That sound made Colin's eyebrow twitch involuntarily.

As soon as the other end finished talking, Colin was concerned about Carlotta might overhear the

conversation, so he lightly patted Faye's shoulder and got up to answer the call.

A brief pause on Colin's end led the caller to feel elated, thinking that he was waiting for her response.

Before Colin could reach the second floor, he heard the woman on the phone feigning a tone, "Mr.

Farrell, I am your anchor, Amelia Parker. Do you have time tonight? I'd like to invite you for coffee."

Upon hearing that, Colin halted in his tracks.

Amelia Parker?

The name sounded familiar to Colin.

Not because of the unconventional gift she had sent, but because Faye had mentioned that name

before.

Colin turned to look at Faye.

Faye was engrossed in conversation with Carlotta. When she noticed that Colin was gazing at her, she

turned around.

Colin mouthed, "Honey, come over."

Seeing that, Faye turned back to Carlotta and said, "Carlotta, give me a moment. I need to talk to

Colin."

Carlotta smiled gently and said, "Go ahead."

Faye got up and walked toward Colin. On the steps, Colin leaned down to whisper in her ear, "It's

Amelia."

Faye tilted her head and looked up. Colin suddenly smiled, "She's quite audacious."

While Colin was speaking to Faye, Amelia, who was on the phone didn't stop at all. She was playfully

teasing Colin with a shy and flirtatious tone.

"Mr. Farrell, did you receive that nightgown?"

"Do you like it?"

Amelia tried to act coy over the phone and asked, "Mr. Farrell, do you have time tonight?"

As Amelia spoke, Colin intentionally moved the phone closer to Faye's ear.

After Amelia finished speaking, Colin raised an eyebrow at Faye and said, "Honey?"

While Faye listened to Amelia's words, she didn't get angry and she was smiling instead. Her red lips

moved and said, "It's coming to you. Take care of it."

With that, Faye reached out and hooked the collar of Colin's shirt, pulling it down.

Colin naturally leaned down and lowered his head. Then, Faye whispered near his ear, "Dear, do you

still think you're the previous Mr. Farrell?"

Colin chuckled softly and asked in a low voice, "Am I not?"

"If my answer is yes, are you brave enough to admit it?" Faye's words trailed off, and she leaned

forward slightly, biting Colin's ear with her red lips lightly.

Colin let out a soft "hiss" and the hand around Faye's waist tightened suddenly.

Faye released her bite, blew warm air against Colin's ear, and said, "Handle it properly."

Colin nodded and assured her, "Don't worry, honey."

A smile appeared at the corner of Faye's lips and she said, "I'll go keep Carlotta company first."

Colin replied, "Go ahead."

Faye turned and headed downstairs.

Colin brought the phone back to his ear, and the person on the other end was still speaking in a sweet

and coy manner.

"Mr. Farrell, did you even hear what I said?"

Colin's tone became serious and answered, "I've been busy lately. I don't have any time."

Upon hearing that, Amelia was overjoyed beyond words. Since Colin hadn't refused, it was a sort of

indirect acceptance of her.

Amelia could barely conceal her excitement and she asked further, "Then, when will you have time?"

Colin shifted the topic and said, "I heard there's a transformation for the anchor role recently. I'd like

you to be the pioneer of this transformation."

Amelia's emotions were beyond excitement now. She asked, "Is... that alright? What if Ms. Nash finds

out, I'm afraid..."

Before Amelia could finish her sentence, Colin interrupted in a stern tone, "I have something to attend

to right now. Robert will contact you."

Colin hung up the phone and immediately dialed Robert's number.

Once the call was connected, Robert greeted, "Mr. Farrell."

"Are you at the office?"

"I'm addressing you as Mr. Farrell. What do you think?"

Colin scoffed lightly, "I need you to handle something for me."

Robert responded, "Please go ahead."

"In the anchor department, there's a female anchor named Amelia Parker. Since we're planning a

transformation for the anchors, I want her to be the pioneer of this transition."

Robert felt curious and asked, "Do you know her?"

Colin mocked, "No."

Robert quickly understood the implication in Colin's words and replied, "Understood."

Colin continued, "You know how to proceed next, right? I don't have to instruct you?"

Robert chuckled, "No need. I'll do my best to provide her with the best resources for this transition."

Colin sneered, "Beat the dog before the lion and prevent future problems."

"Understood."

Meanwhile, Faye and Carlotta were chatting while holding hands.

Faye asked about Carlotta's recent experiences during pregnancy. With a mix of happiness and

helplessness, Carlotta said, "I think this child must be quite lazy. Ever since I got pregnant, I've been

feeling drowsy all the time. I can take several naps in a day."

Faye comforted, "These are all normal reactions."

Carlotta smiled with narrowed eyes, gently touched her abdomen, and changed the topic. She looked

at Faye and asked, "Is everything prepared for the wedding?"

A touch of tenderness appeared unconsciously in Faye's eyes, "Everything's ready."

When Carlotta saw the way that Faye was looking at Colin, she couldn't help but feel moved.

After dinner, Carlotta didn't stay overnight. Jadon came over to pick her up.

Colin and Faye sent Carlotta off. Jadon took a piece of clothing from the car and draped it over

Carlotta.

Carlotta made a face of disdain and pushed the clothing away, "What month is it now? Why do I still

need to wear a coat?"

Jadon was persistent in coaxing her, "It doesn't matter what month it is. The weather is fine during the

day, but it can get chilly in the morning and evening. Listen to me, put it on."

Carlotta was always obedient. She put on the coat and got into the car. Just before getting in, she

muttered, "Can you please be a little more mindful in front of the younger generation in the future? After

all, we are the elders..."

Jadon softly retorted, "Who said elders can't dote on their wives?"

Carlotta glared at him.

Seeing her reaction, Jadon dared not make another peep. He closed the car door and walked to the

driver's seat.

Colin and Faye could clearly hear Jadon's conversation with Carlotta as they stood by the car.

Their fingers intertwined. When they saw Jadon was approaching, they were smiling but didn't say a

word.

Jadon cleared his throat, lowered his voice, and said, "Why are you laughing? You two little rascals."

Colin and Faye exchanged glances, their smiles becoming even more unabashed.

After a while, Jadon left with Carlotta. Colin and Faye also headed back home.

Suddenly, Faye remembered the phone call before dinner and turned her head to look at Colin, "Did

you handle the matter you mentioned today?"

A smile glinted in Colin's eyes and he said, "Guess."

Faye raised her eyebrow playfully and asked, " You want me to guess?"

Colin pulled Faye into his embrace and replied, "Not only did I handle it, but I also ensured that it won't

cause any future trouble. No one will dare to have any intentions on your man in the future."

Faye chuckled, "How did you manage that?"

Colin's voice grew deeper and explained, "Remember how you mentioned wanting the anchors in the

company to transition? The next day, I had Robert start working on it. He contacted several agricultural

product factories and as per your suggestion, we will start doing product endorsements."

"Go on."

Colin continued with a slight amusement tone, "I'm planning to have Amelia endorse the agricultural

products directly from the source."

At the same time, Robert was on the phone with an agricultural product company.

After hearing Robert's request, the person on the other end was taken aback, "Robert, nowadays most

farmers use machinery for cultivation. It's not very practical to have your company's anchor personally

engage in farming..."

Robert's voice remained calm and composed, "Where there's a will, there's a way. We'd like to see if

Mr. Carson can help us with that."

The person on the other end asked curiously, "Robert, if I may ask, what's the purpose behind this?"

"To beat the dog before the lion."
