Chapter 98
After resolving the conflict within the crew, Horace personally apologized to Camille along with a few producers.
Π
“Mina Camille, it was my oversight that led to this farce. I sincerely apologize,” Horace said as he bowed to Camille.
Camille looked panicked, and she quickly waved her hands.
“No, no, it was my own fault for not handling my relationship with everyone well. How could it be your fault, Mr. Timm?” she stammered.
He was a famous director. It was shocking that he was apologizing to her like
this.
She wondered what kind of power Dustin possessed to humble the “Steely Director” himself.
This completely shattered her understanding of the world.
The first day of filming The Legend of the Swordsman 4 ultimately ended with the entire crew being restructured.
In the evening, Dustin and Simone took Camille to a food truck to cheer her up.
“Dustin, Simone, I know I’m a newcomer, and I don’t have any experience, but I also want to seize this opportunity…” Camille said dejectedly.
“Camille, if you want to survive in the entertainment industry, there’s still a lot you need to learn,” Dustin said seriously.
He did not work in the industry, but he understood that it was a highly complex setting.
Acting skills were not always the most important thing..
Camille nodded thoughtfully.
At some point, the area around the food truck became quiet.
Dustin frowned as he glanced toward the street.
A large group of people was approaching from a distance.
ChapterThey looked hostile and imposing.
Dustin narrowed his eyes.
The person who led the group was a thug with dyed yellow hair.
He held a baseball bat over his shoulder and had a woman in another arm.
Dustin recognized the woman. It was Rachel who had insulted Camille earlier that day.
Clearly, she held the grudge and had come back to seek revenge.
The people around the food truck had fled. Even the owner had gone into hiding. Dozens of people from the group surrounded the place.
Simone held her phone. She wanted to call the police.
“If you dare call the police, I’ll kill you!” The yellow–haired guy arrogantly pointed his bat at Simone with a scowl.
Rachel sneered as she walked near the food truck.
“We meet again,” she said coldly as she glared at Dustin and Camille.
“Mr. Fox, you were pretty impressive at the film set today. Let’s see if you can still act tough here,” she said mockingly.
Dustin’s status had to be quite high. Otherwise, Horace would not have treated him so respectfully.
A single word from Horace had shattered her dreams of becoming a star.
After struggling for years, she had finally made it to the fringes of the industry. Her acting was not bad. She had finally landed a role in The Legend of the Swordsman 4 with a few scenes.
She wanted to further her career with this series, but suddenly, Camille had swooped in and taken the lead role. She was downgraded to play the second female lead and then demoted further to a supporting role.
It was only because she was furious that she had lashed out at Camille at the studio.
Dustin’s arrival had humiliated her, and she lost all her dignity. Her acting career was destroyed.
She did not care about anything anymore She just wanted revenge.
The yellow–haired guy was her boyfriend. He had connections in the underground.
After he heard her story, he flew into a rage and gathered dozens of people to go
after Dustin.
“Mr. Fox, you’re impressive, but everyone has their own talent. Can you really handle people from my world?” Rachel asked teasingly.
Even a big fish could struggle in a small pond.
She did not believe that Dustin would be able to defend against dozens of people whom her boyfriend had brought to confront him in Rivenesco.
