His Cure

Chapter 8 Stealing my looks?

Beatrice’s heart starts to palpitate in terror.

Geez.

She ran to nab her phone from the couch and took the stairs up to his room hurriedly.

Just when things seems to be getting better, geez. She just have to ruin it.

It was around 4:00pm and the atmosphere is a little cool.

He stood before the window, his hands buried in his pockets. The sun enveloped his face in its beauty.

Gregory himself is a man of beauty, so, you could imagine how more beautiful he is when the beautiful sun shone on his face.

As much as he looks handsome and cool, he emits a kind of dangerous aura. One that Beatrice wished she would never witness.

But right now, her nightmare is about to come into reality.

How.. funny this is. It deserves to be laugh over, yeah?, but nah. She got there in the morning and within hours, she’d already discovered him and so much has happened also.

A day like this is something she would never pray for, ever again.

Gregory clenched his jaw and turned the left side of his face to her.

Beatrice breathed out a sigh, holding on to her chest that keeps racing so hard like it’s the moment of her death and misery.

Her fear soon turned into anger but she knows better never to vent those out.

Here she is, with a man she barely knows, a man that told her she is stuck with him here until he said otherwise!

What was she to do than keep shut and swallow her anger in, in order not to get herself in trouble?

This man though! What’s his deal with her?

“Take the kids to get their clothes.”he stated and took his face back to the outside world.

That was a shock to her. Didn’t he?-

She took a gulp in and nodded.

Whatever this is, it’s the better for her.

“O-kay.”she clears her throat and walked to the door, feeling the ground below her feet was about to tear up and swallow her in.

How could he instil so much fear in her just in hours?

She shuts the door behind her and moved to the next room where the children’s chatters were coming from.

She placed a little knock on the door before placing her hand on the doorknob and twisting it. The door creaked opened and she puts her head in.

“Let’s go get your shoppings done.”she drawled out in a snort.

She came here as a writer, but here she is, almost babysitting some rude kids.

“Etiquette!!”Kiara scoffed.

“It’s not much of a surprise to me tho, since you poor people lack good manners.”she added with an eyes roll.

Beatrice snickered.

“Bitch.”she mumbled under her breath before moving her face back and closing the door.

She went down to the living room.

She decided to change into a new top since the one she has on is reeking of sweats.

And, that was when it struck her!

Her belongings has been in the living room all these while. Isn’t she going to get at least a room to stay in?

She huffed and walked to her luggage box that was resting against the wall. She laid it flat on the floor and opened it.

She brought out the first top she saw.

It’s a crop top tho and that would be perfect for her high – waist jean trouser, right?

She locked the box with 5033 and stood up.

She doffed out of the previous one and wore the new one.

She turned on the camera on her phone so as to see if she looks presentable enough.

She chuckled. She like this even more because her trouser is baggy. She looks beautiful.

She turned off the camera and placed her phone down on the table.

She repacked her hair into a bun and grabbed her side bag.

“Hmph! – Stealing my looks?”Kiara voice sounded.

She stared up and found her coming down from the stairs exactly in the same…

Oh, dang it!

She was putting on a white crop top and Jean trouser as her.

“Whatever. I will let it pass since I’m too swamped up to bicker right now and oh, well, I would never change my unique combination because of you here.”

“You said you didn’t want to bicker.”Beatrice rolled her eyes up to the ceiling.

Such a pain in the ass!

“I have just three hours for shopping. I have to get back in time so as to FaceTime with my friends. Those beings will tear me out if I should be a little late.”

“No one asked you!”Beatrice felt irritated.

She is so young and yet so showy?

What the heck?!

They all moved out of the house.

How will they get there tho?

This is a lake and finding a.. oh, what is she even saying?

They would have to do a lot of walks before they get to a road where they would find a cab, or isn’t that the way it is?

There is a latest car parked in front of the house but she felt just too embarrassed to tell these kids she’s got no driver license. More of the fact, she cannot drive.

She stood at akimbo, trying to cook up a lie.

“The cab I ordered should be here in five minutes time,”Kiara uttered with a sigh.

“But, that seems to be a lot.”she massaged her neck.

“How old are you, Kiara?”Beatrice blurts out and hated herself immediately.

“I’m five and half, why?”she looked up at her.

“Nothing.”Beatrice flashed a smile.

This small girl already know to order a cab online but she?

Oh, God. She is so much of an embarrassment.

After about three minutes, they heard the sound of a car and turned to see that the cab is there already.

It pulled off in front of them and they all got in.

Back in his room, Gregory kept huffing.

No, he should be able to cope. He would definitely manage.

His hand balled in a fist and he shuts his eyes.

He shouldn’t have let her off.

That story, he needs it now.

But Beatrice is out, and that’s another story.

*Ugh!*he punched the wall.

His breathing got back to normal and he stared at his bloddy hand.

He grinded his teeth in anger.

“Mother!!!”He growls and gave the glassy window a blow and it shattered into pieces.

His hand drips of blood and seeing that, a smirk rose up to his lips.
