Chapter 199: Baby Blues
Giselle's POV
"Luna, are you sure about this? Are you really going to bring Ryker with you to the Shadowfang Pack?" One of my attendants asked me to make me think twice about my decision.
I had just gotten back from Killian's office after I had confronted him. We both agreed that both Ryker and I would come with him to the Shadowfang Pack.
"Of course. As his mother, I can't leave him behind here. We don't know how many days we would be staying at the Shadowfang Pack. What would Killian think of me as a mother if I could bear to leave my son behind for days?" I shot back at my attendant, who dared to question my decision.
"Luna, I don't mean it that way, but Ryker could be so intolerable sometimes. I'm just afraid that if you bring him there, he might cause trouble for you and the Alpha," The omega replied sincerely with her head bowed.
I sighed. It's one of the things that have been troubling my mind, too. If I had the choice, of course, I would rather leave this annoying kid behind.
Ever since that child was a baby, I've been tolerating all his tantrums and antics. I've never had a rest since I've had that child.
It would have been a nice vacation if I could go to the Shadowfang Pack without that child anywhere near me.
"Rhya," I called my trusted attendant, who has been in charge of taking care of Rhyker since he was a baby. "You should also pack your things. You're coming with us. I want you to take care of Ryker and make sure that he won't cause troubles for us." Rhya's eyes went wide when I suddenly called her attention. "Yes, Luna," Rhya answered curtly without any hesitations.
"Make sure you always keep your eyes on Ryker and do your job properly. If you or Ryker commit any mistakes, your life will be on the line," I warned her to make sure she'd do her job properly
"The Shadowfang Pack is a big and powerful Pack and we are going to meet a lot of powerful and important people out there. We are not just going there with our names, we would go there to represent our Pack also," I reminded her so she'd know the weight of our responsibility there.
The attendant who had questioned me first didn't dare to question me further after she heard my plans.
I glanced at Ryker, who was standing in the middle of the room, staring at me with his laser-focused eyes without any expressions on his face.
"Why are you looking at me like that?!" I snapped at him, feeling unnerved by his gaze.
However, Ryker continued to stare at me unmoved, as if he didn't understand the question I asked him.
What should I expect from a dimwit like him? Of course, he wouldn't understand anything that I said. He doesn't even know how to speak. He is born stupid and unable to comprehend anything.
"Luna, don't mind the child. It must be his autism acting up," Rhya spoke up to defend the child when she saw the anger that flared in my eyes as I stared at the little child.
I huffed in dissatisfaction and
slumped in my seat. "We are so lucky that Killian could accept him as his son even if he is born a moron.feel bad for the Pack and for Killian for giving birth to a stupid child hope someday I couldbear Kiffian another son that would be suitable to be the future Alpha of the Pack," I spoke with my brows
pressed together in worry.
Of course, the Pack needs a future Alpha, and Killian also needs an heir. Luckily, Ryker is not qualified for the Alpha position. That means my real son is going to be the Alpha.
A cunning smile crossed my lips as I fell deep into my thoughts.
I raised an eyebrow at Ryker, who kept staring at me with dead eyes.
"You are right, Luna. You are still very young. You can still bear a lot of heirs for our Alpha," one of my attendants agreed with a smile.
After waiting for just a few hours, the things we would be bringing with us to the Shadowfang Pack have been packed.
I carried Ryker in my arms while Rhya carried our luggage as I went out to meet with Killian so we could go to the Shadowfang Pack together.
"Ryker!" A bright smile instantly appeared on Killian's face when he saw his son.
He immediately took him from my arms and pecked a kiss on his son's cheek. "How have you been doing Are you excited?" Killian asked his son excitedly, even though he knew he wouldn't give him an answer.
Ryker just stared at him with the same eyes he used to stare at me earlier. However, this time, a smile crossed his features, and it was completely enough to make Killian feel satisfied.
"He doesn't show it, but I'm sure
Ryker is happy," I smiled as I joined them. "Byker has always been staying inside the Packhouse. I'm
sure he would be happy to see
something new."
Killian chuckled happily at my words. "I heard that the Shadowfang Pack is huge. I'm sure you would be happy there, son," Killian spoke to his precious child.
I stared at the joy etched in Killian's face while it lasted. I only see Killian smile and look genuinely happy when he sees his son.
Only Ryker has the power over his own father.
