Chapter 18
Chapter 18
This gang of fools Seeing them going out, Fiona came up to enquire, "Did grandma wake up?"
The servant shook her head with a worried look.
"Old madam is still ina coma."
"So I'm right."
Fiona raised the corner of her mouth coldly.
"If you are really that excellent an expert, how come you never get any place in the rank of medical institution?"
Only having scratched the surface of, this girl should have dared to teach fish how to swim. She was just making fool of herself.
Annette just kept silent.
Taking on a ghastly expression, the fourth son of Lancaster showed the police the direction of Annette with his jaw, "This so-called doctor is a charlatan, get her arrested!"
Looking at the police, who had been waiting there for long, coming toward her, she still wore a nonchalant look, having her hands in the pockets.
She always appeared that idle and casual while being arrogant and unbridled inside.
The police took out the handcuffs.
Veromca protected Annette with his arms and said in a stony deep voice, glancing through everyone with his sharp eyes, "A charlatan? Any evidence?"
Fiona snorted, "Even after her needle treatment and blood releasing, grandma is still in a coma now.Isn't she a fraud? What else could she be?"
"Fiona, no need to waste time with them.Get inside for the operation at once."
Selina then turned to the police, "Arrest the charlatan."
"Who dares!"
Veromca looked so firm and fierce. His brother, the fourth son of Lancaster family, took on a grim look.
"I dare! Veromca, don't forget you've been expelled from this family for twenty years. And you are not in the position to meddle in the affairs of the Lancasters!"
"You...!"
The color of Veromca’s face couldn't look worse.
Glancing at Annette, who was watching all these as though it had nothing to do with her, Veromca felt so weak and tired -- It was she who was facing the arrest, and how could she act so nonchalantly? He wondered whether he was worrying about the unnecessary.
Fiona made a little pause when passing Annette.
"To wake up within one hour and recover within two days? Well, you just have overreached yourself."
Fiona squinted at her with contempt.
After saying that, she kept on toward the room.
The fourth son of Lancaster said impatiently, "Hurry up! Take her away! Lancaster House doesn't welcome the wrong guest."
Veromca found his brother's words so ridiculous that he almost wanted to laugh. No wonder Annette never feared to be known as what she really was.Because no one would believe.
Who would believe the legendary doctor all the clans with great clouts were vying to contact was only a girl of seventeen.
What a gang of fools they were! Veromca took a deep breath and contained his anger, then looked at Annette. She was still keeping her composure.
OK, that was the very style of a real mogul.
Having moved around Veromca, the police attempted to catch Annette with his handcuffs.
Annette tapped her fingers inside the pocket and counted to three, when the door of old Mrs Lancaster opened to reveal Waynett who was walking out.
Fiona was rooted to the spot with her hand frozen in the air at seeing Waynett.
She accidentally saw the view inside the room: the army medics were leaning down to talk to the person on the bed.
And old Mrs Lancaster's had opened her eyes, though not widely enough.
She had obviously regained consciousness.
Fiona stared at that with great shock.
How could it be possible! With a deep frown, she trotted into the room as she really couldn't believe her own eyes.
How was it possible that Grandma should have become conscious simply in virtue of acupuncture without any brain operation even from a serious coma? She just couldn't believe a single thing she saw!
