Love at the 1986

In any other man’s case, hearing the Four Beauties express their expectations
would have him jumping at the chance to prove himself.
But for Emmanuel, all he did was smile casually, unfazed by the thick tension
in the air or Yuna’s repeated attempts to bait him.
His real opponents were Teddy Tanner and not the Savage Martial Saint.
With that thought, he dismissed Yuna and ascended the staircase.
He was here to reclaim his sister.
If the head of the Quill family dared to refuse him, he wouldn’t hesitate to
unleash chaos.
Yuna’s enchanting eyes flashed with irritation. How can my looks and charm
have no effect on him?
“Mr. Lowe! Oh my, what an honor to have you here! You should’ve given us a

heads–up. It’s so rude of us not to welcome you properly!”

To Emmanuel’s surprise, as he entered the upper banquet hall, an elderly
man with gray hair approached him, flanked by a group of people, all looking
respectful.
“You must be Old Mr. Quill?”
Emmanuel wasted no time with pleasantries and asked directly.
“Indeed, I am. I’m Deangelo Quill. It’s my birthday today!”
Deangelo greeted Emmanuel with a bow, his attitude impeccable.
Emmanuel noticed that Xander and Owen were absent from the scene.
Instead, Larry, who had once lent him money and helped him, was present.
Considering Larry’s past kindness, Emmanuel chose not to explode in anger.
He returned the gesture and said, “Then I wish you a long life, Old Mr. Quill!”
“Thank you!”

Deangelo didn’t mind that Emmanuel hadn’t brought a gift and quickly
invited him in. “Mr. Lowe, your presence truly honors me. Please, take a seat!”
“No need for that!”
Emmanuel didn’t waste time and got straight to the point. “I’m here to find my
sister. She was taken by Owen’s men. Old Mr. Quill, please have him return my
sister safely!”
“What? Such a thing happened?”
Deangelo looked genuinely shocked.
Behind him, a sizable crowd of guests comprised mostly of the Quill family
and their relatives stood gathered, naturally divided into various factions.
Someone whispered in Deangelo’s ear, deliberately blocking their lips from
view.
However, Emmanuel heard it loud and clear; they were advising Deangelo to
calm him down, and he could guess the intentions behind it.

They certainly hadn’t expected him to bargo in unannounced and without
preparation, and they surely didn’t claro confront him head–on.

Indeed, after hearing the whispored words, Doangelo immediately smiled
and clasped his hands toward Emmanuel. “Mr. Lowe, thank you for coming all
this way. Please, have a drink! I’ll get in touch with my wayward grandson
right away. If he has indeed disrespected your sister, I will not let it slide!”
“Skip the drinks! I need a clear answer from you right away, Old Mr. Quill!”
Emmanuel pressed firmly, unwilling to fall for their diversionary tactics.
Deangelo frowned slightly but could only agree. “Alright,” he said.
He then turned to Larry Quill and instructed, “Get in touch with your brother
immediately!”
Larry grew agitated and responded, “Grandpa, there’s no guarantee he’ll
answer my call. If you truly want to make peace with Mr. Lowe, why don’t you have Dad or even yourself reach out to him instead?”

The room grew tense as everyone’s expressions shifted subtly. Larry’s bold
suggestion left them all taken aback.

Deangelo, now slightly embarrassed, had no choice but to scold him. “How
dare you speak to me like that! Are you saying I can’t even get you to do
what I ask anymore?”
“Understood. I’ll give it a try!” Larry had no choice but to comply and called
Owen right then and there.
As expected, the call went unanswered.
Once he reported back, Deangelo turned to Emmanuel with an apologetic smile. “Mr. Lowe, I’m truly sorry! My unruly grandson can’t be reached. How
about this? Tomorrow, I’ll host a banquet at my estate. Please, come as my
guest, and if Owen really has your sister we’ll ensure she’s returned to you
unharmed.”
Emmanuel’s brow furrowed as a murderous glint flashed in his eyes.

