Chapter 619
Chapter 619
Hudson reached out to touch Chloe's face, only to be met with a slap from her.
As he felt the sharp pang in his heart, the slap made him realize that he had lost her for good.
After the slap, Chloe simply walked away without looking back, her eyes filled with loathing toward Hudson.
In his despair, Hudson lifted his head to watch her retreating figure. He did not know how to change her mind. Perhaps they were not meant to be, and maybe he would only bring her harm if they were together, especially considering his cruel uncle.
Hudson stood in place as he watched Chloe's figure grow more distant, realizing that she had probably moved on for good.
Then, he dragged himself home, feeling numb and lost. The breeze brushed against his face, highlighting the desolation on his once-perfect features, which aroused sympathy from onlookers.
His phone rang in his pocket, but he could not be bothered to answer. When the second call came, he irritatedly retrieved his phone.
Koven?
Seeing that it was Koven calling, Hudson immediately answered.
"Hello, Koven?" Hudson heard the noisy background sounds, including the loud music, which worried him.
“Hello, is this Mr. Hudson Xender? Um... This gentleman over here has had too much to drink and passed out. Can you come pick him up?" After noticing that Koven had passed out, the bartender on the other end had no choice but to find his phone on him.
Koven's most recent call was to Hudson, so the bartender hoped that he could come to pick Koven up, seeing as many women were already trying to take him with them, claiming that he was their boyfriend.
When Hudson heard that Koven had too much to drink, he sighed in relief and asked, "What bar is this?"
"It's Honey Bar on 169 Honder Street."
"Okay, I'll be there shortly. Sorry for the trouble." Hudson hung up and hailed a cab to Honey Bar.
Hudson rarely visited bars, finding them too loud and chaotic.
As he entered the lounge area, he noticed a man anxiously waiting nearby The bartender approached Hudson who came in alone and asked, "Are you Mr. Hudson O Xender?"
"Yes, where's Koven?"
The bartender pointed toward a nearby private room and said, "He's in the second room along the hallway. You should hurry up He's completely unconscious."
"Thank you." Koven nodded in appreciation before heading toward the private room.
The bar was chaotic and noisy,
causing Hudson to furrow his brows in discomfort. Upon reaching the door of the private room, he pushed it open and found Koven slumped over the table, unconscious.
He nudged Koven's back but received no response from him.
It was then that Hudson noticed seven or eight women around Koven, leering at him with suggestive glances. One of them even had her hands all over Koven's body.
Letting out a sigh, Hudson sat down next to Koven.
