73• His Anger
A few weeks passed like this, and Reyna took good care of her monster till he recovered. She didn’t let him step out of her house until he got perfectly fine.
Their relationship was becoming stronger and unbreakable with each passing day. They were living the best days of life with each other. Cole never imagined that his life would be so beautiful or someone would ever love him like her. Every single day he thanked God for blessing him with an Angel like Reyna. No one in this world had ever loved somebody as much as she did him. Whatever she did, she did for him.
With time, Ethan became accustomed to catching them smooching. When he caught them, he just walked away quietly, shaking his head in disbelief. He never thought that his best friend would date his sister and that he would have to deal with it every day, but he was grateful that his naive sister had a partner like Cole in her life who would always protect her, and that his best friend had a partner like Reyna who would never hurt him and would love him with all her heart. He was overjoyed and relieved for both of them.
“Ethan, I’m inviting some guests for dinner tonight.” As Reyna told Ethan while having lunch with him, his brows narrowed in confusion. He had no notion what was going on in his sister’s little mind.
“Guests? Who?” Ethan picked up the glass of water to drink.
“Cole’s Dad and Mom.” As she told him, playing with her fingers nervously, the water spat out of his mouth in shock.
“What did you just say?” He asked her in disbelief.
“That I’m inviting his Mom.” She again told him in a low voice.
“Just drop your plan, Reyna. It’s not a good idea at all. You know how much he despises his mother. He will freak out.” Ethan tried to explain to her.
“I know, but his mother deserves a second chance, Ethan. I met her,”
“You met her? Why? Why are you doing this, Reyna?” He asked solemnly.
“I want to reunite his family, Ethan. Cole has no idea his mother loves him.” She tried to explain to him.
“Nothing can justify the fact that she abandoned him. Don’t do it, Reyna; it could cause a rift between you two.” Ethan tried to explain to her. He became concerned about his sister because she was taking a huge risk, and he knew his best friend better than anyone else. He knew he wouldn’t like it at all and lost his temper, perhaps causing an issue between them.
“It won’t. I know how to handle him. Don’t worry. I just need your support right now, please.” She made a cute puppy face to convince him. She had complete faith in her love that he would always understand her and if he became furious, she would undoubtedly soothe him down with her love.
“No, I’m not going to support you in this.” He refused it in a stern tone, shaking his head and raising his hands in the air.
“Ethan, I’m doing this for him. He deserves his mother’s love. Let me try please.” She stared at him pleadingly.
“Okay, but I still think you should reconsider your decision.” He gave her advice.
“I have decided, I’m ready to do this.” She stated with determination after standing up.
‘I just hope it doesn’t create any problem between them. I’m worried because Cole won’t like this.’ He thought, staring at Reyna anxiously.
“Don’t worry, Ethan, I’m going to handle everything.” She reassured him, blinking her eyes.

Cole came back from the office after winding up his work. As he stepped into Reyna’s room, his eyes widened in surprise because he found his Kiddo getting ready, standing in front of the mirror, and she looked stunning in the elegant black slim-fit gown. He was entranced by her beauty, and his gaze stopped at her gorgeous face.
She noticed his gaze in the mirror and smiled while wearing red lipstick. He was tempted to taste her red lipstick. He approached her and they both gazed into each other’s eyes through the mirror. They got tranquilly in each other’s eyes and became hooked to it.
“Are we going somewhere, love?” He asked after standing behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist from behind and putting his chin on her shoulder.
“Nope, I have invited someone to dinner, so you also get ready.” She placed the lipstick on the dressing table and told him after turning towards him.
“Who have you invited to dinner?” He inquired, and his brows furrowed in confusion.
“You’ll get to know, so just get ready.”
“I’ll get ready. First, just let me admire my girl properly.” He said, looking at her from head to toe before snaking his arm around her and yanking her towards him.
“You look stunning, love. If I sent a photo of you to heaven, so many angels would be ashamed to see your beauty.” He whispered in her ear, and a smile appeared on her face. With his words, he always made her feel exquisitely gorgeous.
“Cole, they can arrive any moment. You should get ready.” She tried to break free from his arms, but he tightened his grip even more.
“Nope.” He shook his head and nuzzled her neck.
“Baby, please romance afterwards.” She tried to push him away.
“At least I can get one kiss.” As he pouted at her like a baby, she smiled widely.
‘He calls me kiddo, and he acts like one sometimes! But I adore his baby side.” She thought with a smile on her face.
“Okay.” As she agreed, he closed his eyes and waited for her to kiss him.
She pecked his lips and rushed towards the door after pushing him away. He glared at her.
She stopped at the door and left after saying, “Come downstairs after getting ready, I’m waiting for you.”
“This girl makes me dance on her tiny finger, and I love it.” He chuckled and went to the washroom to get fresh after taking off his coat and hurling it on the sofa.

