Chapter 457 Kissed Janet
When the scene was deadlocked, Chitt suddenly stood up.
He didn’t want to embarrass Jill, and he didn’t want that bastard Nathaniel to get close
to her!
A qualified ex was supposed to disappear instead of popping up from time to time.
When Chitt picked up the wine and was about to drink, a bony hand held his arm down.
Nathaniel stood up, passed Janet, and looked at Chitt with burning eyes. The corners of
his lips slightly twisted with ferocity.
“Thank you for your kindness, Mr. Floyd. However, I’m not used to people getting
ahead of me.”
Nathaniel took a deep look at Chitt, then suddenly lowered his head and leaned over to
kiss Janet.
Janet’s breathing stopped for a moment, and her mind went blank.
She could only vaguely feel a tall and generous figure blocking the glare of the overhead
light, enveloping her with the strong aroma like a peacock in heat, which she had just
commented on.
Nathaniel held her cheek lightly in his hand, and his rough fingertips rubbed her skin nonchalantly, arou
sing waves in her heart.
Janet’s long eyelashes were like a small trembling fan, lightly sweeping across
Nathaniel’s tall nose. Nathaniel could still feel her deer–like frightened gaze even with
eyes closed.
his
All the people in the private room were dumbfounded and looked at each other for two
or three seconds. Earth–
shaking cheers erupted in the private room, and the screams of the three drunkards who booed were in
credibly intense.
But no shrill scream could have been more shocking than the sight.
Chitt’s fists were tightly clenched by his side, his nails dug deep into his palms, and blood marks were d
rawn out.
How dared he go after her like that?
“Stop!”
Chitt pushed Nathaniel away.
Nathaniel seemed to be doing it on purpose and wiped his lower lip with his fingertips.
“I think Mr. Floyd overreacted.”
Chitt’s Adam’s apple rolled up and down sharply twice, and his tone was serious. “Mr. Webster, stop it!”
Nathaniel looked away disdainfully and glanced at Janet from the corner of his eyes.
Janet calmed down her messy breathing, and her heart beat like a drum.
That kiss from Nathaniel just now was false.
When he touched her face, he put his thumb between their lips and blocked the lower half of their faces
with his shoulders.
The kiss was fake, but the throbbing in Janet’s heart was real.
Janet picked up the cup
and drank a big sip of iced lemon water. The tense shoulders and
back finally eased.
Fortunately, he didn’t embarrass her.
Nathaniel could see Janet’s joyful sigh of relief. He lowered his eyes and silently let out a
bitter smile.
Should he be happy? He finally guessed her mind once tonight.
But why did his heart hurt when he saw her happy expression?
After going through such a round of fearful challenges, Mike no longer dared to make a fuss and sat qui
etly drinking water.
Janet’s heart seemed to be stuffed with feathers, and she could no longer maintain the peace on the su
rface. She gestured to Marco. “Go and settle the bill.”
She got up first, said a few concluding remarks perfunctorily, carried her bag, and
walked out.
“Where do you live? It’s a bit late now. Shall I take you back?”
Chitt walked up behind Janet.
“Janet, come with me. I’ll see you off.”
Nathaniel walked over with a suit jacket draped over his forearms, His neckline was
opened to reveal a clear collarbone. A slightly drunken blush on his stern face, adding a
bit of romantic and lazy temperament.
Chitt took a step back in disgust and slapped his nose with his hand. “You smell like a drunk. Are you tr
ying to drive after driving?”
With one hand in his pocket, Nathaniel inexplicably had a tinge of red at the end of his
eyes after being drunk, wantonly evil. “I have a driver, and I will be responsible for
Janet’s safety. It’s none of your business.”
The corners of his mouth curled up slightly, and the redness at the end of his eyes
seemed to come alive, which was very seductive. “Besides, I know Janet’s address
very well. You have just returned home, so I’m afraid you don’t even know the
way.”
Chitt was a little angry. Nathaniel was a tough nut to crack. How could he get rid of him?
“Ms. Longfellow is a single woman. It would be too frivolous for Mr. Webster to say you
are familiar with her residence without any scruples.”
