Night of Destiny

Chapter 2544

She thought Harmony would be as docile as she used to be. But she’s picked up a trick or two over the years. Samantha wouldn’t give up just like that, however. She would still try to approach Ezekiel. Once she made that man hers, she would brag to Harmony.

After dinner, Harmony and Ezekiel had a stroll around. Samantha’s spies followed them. They would inform Samantha once Ezekiel was alone.

Harmony’s phone rang. It was Sera, so she took the call. “Hey, Sera.”

“Someone took a photo of you going to the hotel. The media’s making up stories now. You’re with Mr. Weiss, aren’t you?”

Harmony was surprised. “Which news outlet posted that?”

“Not sure. They followed you since you left home all the way to the Manson Hotel. Why didn’t you disguise yourself before you came out?”

Harmony frowned. She wasn’t that famous. The media wouldn’t stake out at her place. Then she realized that Samantha had shown up here all of a sudden. Obviously, Samantha followed her. She’s like a shark. A little drop of profit, and she follows it everywhere. She had seen scandals about Samantha online before. There was only one creed she followed: hound all the rich people.

Now, she was sure Samantha came for Ezekiel. First, she rented the place beside Harmony’s, and now she followed Harmony. And as if that’s not enough, she posted the story online. The sliver of friendship she had for Samantha was gone. She would never let a scheming snake hide around her. “Sera, see if you can deal with this. If you can’t, it’s alright. I don’t have to hide the fact I’m dating Ezekiel,” said Harmony.

“Ooh, calling him by his first name.” Sera chuckled.

Harmony blushed. “Can’t call him Mr. Weiss all the time.”

“I know. Broke a certain base now, so you’re changing how you call him.” Sera smiled.

Harmony hung up, smiling. Ezekiel put his arms around her waist and rested his chin on her shoulder. “Look ahead.”

Harmony looked at the billboard ahead. It was playing the jewelry ad she starred in. Ezekiel said, “You know, I stopped for a long time in Moncent just to watch this ad.”

Surprised, Harmony turned around, and her lips brushed his cheek, though she was in too much of a shock to register that. “We didn’t even know each other back then. We only met once at the hotel,”

“Do you believe in love at first sight? I never did, but now I do,” said Ezekiel honestly. He fell in love with Harmony at first sight. She had occupied his heart the moment he saw her. He was stunned by her tearful eyes when he saw her at the airport. The kiss she gave him at the hotel made his heart flutter. When he saw her on the billboard, it awed him.

And then, following his heart, he found her. Harmony blinked. This was the first time Ezekiel spoke of his feelings for her. So he fell in love with me at first sight? “Really?” Harmony didn’t believe it.

“Yeah. I’m lucky to have met you. And I know fate led us to each other. I will buy that gemstone for you,” said Ezekiel.

Harmony quickly turned around. “No. That gemstone costs more than a million. Don’t buy it. It’s too expensive.”

Ezekiel smiled. “No. That’s our token of love. I cannot let anyone else buy it.”

“What if someone else did buy it?” asked Harmony.

Ezekiel’s eyes were filled with confidence. “I can take it back for you.”

Harmony felt sweet. She knew she didn’t have to be worried about any money problems for him, but she was touched by the thought.