She strolled towards the dining table where Ethan was already seated.
“Have you told Cole about the guests you have invited to dinner?” He inquired as she settled down.
She just shook her head and admitted, “I’m afraid now.”
“He’ll freak out, but I know my sister is gonna handle him. So don’t worry.” He reassured her, blinking his eyes, and gave her much-needed strength.
“I love you, Ethan.” She rested her head on his chest, smiling contentedly, and he kissed her head.
Cole came downstairs, decked up in a grey hoodie, black denim jacket and black rugged jeans. As he saw Ethan and Reyna, he smiled and strolled towards them.
“I’m gonna punish you for not giving me a kiss, Little devil.” He sat beside Reyna and whispered in her ear, making her eyes widen in shock.
“When the guests are arriving, Reyna?” Ethan asked, drawing their attention.
“They have just arrived and now parking the car,” Reyna told him.
“Did she tell you about the guests?” Cole asked Ethan.
“They’re here,” Reyna said, looking at the door as Cole’s parents arrived.
His brow furrowed and he clenched his fists in rage as he saw his mother approaching them with his father.
“What the fuck is she doing here?” Cole yelled, standing up and slamming his hands on the table, making Reyna flinch. She composed herself and stood up while he was killing his mother with his looks.
“Cole, calm down.” She tried to relax him, rubbing his bicep.
“Did you invite her?” He questioned in a serious tone after shifting his angry gaze towards her.
“First listen to me,”
He asked again darkly, cutting her words. “Just tell me what I’m asking you. Did you invite her?”
As she nodded, he slightly pushed her away in anger. “Fuck! I just can’t believe it.” He cursed and stormed out from there.
“Cole…” She rushed behind him.
Ethan closed his eyes and hoped that his sister would handle his best friend’s ire and make him understand. He already knew that he would only react like this, so he warned her sister earlier, but she didn’t listen because she only wanted to give Cole both his mother’s and father’s affection, and she wasn’t wrong.
“I shouldn’t have come here, James. He’ll never forgive me because I don’t deserve his forgiveness.” His mother cried in James’s arms.
“Mia, he’ll accept you.” James consoled her, rubbing her back.

“Cole, stop. Please listen to me.” She tried to halt him by grabbing his wrist from behind.
“Fucking leave my hand.” As he roared at her indignantly, she immediately let go of his hand and tears streamed down her cheeks; this was the first time since they began dating that he had yelled at her in this way.
He rushed over to his bike and sat down.
He was out of his mind after seeing his mother in front of his eyes, whom he had hated his entire life, and the love of his life was the only one who had invited her, and that fucking shit was hurting him terribly.
‘I’m not going to give up on him easily. I want to explain to him why I did this, and I know he will understand me, but first I have to stop him anyhow.’ She hurried towards him and sat behind him when he was just about to start his bike after wearing the helmet.
“Get down off the bike right now, Reyna.” He shouted at her, clenching the handlebars.
“No, I’m not going to leave you like this alone. You need me right now.” She said stubbornly, hugging him from behind and slipping her hands into his jacket’s pockets.
“Need you? I don’t fucking want to see your face. Just get lost, Reyna. I fucking don’t want you to be with me.” He tried to take her hands out of his jacket and said something in the heat of anger that he was going to regret later. He hurt his kiddo with his words.
“Please, don’t say it like that. At least listen to me.” She hugged him even tighter, refusing to leave him despite his harsh words because she loved him and knew that once he calmed down, he would listen to her and understand her.
“Fine!” He gave up and rode off.
He was riding recklessly in anger while she was shedding silent tears. She wanted to explain the things to him, but she knew right now in his anger he wouldn’t understand, that’s why she was quiet.
‘How could she call her? She knows I fucking despise seeing her face. She spoiled everything today. I’m not going to forgive her for doing this because she hasn’t done right.’ All these things were going on in his head and he was getting angrier.
“Cole, please slow down.” She tried to calm him down with her words as he increased the speed of his bike.
“Just shut the fuck up. I don’t want to hear your voice.” He shouted and accelerated the bike even more. His harsh words shattered her heart, and she sobbed.
She didn’t expect him to react this way. She didn’t know how to explain to him because he wasn’t ready to listen to him. She was worried because the way he was riding the bike in a rage could hurt both of them.
“Baby, please listen to me.” As she tried to make him understand, he turned his face towards her and yelled.
“Don’t fucking call me baby, and I already told you that I don’t want to listen to your vo-”
“Cole…” When she saw the truck approaching the bike, she screamed and her eyes grew wide with dread. He immediately turned the bike, and as it collided with a tree, she flew from it due to the high speed of the bike, and her head struck against a large stone kept near the tree.
