Chapter 18
Without even letting Ida get close, William pushed her away. Ida could only retreat to Joanne’s side in embarrassment.
Linda felt repulsed by her words. “Ms. Clinton, after four years, your lying skills haven’t improved, nor has your ability to make false accusations.”
She sighed and looked at Joanne. “It seems that you haven’t been educating her properly, Mrs. Wilson.”
Joanne pointed at her nose, but before she could even speak, she let out a deafening scream as the sound of her finger bones breaking could be heard.
“Linda, how dare you do this to me?”
Linda wiped her hands as if she had touched something dirty.
Ida, supporting Joanne who was in agony, didn’t forget to threaten Linda. “Linda, this is attempted murder. I can sue you.”
“Sure. Then we can also discuss your arson at the same time.” Linda remained calm, not taking them seriously at all.
Joanne, who was more experienced than Ida, could sense that Linda was different from before. She was now possibly someone they couldn’t afford to provoke.
So, she pretended to be magnanimous. “Linda, I can overlook this injury and what happened in the past.
“Four years have passed, you and William are divorced, and he and Ida are about to be engaged. As a mother, I hope you won’t disrupt our family’s happiness.
“If you think William owes you for what happened back then, the Wilsons can offer you financial compensation.”
Her words made it seem like Linda had returned to deliberately stir up trouble.
Linda, not wanting to waste time, replied, “First of all, Mrs. Wilson, let me make it clear that I never wanted anything from your son.
“Second, I’ve also expressed my well wishes for your son and goddaughter in front of the media just earlier. Finally, I cannot just forget about what happened back then. You can just await my revenge.”
She would make them pay for the life of her child, who was barely two months old.
“Linda, I advise you to give up. You’re no longer the Linda that used to be pampered. You can’t win against the Wilson family.” Joanne threatened her just like how she used to before.
“Then, let’s wait and see.”
At this moment, Wendy’s,car arrived, and Linda got in without looking back.
“Ms. Felix, was that your ex–husband?” This was Wendy’s first time seeing William in person.
“Yes.” Linda lowered her head while texting Samson and Chloe.
“He’s nothing special. Mr. Lynch is more handsome than him.”
Linda nodded and said, “Your boss is indeed good–looking. I would’ve cast him as the leading actor in my last film if he were willing.”
“Mr. Lynch is exactly the type that young women like these days. Plus, he’s rich.”
He was every fangirl’s dream guy.
“Talk to Lina about it. If she can convince Samson to join the entertainment industry, I guarantee he’ll be a hit Wendy shook her head. “Forget it. I wouldn’t dare.”
At that moment, Linda received Samson’s reply. “Okay. I’ll send Chloe back to the hotel and come discuss with with you further.”
Chloe had also texted her back. “Don’t worry about me, sis. I’ve gotten used to it after all those years in Idaly.”
Linda replied with a simple “Okay” to both, then contacted YK Media’s public relations department.
That night’s events were sure to make tomorrow’s headlines, and she needed to be prepared, lest they beat her to it.
She had returned this time for revenge been in vain.
If she couldn’t play this game well, all her suffering would have.
Joanne, Ida, Tom’s family, and every single person who was involved–she would make them pay!
