Chapter 7 She Is on a Hunger Strike
Chapter 7 She Is on a Hunger Strike
The two bodyguards hit Matilda very skillfully. It could make Matilda feel hurt, but she could still walk
normally.
Finally, Laney ordered the two bodyguards to lift Matilda up and then took her into the car.
Matilda was tortured for two consecutive days. Besides, she did not have breakfast this morning. She
was very weak now. Feeling dizzy, she felt that she would pass out almost at any time.
But in the car, Laney still pinched Matilda's thigh with her nails.
Whenever Matilda wanted to resist, the bodyguards would grab Matilda's hand and stop her from
moving, so that Laney could torture her more unscrupulously.
When they reached the gate of the Wilson's Mansion, Matilda almost couldn’t get off the car by herself.
Laney sat in the car and asked the butler who was waiting outside, "Is Samuel at home?"
The steward replied respectfully, "Mr. Samuel went to the company this morning, but he hasn't come
back yet."
Laney nodded, and then ordered the two bodyguards, "Matilda can't walk. You two drag her in."
"Yes."
The two bodyguards immediately lifted Matilda up and dragged her into the living room. Then they
throw her on the floor with a bang sound.
Laney didn't care about Matilda. She took the tea from the servant, and then started calling in front of
Matilda.
"Samuel, I have brought my sister back. I let the chef prepare a lot of dishes to welcome sister. Do you
come back for lunch at noon?"
Matilda looked down and listened, expressionless.
"Don't need to prepare for a banquet for sister? Why..." Laney frowned. Her voice was soft, "It's okay. I
don't mind the past. She is my sister after all... You go head your business. I have to hang up."
Matilda sneered. It was a pity that Laney wasn’t an actress.
Laney put down the phone, laughing, "Since Samuel said that I didn't need to prepare the food for you,
you don't need to eat at noon today. Lock her in the room. Don't give her any food or water!"
After she finished speaking, the bodyguards immediately dragged Matilda upstairs, threw her into the
guest room, and then locked the door.
Matilda closed her eyes. She didn't want to struggle. Besides, she didn't have any strength to struggle
anymore. So she just lay down on carpet and fell asleep.
She didn't know how long it passed. She was awakened by hunger and thirsty.
She hadn't drunk any water or eaten any food for twenty-four hours in all.
Her lips were dry and cracked. Matilda felt dizzy with hunger.
Supporting the wall, she stood up. Then she looked around the room. Sure enough, there was even no
teapot here.
With a bitter smile, she stumbled to the bathroom and turned on the faucet. She drank a few sips of
water, alleviating the thirsty.
Seeing herself in the mirror, who was so pale and almost miserable, Matilda slowly closed her eyes.
She didn't want to die here. She didn't want Laney to know that she was terminally ill. She didn’t want
to be laughed at by Laney. She didn’t want Samuel to see her miserable appearance of dying of illness
gradually.
She must find a way to leave from here.
The dizziness struck again. In order to save the energy, Matilda lay on the bed and fell asleep again
groggy.
When she was half-dreaming and half-awake, she vaguely heard the footsteps and wheelchairs
coming from outside the door.
Then it was Laney's worried and sweet voice, "My sister hasn’t eaten anything since she arrived at
home. She shut herself in the room, and no one is allowed in."
Laney said with a little grievance, "I wanted to give her a bowl of porridge, but she let me go away...
Samuel, sister seems to be very reluctant to live in our home..."
Matilda felt funny when she was listening to Laney's distortion of the facts.
What was even more ridiculous was that Samuel actually believed in her.
The door was violently pushed open by Samuel. The lights spilled in from the corridor. Samuel’s back
was face to the light, which made his figure look taller and more terrifying.
He just stood at the door. From a few meters away, he was staring coldly at Matilda who curled up on
the bed.
"Since she didn't eat anything, let someone pour it into her mouth!"
