TY'S POV

The coldness and excruciating pain I felt woke me up. I sat up straight and for after a few minutes, I realized that everywhere was totally dark. Did I sleep the whole day? And why did my eyes feel empty?

I took my hands to my face and then froze. I searched my face again. I could not feel my eyes. The only thing I felt there was immense pain. Then it dawned on me, my eyes were plucked out.

I laughed bitterly. This was my end. I was beginning to feel like my victims. I loved killing. It was one of the dark hobbies of mine. Corrupt officials found out and they used me for their dirty jobs and I did them happily because I was getting paid heavily.

Then, I met my mate, Rita's mother and had managed to keep my dark side from her for a while. One fateful day, she found out. She acted like she did not, but I knew she did. I caught whispering it to our daughter, Rita while she slept. She also told Rita that she planned on leaving my house before telling the authorities.

I knew I had to do something, so I poisoned and quit my job as a hired assassin. I decided to start a new life with a new mate, but Rita kept on reminding me of her mother. It made me have bad dreams. As a result, my hatred for her increased as the day passed.

So, today it was not hard for me to try get her killed, but my plan failed. Was I rusty or she just very lucky? I wondered. It was my first time of getting caught.

I heard the door opened and I was grabbed. "Where are you taking me to?" I asked.

"Where else? To the Prison of the Abyss."

"Oh!" I exclaimed. If I wanted to be sincere, I was expecting an end similar to this. I used to kill people for a living, so an end like this was definitely forth coming. After a while, the guards stopped dragging me with them. I felt my body lifted above the ground and I was thrown.

I was expecting to hit a hard surface, but I did not. I kept on falling.

The Prison of the abyss turned out to be a pit. For a long time, I kept on falling and it made me wonder if this pit had an end. Then I felt arrows pass through my body. Little wonder nobody has ever survived this. I would die before hitting the surface.

As I drew my last breath, an image of my first mate came to mind. Then, with the remaining strength in me, I mumbled. "I loved you, but you were a threat to me." RITA'S POV

It's been days since Ty, the man I called father throughout my life, got thrown into the Prison of the abyss. I was seated on a sofa in the great hall.

I glanced at the shelf opposite where I was seated, specifically at the two containers on the shelf. One had one of Sebastian's eyes and the other had two of Ty's eyes.

I relaxed on my sofa. I could not wait to have Sebastian's second eye as a decoration. He knew he would never stop fighting my mate and I, but this time around, we were well-prepared for him. I planned on teaching him a lesson or two for trying to

Taylor and her mother dashed into the room. It seemed like they were being pursued and they ran to bow at my feet.

The guards pursuing them walked inside and they immediately bowed their heads in greetings. "Luna Rita, we are sorry for the inconvenience. We will send them out now."

"Please, don't let them send us away," Taylor pleaded and her mother joined.

I looked up at the guards. "Leave them."

They quicky stood up and bowed their heads. "Luna Rita, thank you," they said in unison bowing their heads and the guards left.

"You're welcome," I replied. I pointed to one of the sofas. "Please, have a seat."

"We can stand," Taylor said. "We came here to plead with you for something."

"If it is about your father, you shouldn't bother. He is long gone by now. I'm sure he is dead."

"We are not here for that evil man. Goddess knows when he was planning to kill us."

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Shelter and food," Taylor's mother replied. "We can no longer stay in the house of a serial killer. It is a bad omen."

Taylor nodded in agreement. "These days, we can barely sleep. We resorted to sleeping outside, but on various occasions, we almost got raped. As we speak, we have no place to stay and we have barely eaten. The bread winner of the house turned out to be a criminal. We want to work as your maids. You can act like you don't know us, but please give us jobs. That way, we can have both food and shelter."

"I can't let the both of you stay here," I said bluntly. I had barely recovered from Ivy's betrayal. The last thing I wanted was another betrayal.

"We know we have sinned against you numerous times, but please have mercy. If you don't help us, we will be both doomed." Both mother and daughter began to plead with me. "Please, show us mercy."

They knelt down to beg.

"Please, get up. I'll help you, but I'm unable to give you jobs. You can sleep here today, but it will only be this nice. By tomorrow, I'll take the both of you to a new apartment. As for feeding, I'll give the both of you allowances until you are able to get a job. You should find new jobs fast though. I don't know how much the allowance will last."

"Thank you," They both said happily. They began to jump around. It was my first time of seeing them this way. Before now, they usually frowned whenever they were around me.

As I watched them, I began to feel dizzy. I developed a slight headache and before anybody could say Jack Robinson,' I fainted.

Everybody's eyes were on me when I woke up. My aunt's, my mate's eyes, Taylor and her mother. Janice and Beta Darius were here too.

My mate hugged me immediately I opened my eyes. He looked happy. I noticed that the others were happy too and I wondered why. I just fainted for no reason, for crying out loud.

"Rita," My aunt called up happily. "You're pregnant."
