Chapter 333
Chapter 333
She glanced at the screen, then immediately picked up. "Hi, boss."
"Amelia, there's a very important client for you. Check your WheeChat and accept their friend request, then get in touch with them immediately. Also, send me their contact information once you've accepted them. I'll send someone else to follow up." It was Yvonne Sommet, Amelia's boss at the law firm.
Amelia frowned when she heard this. "A very important client, yet you're going to hand this case over to someone else even though they came to me?
She did not really care about anything else but that.
At the same time, Amelia logged into her WheeChat. Just as Yvonne said, someone had sent her a friend request pending her approval. However, she was puzzled about something. Why had this client added her on her private phone number instead of her work number?
Amelia was confused about this, but she did not overthink too much and quickly approved the request. Then, she typed a message to the client to introduce herself.
"I knew you'd say that, but this isn't a divorce case. This person wants to sniff us out and hopefully will appoint us as their company's legal representative. Since you only take divorce cases, technically this isn't part of your job scope."
"But..." Amelia frowned once more. "This person isn't filing for a divorce, and yet they got in touch with me... Does this mean that they sought us out because of me?"
This was the only thing she cared about.
Yvonne chuckled. "Yes, technically, you're right."
Amelia's entire face lit up, and she immediately straightened up in excitement. "Boss, can we come to an agreement? Since this person sought us out because of me, does that mean I get a share of the money if they eventually appoint us as their company's legal representative?"
Money was the only thing Amelia cared about, and Yvonne knew this, so she replied cheerfully, "Of course. You'll get a share of the commission if they sign with us."
"Thanks, Boss. I'm so glad to hear that."
With that, Amelia hung up and returned to the WheeChat page. She had already introduced herself to the person, and she was waiting for their response.
Amelia was a divorce lawyer, and on top of that, she was outgoing and formed many connections with people from all walks of life. In the law industry, connections were of the utmost importance as they guaranteed new working opportunities.
The truth was, she was not at all surprised that someone had sought her law firm out because of her, but it was rare to get such an important client to come knocking on their own accord.
However, now that she has gotten this opportunity, she will not let it go no matter what.
Meanwhile, Dylan was scrolling through Amelia's profile in Herland. However, when he saw the photo she had placed as her background, he could not help bursting out in laughter.
It was a photo of a divorce agreement.
It was lunchtime, and since he needed to help Scott out, he had excused himself from the group and told Chandler that he needed to tend to something else. He had sent his assistant to have lunch with the group in his place.
Since Dylan had been so courteous and accommodating throughout the past few weeks, Chandler decided to cut him some slack and let him off. Not only that, but he even told Dylan that he could take the rest of the afternoon off.
After all, Dylan ran his own company. Although Chandler did not think much of that company of his, it was still tough work.
Dylan was at this moment sitting in his car after everyone had left, scrolling through Amelia's profile.
