His Destructive, Toxic Love

Chapter 327

"Officer, I don't carry those documents when I leave the house. Just wait till I get home; I'll show you," Gina said, trying to grab Casper's hand.

He sat there, not budging an inch. Gina was unable to move him and started slapping him furiously.

Brock couldn't take it anymore and charged at Gina with all his might, only to be pushed back.

"You wicked woman! Don't you dare hit Mr. Casper!"

"You little rascal..." The plump woman raised her hand to strike Brock, but it was caught mid-air.

She looked at Casper standing across from her, shocked. Before she could curse, she was pushed away.

Gina stumbled backward and fell to the ground with a thud.

"How dare you, Sam! After I saved your life, this is how you repay me? You're ungrateful..."

The plump woman sat on the ground, bawling her eyes out.

The officer frowned at the scene.

He looked at Casper, pointed at Gina, and asked, "Is she your wife?"

Casper shook his head.

Gina cried even harder.

After a few words, the officer saw no need to stay and left with Gina.

Brock rushed into Casper's arms. "Mr. Casper, I know you're sick, but don't be afraid. I'll protect you."

The little guy's words instantly melted Casper's heart.

He chuckled foolishly, lifting Brock up and spinning him around.

Eliza was perplexed.

What on earth was happening?

Did Gina just say she was Casper's lifesaver?

Did that indirectly prove that he is Casper?

Just like Casper once told her, it was impossible for two people to look exactly alike unless they were twins.

The rain never stopped, nor did Casper leave.

He spent every day playing various games with Brock and letting him ride piggyback. Brock was having the time of his life.

After the rain cleared, Brock didn't want to go to preschool.

He just wanted to stay at home and play with Mr. Casper.

"You need to go to preschool today, and mommy has to go to work, okay?" Eliza said sternly to Brock.

Brock looked dejectedly at Casper. "Then what about Mr. Casper? Who will take care of him?"

"I will figure something out."

"Oh."

Brock reluctantly left, waving goodbye to Casper. "Mr. Casper, play with you again after school. Be good at home, just like me, okay?"

Casper smiled woodenly, mimicking Brock's gesture and waving back at him.

After dropping Brock off at preschool, Eliza went to work.

All day, she was distracted, pondering how to deal with her problem at home-Casper.

In the past few days, she had observed him secretly.

The scar on his abdomen was indeed there, further proving his identity as Casper.

But his foolishness wasn't an act.

He truly had become a fool.

He didn't recognize her, nor did he recognize Brock.

Eliza didn't know how to deal with a fool.

Should she send him back to the Welton family?

He probably didn't remember anyone from the Welton family either.

Carlos came over, tapped on her desk, and smiled. "Daydreaming, Ms. Valerie?"

"Is there something you need?" she asked, redirecting her gaze toward him.

"Yesterday, I went to the construction site and heard something. That fool... is now at your place?"

Eliza wasn't sure why Carlos was asking about this.

Considering Gina's nature, she must have made it known to everyone.

"He is... at my place," Eliza admitted, unable to hide it.

Carlos was surprised by her straightforward admission, becoming even more puzzled. "How can you keep a fool at your place? Have you forgotten that he once attacked you? Such people are emotionally unstable and too dangerous."

"I haven't decided where to send him yet."

Anyway, sending him back to Gina was out of the question. If it came down to it, she would just have to take Casper to Robin's Hospital and let him stay there as a patient.
