understanding, and did not ask further about Dylan and Imogen.

As they ate, Rosella continuously placed more food on Dylan's plate.

"Mom, I had some barbecue right after I got back so I can't eat much," Dylan said as he did his best to finish the mountain of food on his plate. "You should give some to Dad so he doesn't get jealous again and say that I'm stealing his wife's attention."

Just as he finished saying that, Martin placed some food on Dylan's plate too. "You're normally very busy with work and probably don't eat proper meals, do you? You look like you've lost weight. Eat up."

Dylan laughed. “Dad, didn't you say you were going to give me just plain mash and broccoli?"

"I didn't mean it."

Dylan served his parents some food too, internally thinking that now that he had cleared the air with his parents, they seemed quite open-minded and were not blaming him-completely unsuspecting that he was the fool!

Meanwhile, in Serenity's office, Imogen leaned back in the black chair, holding a cup of coffee in one hand while she used the other to stir her coffee with a spoon.

"Do you really not want to eat?" Serenity stopped working. It was time to get off work. "Do you want to try the food at our cafeteria?"noveldrama

"Aren't you going to eat with Mr. York? I'm disturbing you, aren't I?"

“No, Zachary's having lunch with a client, so I'm not joining him. We have a cafe here where I usually eat when I'm busy. It's not bad." Serenity reassured.

The three bosses of the company were all foodies and they would eat at the cafeteria occasionally, so the quality of the food was guaranteed. If the food was bad and they were not able to enjoy the food and fill their stomachs, how would they get the energy to work?

"Alright, then. I'll drink this coffee later." Imogen put the steaming hot coffee down. She had just made it for herself, though she arrived half an hour ago.

That morning, after Dylan left, she went back to her room and slept for a while. When she woke once more, her headache was gone, so she left the hotel.

She was not familiar with Wiltspoon. The only person she knew was Dylan, but it was obvious he did not want to be with her. Although Imogen wanted to give herself a fighting chance, she did not want to be too persistent about it.
