My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul

Chapter 1671

The opportunity was rare and vital for future promotions. Making a lasting impression on Joe was paramount.

"Did Mr. Martin say anything?" one of the male colleagues asked.

Priscilla shook her head. "I told Mr. Martin about the meeting in 15 minutes. He didn't say much, just nodded. The coffee I made was also according to Mr. Ziegler's instructions, so there shouldn't be any issues."

"Good to hear. Mr. Ziegler will be away on business for two months. The three of us need to handle everything seamlessly. If there are any ideas or concerns, let's make sure to communicate openly," the second male colleague said.

Priscilla smiled and said, "Our skills speak for themselves. This is our chance to prove what we're capable of. Let's not disappoint Mr. Ziegler." Nor should they disappoint Joe. Two months was neither too long nor too short.

Priscilla glanced at her carefully manicured hands. The nail art, a design she had chosen herself, gleamed under the light. Skylar couldn't possibly maintain nails like these. Working with antiques daily, her hands were likely rough and worn-not soft, delicate, and fair like Priscilla's.

She would make sure to seize this opportunity.

Later that day, everyone gathered to celebrate Janine's birthday.

A few years ago, Janine and Ted had moved into a large villa to accommodate their growing family. With Steven's two kids and Vivian, the extra space was necessary.

The yard had swings, a slide, and small tracks for the kids' tricycles. Inside, three rooms were dedicated to the children, along with several guest rooms—ready for when Charles and Harvey eventually married and had families of their own.noveldrama

The children gathered together to play, while Skylar and Joe chatted with Steven and the others.

"I saw your post on Instagram. Is your new book being adapted into a TV series?" Skylar asked Mona.

Mona had two children, but she still

maintained herself well. She had

matured over the years, her

resilience evident in the way she balanced motherhood and her career.

While Mona devoted significant effort to her children, she continued to write and steadily sold the rights to her books.

"Yes," Mona replied with a smile. "Two months ago, I finalized the copyright deal. I heard you've been busy lately, working late. You should take care of yourself."

She paused before adding, "Have you thought about where to take Vivian for summer vacation?"

Skylar shook her head. "I've been so busy lately. I haven't had time to plan."

"We're thinking of taking the kids to an island Why don't we go together? The kids would have a blast, and I

have some free time now to plan it," Mona said, her excitement evident.

Skylar glanced at Joe, who nodded in agreement. A family trip sounded perfect, especially since Vivian adored spending time with her cousins. Steven and Mona had raised their children well. They were very protective of Vivian.

"Sounds good! We've talked about going on a trip together for ages. Let's make it happen this time," Skylar said, smiling.

"By the way, where's Harvey? He's not here yet," Charles asked, munching on an apple as he scanned the room.

Janine smiled. "Harvey just texted me. He's bringing a friend and got stuck in traffic, so he'll be a bit late."

"A friend?" Charles raised an eyebrow. "Could it be a girlfriend? He always insists he's not interested in dating or marriage."

The thought of being the only single one in the family made Charles uneasy. He could already imagine Janine pressuring him to settle down.

Janine chuckled. "You know how

stubborn your brother is. When l asked him recently, he said he didn't have a girlfriend. But who knows? Maybe he's bringing someone special for my birthday."
