Chapter 3247
Meanwhile, Patricia sat in Ellar's car, looking concerned. "What's so urgent that we had to discuss it now?" she asked, worry flickering in her eyes.
His call had sounded serious, leading her to believe something bad had occurred.
To her surprise, Ellar handed her an invitation and said, "It's about Stanley's wedding. You're invited."
As she opened it and saw her name, she bit her lip slightly. 'So, it wasn't that I hadn't been given an invitation; it was with Ellar all along.' "Come with me, be my date. Let’s attend together," Ellar said, his eyes earnestly hoping for her acceptance.
Patricia hesitated, still biting her lip as she held the invitation.
"I know you're not used to wearing evening gowns. You can wear whatever you like. If you're worried about what others might think, I won't wear a suit either," Ellar quickly added, seeing her hesitation.
Hearing this, Patricia looked at Ellar with a complex expression. Due to her work, she rarely wore dresses or high heels, but she hadn't expected EIlar to notice these details.
"I’ll be ready to attend," Patricia said, accepting the invitation.
"Thank you!" Ellar was thrilled, stepping on the accelerator to drive off.
"Where are we going?" Patricia was a bit puzzled.
"To have lunch, of course,” Ellar responded cheerfully.
"I didn't agree to have lunch with you," Patricia said as she thought, 'He only mentioned he needed to see me, and that’s why I came down.' "No worries, I'll bring you back after lunch," Ellar assured her
with a smile," It won't affect your work later."
After having lunch together, Ellar indeed brought Patricia back, just in time to run into Nicole and Lulu.
"Patricia, what's that in your hand?" Lulu asked, feigning curiosity. She had pretty much guessed what it was already.
"An invitation," Patricia could only respond truthfully, "Ellar brought it over." "Oh, so you were on a date with Ellar just now," Lulu said, feigning a sudden realization.
"It wasn't a date. He just brought the invitation to me," Patricia clarified with a hint of embarrassment.
"Okay, he came to deliver the invitation," Lulu said with a laugh.
Despite Lulu's casual remark, Patricia felt her cheeks warm up and her gaze shift away under Lulu's amused look.
"Alright, stop teasing her," Nicole couldn't help but give Lulu a look, reminding Lulu about her previous advice.
"Hehe, let's go inside," Lulu said, linking arms with Nicole, her smile all appeasing. It was just a joke, after all; she would stop mentioning it.
Nicole shook her head with a light chuckle, gesturing for Patricia to come inside the company with them.
The day of Stanley and Tia's wedding arrived.
Holding a traditional Hustuaburgian wedding wasn't common, so Stanley and Tia's ceremony attracted a lot of attention in San Joto.
The invited guests were eager to witness the event, while onlookers could only hope to catch a glimpse of the grand occasion.
Tia, adorned in a traditional Hustuaburgian wedding gown tailored by Mrs. Wallace Sr., was overjoyed to become Stanley's wife. The continuous blessings from the guests and the couple's radiant happiness filled the air, painting a picture of their bright future together.
