Alicia was more than willing to accept Edmond's challenge.
Since Edmond Agos wanted to cheat on her with different women every day, he wouldn't bother her for a while.
She didn't need to worry about a man who didn't care about his health.
However, to her surprise, when she went to the office the next morning, she saw Edmond sitting with five of the CEO's secretaries, chatting and laughing.
His tall and slender figure, accentuated by a white shirt and suit pants, made him look like a refined bastard. When he narrowed his charming eyes, those secretaries were enchanted.
Oh, this man was the embodiment of temptation.
"Young Master Ed, if you take over the company, I'm willing to work here for ten years, even if you don't pay me."
"Then I would like to visit you here every day from now on." Edmond replied.
"Young Master Ed, what brand of coffee do you like? I make the best coffee. Would you like to have a taste?"
"As long as it's made by you, I like it."
Alicia almost vomited.
Who was Edmond trying to disgust with his cheesy playboy behavior?!
Soon Alicia realized that Edmond was deliberately trying to disgust her.
Shortly after she started her busy work, Edmond left. But he came back to the office the next morning, again and again. Each time he flirted with a few secretaries before leaving.
And it seemed that he didn't feel enough. Every night after work, he would take two or three of the secretaries out to dinner.
In just two days, all the secretaries in the CEO's office had gone out with Edmond.
Friday morning...
As soon as Alicia arrived at the office, she heard several women in the pantry discussing who should go to dinner with Edmond tonight.
It sounded like they were the royal mistresses of an ancient kingdom, arguing over who deserved the king's favor tonight.
Edmond was a little late today. As he stepped out of the elevator, before those enthusiastic secretaries could call him "Young Master Ed," Alicia opened her door and shouted.
"Edmond Agos! Get your ass in here!"
All the secretaries were stunned.
Alicia's tone sounded a little angry. The secretaries dared not say anything else and quickly lowered their heads to concentrate on their own work.
Edmond strolled into their office with his hands in his pockets. He had a prudent appearance, but his walking posture was lazy, giving off a playful vibe.
Alicia found it difficult to reconcile the image of this man with his profession as a doctor. It was too contradictory.
"Since you seem to like these secretaries so much, why don't you just take over the company?" she suggested.
"I'm not interested," Edmond replied.
"Every day you come into my office to chat and flirt with these beautiful women before you go to work. Don't you find it annoying? Or maybe you could take them to your hospital and make them your assistants."
Sitting across from Alicia at the desk, Edmond played with her exclusive pen, wearing a meaningful smile.
Alicia glanced at his hand as he twirled the pen. His fingers were attractive, with pronounced knuckles. As he played with her pen, the veins on the back of his hand protruded slightly, reminding her of that time when his touch had turned her on...
"Women that I don't have to be responsible for are more fun to play with."
Then Alicia snapped out of her thoughts. She realized she had been daydreaming about his hand for no reason, and her breathing became erratic.
She pursed her lips nervously and replied casually, "Well, that makes sense."
Edmond noticed her expression and grinned. He put her pen back in its holder and said, "The company has recently arranged for new employees to participate in competitive reality shows. Reserve a spot for Diane."
Alicia had almost forgotten Diane.
Unable to contain her curiosity, she asked, "If you like Diane so much, why are you still flirting with other girls? Didn't you think about how hurt she would feel?"
Edmond looked at Alicia with a faint smile and replied, "You are so considerate of my lover. If you were born into an ancient royal family, you would definitely be a qualified queen."
"No, that's not necessarily true. If I were born in ancient times and became a queen, I would have a room full of men composing poems and music for me every day. I wouldn't be foolishly waiting to share a husband with other women," she said, looking at him with provocation and contempt in her eyes.
Edmond chuckled, "Is that so? It has been many days and I have not seen a man by your side. It seems you are not as popular as you claim."
Alicia knew that he was provoking her.
Just as she rolled her eyes coldly, the door to her office suddenly opened. Someone entered and then she heard a soft male voice.
"Licia, I know you're a workaholic and you always forget to eat on time. So I brought you breakfast today. Oh, am I interrupting something? Who is it?"
