Her, To Home

Chapter 12

“Is this your fucking plan? Because it sucks.” The hiss made him want to hit himself in his fucking brain. She was right. The plan sucked and there was no way in hell she is going to come with him pushing and pulling and a small, tiny, almost uncared part didn’t want that but damn that part was like a earwig and yet, when he needed the reminder- it never bothered to come to his mind!

“Don’t curse, O’Brian.” That was all he could say in answer.

“Don’t curse, O’Brian.” She quietly mimicked him but not quite enough which made his smirk.

Who else would have so much guts?

He waited patiently for her to finish her breakfast, knowing they were half an hour late but telling her now would just ruin his fun. He couldn’t help but stare at her mouth which was chewing the food like vengeance. It was fascinating and amusing and fucking temping at the same time.

When without a work she rose, he followed her quietly, watching her in amusement as she angrily stomped outside and quietly sit in his car like she owned it.

It made him smile.

She didn’t even know it herself how much she belonged to him.

The drive to the school was short and he spend it glancing at her about every two second which was she didn’t notice because she had miss placed her physics report. He had tried his very best to not laugh out loud but watching her distress as the school drew nearer, he knew he will make a sound soon enough.

And he did, he had burst out laughing when she refuses to get out of the car.

“This is not funny you asshole! Today was the last day!” She growled at him which smacking him.

“Did you even do it?” He asked while grinning.

And to his not so surprise, she actually froze and thought over that which made him laugh all over again. The yet again panic of not remembering whether she did it or not could never be not funny.

She was fucking adorable.

“I—I did do it. Will you keep your mouth shut? If you can’t help, stop making the situation worse.” She scolds him with her fired up eyes and he just wanted to kiss her till she couldn’t breathe properly.

“Get out, I’ll handle it.” He sighed, looking away from her before he actually does kiss her.

“How? By threatening the teacher? I don’t think so.”

“O’Brian… trust me.”

He had turned his eyes back to her when he said that. He had tried his best to soften his voice and expression. Her eyes which were frustrated turned blank as she stared back at him for a long time. He had no idea what was going in the head of hers but when she dropped her eyes, he knew he had won the battle.

Without a word, she got out of the car as he watched her till, she entered into the building. His eyes then moved towards the surroundings, old habit coming to the surface. Maybe he couldn’t believe it himself that he was free, free to love Sara O’Brian.

Seeing nothing out of ordinary, he got out as well and slowly entered the building. Making his way towards principal’s office, he thought over how to handle this. Of course, he can always threaten the old hag, what O’Brian doesn’t know won’t hurt her.

The sectary greeted him with vary attitude and asked him to wait. He didn’t have to wait long, thank God to that because the woman’s eyes were pissing him off. She was probably new to the town for staring at him so carelessly.

The principal wasn’t very happy to see him either but knowing his reputation he made his paper through.

His demand to have the same classes as O’Brian was met with a knowing look which he returned with a blank one. It was so obvious to everyone except that damn, oblivious brat.

He was just about to lose his cool when the schedule was handed to him. He glanced at it and without a word, left for the search of that old hag of the physics teacher.

He found the room easily and frowned when he saw that there was a class going on. He was already annoyed enough as it is, it had been an hour since he had seen O’Brian and he was getting frustrated. Without second guessing, he entered the class full and ignoring every eye on him- stopped in front of the old hag’s table.

The old hag looked at him from above his glasses and raised an eyebrow.

“Mister Wood. How can I help you?” He asked, leaning on his chair.

“The report due today- move it further.” Dean replied with hesitation. His voice firm and daring.

“Do I even have to ask why? Miss O’Brian have not handed her report, have she?” The old hag asked and a nerve twitched in Dean’s head.

“That is my business. Do what you are told.” Dean growled in answer.

The old hag stared at him for some time but it was enough to increase Dean’s fury and he probably saw that because he nodded and with a wave of hand, dismissed him.

He turned and was just about to step out of the class when the old hag’s voice pauses his steps.

“You cannot always help her, Mister Wood.”

Dean turned his head to meet the light blue eyes of the old man. It seemed like everyone had held their breaths, waiting for him to blow his fuse.

“Watch me, old man.”
