Chapter 66 Hostess Or Maid
Chapter 66 Hostess Or Maid
Elizabeth had just picked on her this morning, and she took her place this afternoon. Then what about
her? She was new in this family anyway...
Blanca had been feeling down.
Matthew could sense that and frowned.
“Wow, are you Matthew? You’ve become so different after these years. And this is...” said the woman
wearing lots of jewelries. She was smiling and looked quite young for her age.
She acted like she just saw Blanca for the first time and was no longer cold at all.
“Mom, this is Matthew’s wife, Blanca,” Elizabeth stood up and gave a sarcastic and cold smile, pointing
at the gifts Elizabeth brought from abroad for Alan and the others.
She had always been having a crush on Matthew and wanted to give him everything she had. She
would butter his elders up every day.
“Oh, so you are Blanca...” said Mrs. Harris, smiling and nodding to Blanca. But her smile wasn’t so
sincere.
Louise was gloating. She knew the Harris family would definitely give Blanca a hard time.
“Yeah, we met before! By the way, you know I was harassed when I just got back to this country,
remember? At that time, Blanca helped me out. But then a funny thing happened.” Laughed Elizabeth.
Matthew frowned while Wilbert came downstairs and saw him, “Matthew, come with me.”
Matthew glanced at Blanca and gave her a signal. But Blanca didn’t seem to notice that.
She didn’t even know when Matthew left and then Mrs. Harris complained, “That was a close one. If it
weren’t for Blanca, you would have been...”
“Mom,” Elizabeth smiled viciously, “Yeah, I should thank her. But Mr. Grant, do you know that Blanca
has a criminal record? The police thought she was kidnapping me... But Blanca is too pretty to commit
a crime like that, right? Why would she have a criminal record? The police must have made a mistake.”
Louise chinned in and said, “You’re wrong about that. My sister-in-law was a thief before. But...We
shouldn’t talk about this anymore. We don’t want to embarrass her like that, right, Blanca?”
These two women giggled and stared at Blanca. Blanca just looked down and was emotionless.
Their laughter was quite harsh and made Blanca very uncomfortable.
She wasn’t uneasy because of her past but because of her loneliness.
She didn’t care about what others said about her.
But she felt sad when she was a total outsider and couldn’t fit in.
