The following morning, Rose woke up alone in a ward, having fainted and collapsed several times from the shock. She was devastated. The secrets she had worked so hard to keep hidden were now plastered all over the internet. Her once loyal fanbase turned their backs Meanwhile, Julia was basking in the success of her recent job interview. Caught up in her achievements, she hadn't spared a thought for how Harry was dealing with the scandal surrounding Rose.
While enjoying a shopping spree at the mall, funded by the generous allowance Harry provided, Julia was picking out some stylish new outfits for her upcoming job. She knew she had to look her best- not just for Harry's sake, but to honor her sense of pride and make the most of her striking looks.
After selecting a few pieces, Julia asked the sales assistant to pack them up. As she was about to pay, her phone rang-it was Harry again. His calls had become a frequent annoying occurrence lately.
Showing a flicker of irritation. Julia handed her credit card to the cashier and moved to a quieter spot to answer the call.
"Haven't you seen the news?" Harry inquired. He had managed to handle the situation with Rose but had yet to hear any words of gratitude from Julia.
Julia responded indifferently. I don't keep tabs on rumors about you, Harry. I'm more interested in real news. Is there
another new scandal about you that I should be concerned about??
Harry was taken aback. He was beginning to see that Julia was far from the naive woman he had once thought her to be. Her sharp and clear responses often left him speechless, challenging his initial perceptions of her simplicity.
Tve taken care of the mess caused by Rose. You won't be facing any backlash online anymore," Harry said, his voice carrying a tone of indifference as if he was merely ticking off a task from his to-do list.
For Julia, this was indeed just another mundane issue that barely merited her attention. "Oh, is that so? Well, considering I wasn't the one who got involved with Rose in the first place, it sounds like you're just cleaning up your own mess. There's no need to update me," sh Julia Harry clenched his teeth, struggling to contain his irritation at her dismissive attitude. "If you have nothing constructive to say, then maybe you should shut up," he snapped
Before Julia could respond, Harry abruptly ended the call, leaving her staring at her phone in surprise. "What a rude man," she thought.
Shrugging off the brief interaction and unbothered by the drama surrounding Rose, Julia returned to the cashier. She collected her shopping bags, retrieved her bank card, and decided to treat herself to a nice meal as a reward for a successful day of shopping. She knew s Meanwhile, Harry brooded over their conversation. Even through the phone, he could almost see Julia's indifferent shrug. Her casual dismissal echoed in his mind.
The next moment, his phone buzzed, Annoyed, Harry checked his phone. It was a notification from his bank, reading. [You made a purchase of 20,000 dollars on March 14th at 11:12 a.m.)
Soon after, another message popped up, another spending alert Frustration boiled within him as he realized Julia was happily using his credit card for her shopping spree. The contrast between their current moods was irritating.
Clearly, the issue with Rose hadn't affected Julia at all. Harry's attempt to provoke some gratitude from her had failed; she remained carefree, a reality he was now painfully aware of
Deciding not to dwell on Julia any longer, Harry accepted that his relationship with Julia was nothing more than a
contractual arrangement. When the time was right, they would simply part ways.
Although Harry often found himself ignored by Julia, he had a significant influence on Arya, who adored him deeply. Julia once mentioned any woman close to Harry was a potential rival, and at the moment, Arya was seen as her primary adversary. Julia was just about to head home with her shopping bags when her phone rang again. It was Lucia. Without pausing for a breath, Julia answered the call with a hint of nervousness. She could afford to miss a call from Harry, but not from Lucia.
However, Julia had no clue why Lucia was calling, and the timing couldn't be more suspicious. 'Is Lucia aware of the rumors about Harry and Arya living together?' she wondered.
Julia's tone was noticeably gentler and more respectful with Luca than it had been with Harry. "Lucia, are you looking for Harry? He's still at work. I'll remind him to call you as soon as he can, okay?"
Lucia's tone grew annoyed. "What time is it now, and he's still not back? Is he really that busy? Or is he not finding time to come home? Julia, be honest with me. Is Harry with Arya?"
Caught off guard, Julia quickly denied any wrongdoing on Harry's part. "No, Lucia, Harry's tied up with a business meeting tonight. He mentioned it when he left this morning.
"Drop it, Julia. There's no point in asking you further," Lucia revealed sharply. "We don't tolerate mistresses stirring up trouble in this family, Harry is a charming man, and as his wife, it's your duty to keep an eye on him."
Lucia was always direct when it came to reminding Julia of her responsibilities in the marriage, Bored with such admonitions, she was relieved that Lucia wasn't there in person. She nodded in agreement. I see, Lucia, I'll make sure to watch Harry more closely." Julia thought Lucia was right about one thing-Harry was indeed a playboy.
"Actions speak louder than words, Lucia retorted. Feeling somewhat reassured by Julia's compliant tone, she added, "I need to speak with Harry."
Lucia knew her son well and was the first to suspect that Harry hadn't completely severed ties with Arya.
Concerned that Harry might face a harsh reprimand-not for his own sake, but to avoid any repercussions for herself-Julia hurried to warn him. When she called, however, it was Arya's sultry voice that sounded first. "Harry, who's calling?"
What a shameless bitch!' Julia thought, repeating Arya's words in a similar tone. The mere act of mimicking Arya made her feel nauseous.
Similarly, Harry frowned at the sound of Arya's mimicked tone. He snapped, "What's up?"
were tied up with work. She'll call "Lucia called. She wants us to come home for dinner tonight. I told her you be careful," Julia said. As she prepared to hang up, a last-minute reminder came to her. "And make sure Lucia doesn't hear you." Arya's voice on the call. If she finds out, don't expect me to cover for