At this moment, he was no longer just the gynecologist he once was–he
couldn’t be dismissed with mere words.
“Old Mr. Quill, let’s cut to the chase. I’ve known for a while that the Quill family
was involved in the massacre of the Quillen family. The fact that I haven’t
acted against you yet is my way of showing goodwill. But don’t mistake that
for weakness.”
With that, he suddenly reached out and grabbed Deangelo by the collar,
pulling him close.
“How dare you!”
“Let go of him!”
“Do you have a death wish?”
Chaos erupted in the banquet hall as voices rang out, but no one dared to
approach. They had all witnessed Emmanuel’s terrifying power.
Emmanuel cast a cold glance around the room, looking at them as if they

were nothing but worthless trash.

Finally, it was Larry who stepped up, pleading with him. “Mr. Lowe, we’ve had
our fair share of dealings! Whatever my brother or anyone else has done, it’s
not my grandpa’s fault. If you need a hostage, take me instead!”
“Larry, you’re an honest man, but unfortunately, you were born into a corrupt
family. It’s hard to stay clean in the mud,” Emmanuel remarked with a sigh.
Out of respect for Larry, he loosened his grip on Deangelo but didn’t back
down. “Since you’re offering to take his place, you’ll come with me. Tomorrow
morning, I’ll visit the Quill Residence again. If my sister so much as has a
scratch on her, the entire Quill family will pay the price.”
Boom!
As his words landed, Emmanuel struck out with Dragon–Breaking Palm, and
the force of the blow sent a wall of the banquet hall crumbling to the ground.
The entire hotel seemed to shake from the impact.

The room erupted into chaos, with guests screaming in terror.
What kind of monstrous power is this?
Is he even human?!

Deangelo wiped the sweat from his brow. He could only nod repeatedly in
fear. “Mr. Lowe, we understand,” he said, his voice trembling.
Only then did Emmanuel turn and stride out of the room under the gaze of
everyone present.
Although he didn’t take Larry as a hostage, Larry still followed him closely,
both getting into Sage’s car.
Emmanuel knew leaving now was the smart choice. Killing everyone here
wouldn’t accomplish anything right away. If he wanted to destroy the Quill
family, he had to handle something else first–eliminate their allies. Without
their support, the Quills would be powerless and easy to take down.
“Emmanuel, are you dead set on going up against the chairman of the

Chamber of Commerce?” Larry asked bluntly, his boldness showing
Emmanuel glanced at him through the rearview mirror and nodded without
hesitation. “That’s right. If the Quills are bent on siding with Teddy Tanner
against my family, I’ll have no choice but to uproot the Quill family entirely.”
Larry sucked in a sharp breath, biting his lip before continuing, “Are you sure
you have the power to do that? Let’s be real here–the reason you got away
with what you did today is because the Quills weren’t prepared. But
tomorrow, if you show up here, it’s a whole different ball game.*
Emmanuel finally looked at him, a slight smirk tugging at his lips. “Why are
you warning me so openly?”
Larry sighed. “I’m well aware of the mess the Quill family has gotten itself into.
And I also know that many families and factions in Eldoria already have a
deep grudge against us. If this keeps up, it’s only a matter of time before we
face a serious reckoning.”
“Go on,” Emmanuel commanded.

Larry continued. “The Quill family has already offended half of Eldoria, and
now they’re stirring up even more trouble in Nuthana, trying to curry favor
with the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce by going after his enemies.
The situation’s spiraling out of control. I know that sooner or later, the Quills
are going to face the consequences.”
Emmanuel nodded slightly, realizing Larry wasn’t a fool. It was a shame he
didn’t hold much power within the Quill family.
“The Quills have done a lot of terrible things, but Mr. Lowe, if you do conquer
the family, I hope you won’t punish the innocent along with the guilty,” Larry
pleaded earnestly.
Emmanuel chuckled. “And what if I lose tomorrow? Will you plead for me as
well?”
